One of the problems with all serial liars is that eventually their lies contradict themselves. We are seeing that on full display regarding the strange case of Ray Epps. We might not even know about Ray Epps if it wasn’t for Tucker Carlson. Tucker was sent all those videos from January 6^th, and he used them to display the actions of Ray Epps. There were all these videos of him waving signs and encouraging people to storm the Capital. Yet, incredibly, the DOJ just didn’t seem to care. They prosecuted everyone else in Washington, D.C. who even appears to have spit on the sidewalk outside of the Capital building on January 6th. But they didn’t prosecute Ray Epps. In Tucker’s opinion, the only rational explanation for this “special treatment”, was that Ray Epps had to be an informant or perhaps even an undercover agent for the FBI.

Now, after all the other suspects have been rotting in jail for months if not years, the DOJ finally decides to prosecute Ray Epps. The attorneys for Ray Epps stupidly decide to sue Tucker Carlson and FOX News for defamation. The argument appears to be that because Tucker falsely accused him of being an informant for the FBI, that resulted in the DOJ charging him with criminal actions. If this makes zero sense to you, it is because it makes zero sense. The MSM, almost as determined to destroy FOX News as they are to destroy Donald Trump responded in horror. In a desperate attempt to defend Ray Epps, they admitted that there was no insurrection, and argued that Ray Epps was just another over-enthusiastic Trump supporter, guilty of nothing more than disgust at the entire process. You know, like most people who paid attention to the 2020 election.

Well, there goes the neighborhood, or at least the MSM clinging to the ridiculous theory that this was an insurrection, an attempt to overthrow the government, a day worse that December 7, 1941, when Japan attacked the United States. In their haste to defend Epps, apparently because trashing FOX News is what really matters, they forgot something. If Ray Epps wasn’t participating in an insurrection, neither was anyone else.

This is just one example of how tide has turned. There is an old saying, that you go broke slowly, then at the speed of light. The narrative has been that anyone claiming the 2020 election was stolen was telling the big lie, after being brainwashed by Donald Trump. The problem is that a huge percentage of people still think the election was stolen, and they are right. Even if the MSM did nothing more than help the DOJ cover-up the Hunter Biden laptop, and they did a ton more than that, this alone was illegally interfering in a Presidential election by lying to people about that laptop. They pretended it was Russian disinformation when they knew that was absolute nonsense. Numerous polls show that if people knew the Hunter laptop was legit, this was so awful that they would have never voted for Joe Biden. Bingo!

But there is more, much more. Does anyone really trust a national election that depends on how votes are counted in places like Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York city or any other major metropolitan area? Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it. The historical record of systemic fraud in these areas’ dates back to when they first started keeping records.

Another real problem was numerous late minute ballot drops, all miraculously just enough to “give” the Presidency to Joe Biden. It included numerous reports of Poll watchers blocked from actually watching. Then there was the massive vote by mail election with the votes counted by machines programmed and operated by Democrats. Apparently the MSM thought no one noticed. We all noticed.

There were also those unrelenting attacks on Trump by the liberal MSM who routinely accused him of lying. On the other hand, Biden, who actually is a serial liar, is seldom if ever accused of that by the MSM. They frequently just edit the video to ignore the silliness. Then, when caught beyond dispute, they just casually dismiss this as Biden being Biden. The reality is that the only thing that ever mattered to them was that Joe Biden was not Donald Trump.

All of this is crashing down before our eyes. CNN ratings have cratered beyond recovery. Although rare, the rest of the MSM, and even some people on CNN, on occasion, are starting to report somewhat honestly about Joe Biden. Perhaps that is because they cannot ignore the fact that he has made us an international laughingstock, only the people in the U.S. are not laughing. It is ludicrous to think that Joe Biden is remotely capable of running an effective campaign for re-election. The only reason that is even considered a possibility is that despite the obvious problems he is still not Donald Trump. The liberal left would literally drink poisonous Kool Aid if that would get rid of Donald Trump. They would take a double dose if that would destroy FOX News in the process. They can’t stand the thought that someone who occasionally disagrees with them is watched by so many people. Once again, the enemy of their enemies, Donald Trump and FOX News, is their friend. Hence, the idiotic decision to try and provide cover for Ray Epps, who inconveniently is on video doing the exact same thing that got others prosecuted and convicted and sentenced to ridiculously long prison terms. Suddenly, the prosecution of Ray Epps is wrong, because he is just another over enthusiastic Trump supporter with no intention of overthrowing the government, just legitimately angry at the whole process. In doing so they forgot something. If Ray Epps wasn’t participating in an insurrection, neither was anyone else.

The result is an “Epps tide”, and while a rising tide raises all boats, an Epps tide can leave a whole lot of people stranded in the mud.

We are now officially in “Never, Never Land.” Democrats and their fawning supporters in the MSM are on a mission to destroy Donald Trump once and for all. They may or may not succeed, but they are absolutely going to do anything and everything to make this happen. At the same time, the same people are suddenly realizing what most Americans already knew. Joe Biden is a complete and total disaster as President, and he has the potential to take the Democratic Party down with him. Finally, the only person they fear more than both Donald Trump and Joe Biden is Kamala Harris.

Just think about this for a moment. The ONLY person mentioned seriously as an alternative to Joe Biden is, gasp, Gavin Newsom. That would be the same Gavin Newsom who has achieved the impossible, changing the lyrics from “California Dreaming” to “Dreaming of leaving California.” One poll allegedly showed that up to 40% of people living in California would prefer to move elsewhere. That is incredible when one considers that California used to be the ultimate land of opportunity.

Yet this is the best alternative Democrats have to Joe Biden. That says more about the Democratic Party than it does about Joe Biden. Joe Biden was only “selected” to be the nominee in 2020 because every other candidate self-destructed. One of the first to self-destruct was Kamala Harris. Few remember that prior to her speaking in public, she was considered a serious threat to win the nomination. She had everything going for her. She has dark skin. She is a female. She was District Attorney for San Francisco. She was Attorney General for California. She was a United State Senator. What could possibly go wrong? Easy. It became very obvious that there is an enormous difference between winning a statewide election in California, as a Democrat, as having any real accomplishments. When the rest of the country got a first-hand look at Kamala Harris, they just giggled and said “seriously?”

Every statewide elected official in California is a liberal Democrat. Part of the problem is the inept California Republican Party. I lived in California for over three decades. During the last couple of decades, the only thing certain is that Republicans would choose nominees for office that had zero chance of winning an election. The only exception was Arnold Schwarzenegger who ran inspire of the Republican Party. When Kamala Harris ran for the U.S. Senate, the Republican candidate came in third. The choice was between Kamala Harris and Loretta Sanchez. Duf Sundhem (who?) came in a distant third. The other Republicans were big names like Phil Wyman, Tom Del Beccaro, Greg Conlon, Steve Stokes, George C. Yang, Karen Roseberry, Tom Palzer, Ron Unz, Don Krampe, Jarrell Williamson, Von Hougo and write in candidate Alexis Stewart. The last serious election was the recall election against Gavin Newsom. I still remember watching the news on election night and noticing that seven million Democrats had voted for Newsom before the polls closed. Since there are about ten million Democrats in California, this means that we are to believe that 70% of them voted prior to election day to save the world’s greatest Governor, Gavin Newsom. No one in the MSM seemed to notice that this might have been a little suspicious. What? Question the integrity of an election in California. UNTHINKABLE. I rest my case.

When writing this I realized something important, and smiled. The Republican Party in California is remarkably similar to the Democratic Party nationwide. There literally is no one on the bench.

So, my prediction is this. The Democratic nominee with not be Joe Biden. The Republican nominee will not be Donald Trump. If you want to see the candidate Democrats fear, just check out who the MSM is targeting. Right now, that is Donald Trump. Next in line is Ron DeSantis. What the MSM and the establishment may be missing is this: “To wise people who do not trust the MSM or the establishment, being attacked by these untrustworthy clowns is a badge of honor.” That is how Donald Trump won in 2016. It just may get him elected again.

But if he is elected, Democrats will spend the next four years making it impossible for him to govern. They would rather see the country fail than to see Donald Trump win.

We are now in Never, Never Land. The rest of the world is laughing at us. The most powerful nation in the history of this planet has descended into a bizarre place where we cannot find anyone acceptable to be the most powerful person on earth, the President of the United States? Never, Never Land where there is no consideration to doing the right thing for the right reason.

What many people have long suspected a federal judge has confirmed. The Biden administration was colluding with social meaning companies like Twitter and Facebook to censor unwelcome debate. Most of us were aware of this, because we saw it happening. If someone wrote an article even hinting that the COVID Vaccine might not be necessary for someone with natural immunity, this would be blocked and replaced with a reference to CDC guidelines. It did not end there. While I have never seen an incident where unjust criticism of Donald Trump was ever blocked, criticism of the Biden administration had a very different standard. This was more than obvious with the way the Hunter Biden laptop story was buried. The “wicked which” was the group of unelected bureaucrats who decided “which” was and was not misinformation. This was easy to understand, unless you were a Kool-Aid drinking left wing liberal Democrat who foolishly believed that CNN was the most trusted name in news. It was the most trusted name, by those who couldn’t bring themselves to consider any alternative explanation.

This Federal judge not only ruled against the Biden administration, but he did also so with a scathing rebuke. This was so strongly worded and so well-reasoned and sourced that even the liberal media is paying attention.

What matters here is that the Department of Health and Human Services, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, the US Center for Disease Control, the Justice Department, the FBI, the U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre all told to stop communicated directly with social media. They are prohibited from: “specifically flagging content or posts on social-media platforms and/or forwarding such to social-media companies urging, encouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner for removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech.”

This impacts Facebook/Meta, Twitter, Youtube/Goggle, Whatsapp, Instagram, WeChat, TikTok and others.

This decision went off like a bomb, and unless this decision is overturned, it will change everything. While we all suspected such collusion, clearly the Judge feels that this is a systemic administration wide system designed to promote the Biden Administration narrative and to stifle anyone and everyone who dares disagree. A lot of us realized that a whole lot of people were routinely repeating Democratic talking points and ignoring anyone who dared argue with the narrative, but this is confirmation that it was more than coincidence, it was a deliberate strategy orchestrated by the Biden Administration and embraced by social media.

At a minimum, we are going to start hearing the other side of the story and that alone may be devastating. This is made worse by the increasingly obvious development that many of the harshest critics of the Biden Administration COVID 19 restrictions turned out to be the ones who were right. Combine that with the fact that most people are so over COVID. The real problem is that this absolutely shreds the absurd MSM assertion that they are the ones who are fair and balanced, and Fox News only listens to right wing conservatives. The truth is coming out and this is increasingly difficult to safely ignore. If one watched the White House Press briefings recently, admittedly a tough assignment, things have changed dramatically. Karine Jean-Pierre is finding it increasingly difficult to respond to questions, she reads almost every word of every response from a script and the repeated questions show that few people are buying this anymore.

What should have been obvious for a long time is now too obvious to ignore. This is what happens when people are caught in just too many bald-faced lies. Eventually, people don’t believe you anymore, even if you are accidentally telling the truth for a change. We are now at the point where we still may not know who we can trust, but we absolutely know who can never be trusted again. The Wicked which is on full display, and it is a very ugly scene.

While the MSM is still trying to pretend that the walls are closing in on Donald Trump, again, the opposite may be true. The best evidence of this was the decision by someone at the DOJ to leak that audio recording of Trump allegedly holding up classified documents and bragging about them. For one thing, it is hard to imagine how that tape was obtained legally. If someone gave a search warrant for audio recordings of private conversation with Donald Trump, they might be wise to start looking for a new career. If the person who took the recording was “wiretapping” Trump, that will be even worse. But what makes this such a spectacular mistake is that the indictment of Trump doesn’t even mention this audio tape. This means the only reason for leaking it was to prejudice a jury and, of course, the MSM. That puts a serious taint on the credibility of the Special Prosecutor, Jack Smith. Someone, by the way, who was previously criticized by the Supreme Court for prosecutorial abuse. Remarkable.

At the same time, the whistleblower accusing the DOJ of covering up for Hunter Biden has been very effective. He is obviously a very skilled investigator, and he does not say things he cannot prove. When he said that U.S. Attorney Weis said he was not authorized to investigate Hunter Biden, other than in Delaware, Attorney General Merritt Garland responded by having Weiss sign a letter.

The key paragraph in that letter stated:

I want to make clear that, as the Attorney General has stated, I have been granted ultimate authority over this matter, including responsibility for deciding where, when, and whether to file charges and for making decisions necessary to preserve the integrity of the prosecution, consistent with federal law, the Principles of Federal Prosecution, and Departmental regulations.

The MSM conveniently assumed that this proved that the testimony by the Whistle Blower, Special Agent Gary Shapley, was inaccurate. But there are some serious problems with that. The meeting described by Mr. Shapley was also witnessed by Baltimore FBI Special Agent in Charge Tom Sobocinsk, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Ryeshia Holley and IRS Special Agent in Charge Darrell Waldon. Unless Mr. Shaplely made this up, he can easily collaborate this.

Then there was the letter written by Mr. Weis to Jim Jordan. Here is a copy of that letter:

This is exactly what he wrote:

“I want to make clear that, as the Attorney General has stated, I have been granted ultimate authority over this matter, including responsibility for deciding where, when, and whether to file charges and for making decision necessary to preserve the integrity of the prosecution consistent with federal  law, the Principles of Federal Prosecution and Department regulations.”

This statement could be accurate and still be highly misleading. Several former U.S. Attorneys have pointed out that while Mr. Weiss may have had exactly this authority, regarding matters he investigated, his jurisdiction was restricted to Delaware. Many of the most serious allegations against Hunter Biden did not take place in Delaware. Mr. Weiss did not say that he had been appointed Special Counsel, so anything that happened in another jurisdiction was off limits to him. He not only could not bring charges regarding something that happened outside his jurisdiction, but he also couldn’t even investigate things that happened outside his jurisdiction.

This letter sure looks like it was carefully crafted to avoid answering other questions. One notes that the letter went on to say:

“Here, that required that I respectfully protect from disclosure the confidential law enforcement information the Committee seeks. My ongoing work would be “seriously prejudiced by revelation of the direction of [the matter], information about evidence obtained and assessments of the strengths and weaknesses of various aspects of [the matter].”

In other words, Mr. Weiss may have taken action that is completely consistent with the duties of his office, but that does not mean that the testimony by Mr. Shapley is inaccurate. It is interesting to note that Weiss considers this an ongoing investigation, but he has already recommended a plea deal for Hunter Biden.

He is going to be interviewed by the House Judiciary Committee and there are some very serious members of that committee. One of them is Kevin Kiley. Mr. Kiley is well known in the Sacramento area. He has a law degree from Yale, and he has been extremely effective in challenging Governor Gavin Newsom. The following article explains:

This is far from over and if members of the committee ask the right questions, they will either get confirmation regarding what happened from Mr. Weiss, or a refusal to answer. I will be shocked if he denies the meeting that took place with Mr. Shapley took place and that Mr. Shapley is lying about what happened. The most he can do is try to spin this away as meaning something other than the obvious.

There is also a chance that the judge will refuse to honor the plea deal by Hunter Biden. That is hard to predict. But one thing is certain, the stench of the cover-up has reached the level where even the MSM has suddenly become curious. Jonathan Karl challenged Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna bout the “IRS Whistleblower” testimony. He even got Khanna to say the following:

KARL: But sir, the whistleblower is saying that Weiss, who was appointed by Trump, said that he was not the deciding official on this case. If that turns out to be true, doesn’t that directly contradict what the Attorney General has said?

KHANNA: But Weiss is not saying that. Isn’t this the source Weiss? I mean, if Weiss was saying that I would have a concern. If Weiss was out there saying, I didn’t have total authority, there was interference. But Weiss — Weiss is the key person and he’s not saying that and there were charges that were pursued.

Unless Weiss is prepared to discredit the testimony by Shapley, Attorney General Merritt Garland, the DOJ, the IRS and the FBI all have a very serious problem. If they have lost people like Ro Khanna, they have lost the country.

This is another case of leaking information, carefully scripted, while refusing to allow anyone to see the actual evidence. If this leak falls apart, under scrutiny, then we could see bi-partisan support for reforming the DOJ, the FBI and the IRS. The ultimate challenge with bleak gate is that the only alternative to a bi-partisan investigation would be the election of Donald Trump, who absolutely will act. Democrats may just fear that enough to consider doing the right thing, since their personal survival may trump (pun intended) their preference for continuing the cover-up.

There is now a report that the submersible taking people down on a sightseeing trip to visit the Titanic may have developed a crack. There were apparently warning sensors that went off if there were signs of the hull cracking. However, at the depth the vessel was operating at, there is no such thing as a minor crack. By the time the sensors noticed a crack, it is too late. The vessel was about to implode.

For years the Democratic Party and particularly Joe Biden have been surrounded by a protective cover. No matter what happened, without regard to the evidence, a lot of people who should have known better pretended there was no problem and the MSM blissfully went along. That all changed overnight. Now there is an obvious crack in that protective cover and the results are almost certain to be catastrophic for the Biden administration.

There have long been rumors about Biden corruption. There was even the famous video of Joe Biden bragging about extorting the Ukraine with the threat of denying U.S. aid if they did not fire a prosecutor. But the same people who could never ignore any hint of a problem with Donald Trump, could not bring themselves to believe that the obvious was, well, obvious. All the warning signs were there with red flags flying high, but those who choose to ignore cannot possibly see. That all started to change when the DOJ gave Hunter Biden a sweetheart plea bargain that defies all logic. Then these whistleblowers came forward providing eyewitness testimony that the fix was in. This was combined with the idiotic decision to invite Hunter Biden to the same state dinner as, cough, Attorney General Merrick Garland. The straw that really broke the camel’s back was a WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden to a Chinese business associate:

“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled,” Hunter Biden allegedly wrote. “Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight.”

“And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction,” the message continued. “I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”

This is so obvious that every major network is all over the story and they all smell blood in the water. It is like someone just turned on a light switch after all these years. Some will assume that this is because the establishment is finally ready to turn on Joe Biden. We may never know exactly why the change, but the significance of the change is impossible to ignore. The protective shield just disintegrated and there is zero chance of it ever being put back together. Once the press starts asking these kinds of questions and refusing to accept nonsense as an answer, we are getting very close to the end. We can be certain that every major new organization in the country is on this story and baring a genuine miracle, no one in the Biden administration has anything resembling an answer.

For a long time, it was hard to understand why things that are so obvious to many of us were invisible to supposedly brilliant people. At times one wondered if we were living on a different planet or even a parallel universe. We now know that it was not that we were seeing things that were not there, but rather that there were so many others ready, willing and able to pretend they did not see what was beyond obvious. It was even harder to understand why so few thought this was important. They were so focused on stopping Donald Trump that few bothered to count the cost of replacing him with someone as awful as Joe Biden.

Now we know that cost. Everyone knows that cost. We are way beyond the point of no return. The first question is when and how Joe Biden departs stage right. His departure is no longer even a question. The next question is how many people will go down with him. The least likely outcome is that Joe Biden will ever admit the extent of his own culpability. He will never even consider doing the right thing for the right reason.

Soon Joe is going to find himself all alone on a sinking ship with few who even pretend to remember his name. But the option of abandoning this ship with no consequences has gone with the wind. When this ship of state sinks, as it must, a lot of people are going to go along for the ride. The rest of us will be left with one thought. About time.

If you listen to the commentary regarding the indictment of Donald Trump, one might believe that this time the walls really are closing in on him. But wise people will recall that the walls have been closing in on Donald Trump since he first announced his candidacy for President of the United States.

I do not know the facts regarding this case and neither do any of you. All we know is the result of leaks, almost all negative regarding Donald Trump. There is one possible explanation for these leaks, they are intended to try Donald Trump in the court of public opinion before actually trying him in a court of law. Perhaps I am wrong, but I suspect that if the case were really this strong, there would be no need for such leaks. In fact, the Special Counsel would be furious that this is happening.

To put this in perspective, a whistleblower reported that Hunter Biden was tipped off about a pending IRS search warrant regarding a location where he was storing documents. Contrast that with the swat team swarming Mar-a-logo with neither Trump nor his legal counsel allowed to observe. After the John Durham report does anyone seriously believe that no one in the FBI is capable of planting evidence? Most FBI agents are honest and honorable people doing a difficult job. But if whistleblower accusations are accurate, those people were shoved aside and replaced by people who may not have the same level of scruples.

When you combine this with reports of wiretaps and secret recording of Trump, with the full knowledge that he is running for President, alarm bells should be going off. Remember that Democrats impeached Donald Trump for daring to suggest that Ukraine investigate well documented rumors of corruption involving Joe Biden. (Rumors that by the way look pretty darn accurate.) At the time, Joe Biden wasn’t even an announced candidate, but Trump was impeached for even suggesting an investigation of a political opponent. Now, all the concerns about interfering with a federal election appear to have gone with the wind. We hear comments that no one is above the law, but no one should be below the law either. Even if one hates Donald Trump and considers him to be a narcissistic jerk, that does not justify taking away his rights.

The sad reality is that regardless of the final outcome few will have much faith in the results. Those expecting Trump to die in prison are hopelessly naïve. Some have even admitted that they would cut him a great deal if he would just drop out of the race. How convenient. That outcome, after all, sure appears to be the primary motivation for this fiasco. On the other hand, if the charges are dismissed, then the MSM will still argue that this does not mean Trump isn’t still guilty as sin. That result is as sure as rain.

Perhaps it is just me, but the prediction that the walls are finally closing in on Donald Trump are only slightly more believable than the predictions that Maldives is sinking, again. Not quite. It turns out that environmental officials warned that Maldives would be completely under water within 30 years. This prediction was made very recently. No one noticed that the same prediction was made in 1988. Then a sea level increase of 20 to 30 centimeters would be have Maldives underwater by 2018.

“In September 1988, the Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported a “gradual rise in average sea level is threatening to completely cover this Indian Ocean nation of 1196 small islands within the next 30 years,” based on predictions made by government officials.

Then-Environmental Affairs Director Hussein Shihab told AFP “an estimated rise of 20 to 30 centimeters in the next 20 to 40 years could be ‘catastrophic’ for most of the islands, which were no more than a meter above sea level.”

The article went on to suggest the Maldives, along with its 200,000 inhabitants, could “end” sooner than expected if drinking water supplies dry up by 1992 “as predicted.”

Today the population of Maldives is 568,741. Maldives has actually scaled up infrastructure investments since 2016. The Maldives are only about 4 feet about sea level, but it sure looks like they are more likely to sink under a financial burden brought about by out-of-control spending long before the sea gets the job done.

The John Durham hearings were a showcase of shameless behavior by House Democrats. John Durham is a highly respected U.S. Attorney with an outstanding record. His report is extremely well written, and he is extremely careful to document the facts supporting his findings. His report should have been shocking and sobering to every honest citizen. He described unacceptable political bias in the DOJ and the FBI regarding the Russian collusion hoax.

Unfortunately, only a few of the Democrats on that committee even pretended to be fair and objective. The rest of them attacked the messenger and demeaned his character with zero evidence to support these accusations. This was only interrupted by verbal assaults on Donald Trump. They screamed and pounded in a desperate attempt to paint this investigation itself as politically motivated. That is ironic considering the inconvenient fact that Bill Barr has made scathing comments about Donald Trump. One thing is crystal clear from Mr. Durham’s testimony, Donald Trump had nothing to do with this investigation.

The house voted to censure Adam Schiff for deliberating misrepresenting the facts regarding the Russian Collusion hoax to the American people. He was ordered to stand in the well of the House so that the censure order could be read to him. Incredibly he was surrounded by House Democrats, loudly protesting this well-earned censure while cheering him on in a fruitless attempt to prevent Kevin McCarthy was reading this resolution out loud. They were patting Schiff on the back, shaking his hand and praising him.

Yet there is zero doubt that Schiff was guilty of deliberating lying about the Russian Collusion hoax, both to members of the House and to the entire country. The evidence is indisputable, but that did not and does not matter to House Democrats. The result was a public display by far too many people in leadership positions within the Democratic Party to refuse to even consider sober reflection regarding a very serious problem. A problem that could impact them directly, if a Republican President were to use the intelligence agencies, the DOJ and the FBI for purely partisan purposes. What goes around comes around, never more so than in this situation. What’s more, based on this public display of completely irresponsible behavior by House Democrats, Republicans may be compelled to do this.

Winston Churchill was once criticized for bombing German cities. His response was: “The most unethical thing I could ever do would be to lose this war to Adolph Hitler.” He was right about that. Barry Goldwater once said: “I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!” 

These Democrats just gave a public display of why they should never be trusted with political power. They showed little or no interest in justice or fair play. They showed even less interest in the facts. Their sole concern is gaining and maintaining political power without regard to the cost to anyone else. They have publicly declared war on liberty and the pursuit of justice. Moderation in the face of such a display is no virtue. They will never consider listening to the other side on any subject. They will never consider doing the right thing for the right reason. They aren’t even willing to let anyone voice an opinion that is inconsistent with their personal narrative.

The good news is that there is a new class of Republicans who understand this and who are prepared to engage. Perhaps I am wrong, but I think these hearings may have done more than anyone could imagine, if only because Democrats were put in a position to put their full disregard for justice and fair play on full display. The MSM will ignore this, just like they ignore anything and everything that is inconsistent with their well-rehearsed narrative. But those who were paying attention, with an ounce of objectivity, could not fail to understand.

The good news is that those who focus solely on making a loud noise and shouting down at everyone else eventually succeed only in exhausting themselves in the process. Those who cannot see reality cannot possibly manage it very well. That is why the good guys always win. Sometimes, sadly, this is often only after the bad guys self-destruct after becoming too focused on killing each other to even consider a wise path forward.

What we saw yesterday was a full public display of shameless behavior. Sometimes it is challenging to figure out who is worthy of our trust. But it is easy to understand who simply cannot be trusted.

Some things are so obvious and so bad that one couldn’t even make this up. Hunter Biden only has one thing going for him, his dad is Joe Biden, the “Big Guy.” Hunter decided to join the Navy Reserves, as a commission officer, when he was in his 40s. First, he received an age waiver. Second, he got another waiver because he disclosed that he had used drugs in the past. Didn’t matter. This was Vice President Joe Biden’s son, so the fix was in. He was sworn into the Navy by his father, Vice President Joe Biden. He lasted less than one day. On his very first day, he had a urine sample taken which tested positive for cocaine. Hunter argued that the didn’t know how the drugs got in his system and suggested that cigarettes he had bummed from a stranger might have been responsible. No one bought this and he was given an “administrative discharge.”

It should be no surprise that serious attempts were made to cover up this entire fiasco, but the truth eventually did come out. A truth that was absolutely ignored by the DNC and Joe Biden’s fawning supporters in the MSM.

Hunter Biden file: A brief Navy career – Washington Times

In April of 2018, Hunter Biden brough three liquid damaged laptops into a repair shop. He left one laptop for repair and never returned to pick it up. When the repair man saw what was on the laptop, it was so disturbing that he feared for his own safety. He told the FBI, which responded by showing up two weeks later with a subpoena allowing them to seize the laptop. He became concerned that the FBI would just bury this, so at some point he gave a copy of the hard drive to attorneys for Rudy Giuliani. When some of the things on that hard drive were disclosed, there was a wide-spread attempt to dismiss this as “Russian disinformation.” There has never been even a hint that this was Russian disinformation. That was a lie.

The attached article in the New York Times provides some of these facts but is more focused on protecting the Biden campaign than in investigating a truly explosive story.

I more accurate title would have been “What we know and what we don’t want to know about Hunter Biden’s laptop.”

Now the DOJ has cut a sweetheart deal with Hunter Biden allowing him to plead guilty to a misdemeanor for not paying taxes in 2017 and 2018 and for purchasing a firearm, illegally, while he was using drugs. If they thought this would seal the deal, they were insanely stupid.

This is beyond obvious. While the usual suspects will always believe the worst about Donald Trump while ignoring the obvious about Democrats and particularly Joe Biden, they can’t fool everyone. Anyone paying attention, even slightly, can see that what is obviously true is obviously true.

Another serious problem for a lot of people like Adam Schiff and Hillary Clinton, is that there is all this video of them saying things they knew were simply untrue. There are a ton of videos of Democrats lying about Donald Trump. One would think that wise people would simply shut up when confronted with direct evidence like this, but we are not talking about wise people. We are talking about people too blinded by their own narcissistic view of the world and their uncontrollable hatred of Donald Trump to see any version of reality.

That is why today, we have Joe Biden, talking about how proud he is of Hunter Biden after he just plead guilty to serious crimes. Crimes that would have put the rest of us at serious risk of significant jail time. The sunset is a time when things are going to change rapidly. It is a sign that things are about to go very dark, but every sunset brings a morning after. Things are going to look very different after this son set.

Sometimes, it is easy to predict some things. For example, it is always easy to predict that the weather will be warmer in June rather than in February, unless you live in San Francisco or the Southern Hemisphere. But other times we are confronted with “so-called” experts who are predicting outcomes with solemnity and extreme confidence. The problem is that there are often other “so-called” experts predicting the exact opposite.  We saw this played out on center stage with COVID 19. The experts, worshiped by the liberal left and the MSM were wrong. They were wrong about almost everything. The “so-called” experts who disagreed were either ignored or silenced, but that did not make them wrong. Many of their predictions were startlingly accurate.

This sad reality must be taken into consideration when evaluating the recent indictment of Donald Trump by a Grand Jury at the request of Jack Smith. If you watch the MSM or listen to the “experts” then Trump is in serious legal jeopardy and could spend the rest of his life in prison. But other experts, ignored or silenced, are warning that the walls may not exactly be closing in on Donald Trump this time either. So, I read the indictment, the legal arguments and legal precedent. Court precedent is most important, because it is rare for a court to rule against precedent. It does happen but it is rare.

It is important to remember that the Special Prosecutor has an earned reputation for abuse of prosecutorial power. Specifically, regarding instructions given to a grand jury and later a jury. He managed to convict Bob McDonnell, former governor of Virginia, of bribery. That verdict was overturned by the Supreme Court in a unanimous decision because of prosecutorial misconduct. Jack Smith told both the grand jury and the trial jury that the actions taken by Bob McDonnell constituted an official act. The Supreme Court determined that his over-broad definition of an official act would make almost any act by a sitting Governor to be an official act. Choosing Jack Smith to be the Special Prosecutor may be the ultimate unforced error.

In this case, the Presidential Records Act is in play. Here is a copy of that act:

• Requires that the President and his staff take all practical steps to file personal records separately from Presidential records.
• Allows the incumbent President to dispose of records that no longer have administrative, historical, informational, or evidentiary value, once the views of the Archivist of the United States on the proposed disposal have been obtained in writing.
• Establishes in law that any incumbent Presidential records (whether textual or electronic) held on courtesy storage by the Archivist remain in the exclusive legal custody of the President and that any request or order for access to such records must be made to the President, not NARA.

Bill Clinton was caught hiding personal recordings. The court ruled, without regard to whether this was fair, that the President had the sole authority to manage this process. This was called the Clinton Socks cases. You can look it up yourself. Several of the so-called experts are claiming this previous case is irrelevant. But these same experts think that anything done by Donald Trump is different, whether regarding classified documents or anything else. In their minds, Trump is always guilty and people like Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden are innocent as doves. That, like many of their opinions, doesn’t make much sense.

I would not be surprised to see the case against Donald Trump dismissed by a court for several reasons. In addition to the Presidential Records Act, there is a serious question as to whether the search warrant(s) were even legal. Why was the FBI authorized to monitor a private conversation between Donald Trump and a donor? Remember, Democrats impeached Donald Trump for daring to suggest President Zelensky to investigate possible fraud in Ukraine. Trump was right, there was evidence of fraud. But Democrats chose to impeach Trump, for daring to ask the question, while ignoring the evidence implicating Joe Biden. If a court were to find that the FBI raid on Mar-a-logo was not justified, or that the wiretapping of Donald Trump was improper, all the evidence resulting from that raid and those voice recordings would be inadmissible.

If you listen to the MSM, you might assume that Trump is guilty of treason. They want him to be convicted and sentenced to die in prison. Their hatred of him literally leaps off the screen. But hatred does not trump reasoned thought. It is not a substitute for legal process.

The real goal of these indictments is to eliminate Donald Trump as a candidate for President. In the minds of the Democratic party, Kool Aid drinking liberals and the MSM this is inevitable. But ironically the backlash may do the exact opposite. It may make him impossible to defeat. Sometimes the greatest gift of all is having an incompetent opponent.

Somethings are certain. Joe Biden is going to come under far more serious legal scrutiny than anything dreamed up against Donald Trump. The truth is coming out and more people are starting to understand. That sound you hear next may be the thundering heard, the loud voice of people who are tired of being ignored.

The obvious intent of the indictment against Donald Trump was to end any chance of him being elected President in 2024. However, in their desperation to destroy Trump, those participating in this nightmare may have destroyed themselves in the process. It is important to note the difference between the John Durham investigation and the investigation by Special Prosecutor Jack Smith.

John Durham was chosen because he has a long record of being non-partisan. Regardless of what you may think of William Barr, he was careful to protect the integrity of that investigation. The result is that few challenge the findings in his report. CNN ignored them, but they don’t challenge them. There were very few leaks from the Durham investigation.

I am not a lawyer, but I have experience as a litigation manager. There is an old saying among attorneys. “If you have the facts, pound the facts, if you don’t have the facts, pound the opposition, if you can’t pound the facts or the opposition, just pound.” The most dangerous attorneys are not the ones who make a lot of noise. It is rather those who do their homework, make sure of their facts and stay focused.

The investigation into Donald Trump has been rampant with leaks. Leaks that sure appear to have come from the Special Counsel. Most recently, there are all those pictures of what are supposedly top-secret documents stored in places like a bathroom. We do not know who took those pictures. We do not know what was in those boxes. All we know that the pictures of these boxes were leaked, by the Special Counsel, in a clear effort to try Trump in the press before attempting to try him in a court of law.

There has been some absurd reporting and naïve reporting. For example, the MSM keeps talking about classified documents, but the actual indictment describes “documents with classified markings.” It may surprise some to learn that can possess top-secret document, with classified markings, without breaking any laws. I had such a document. It was marked top secret. It was the ship log from a submarine patrol where the submarine commander was awarded the medal of honor. But the mission involved happened in 1945, and it had been declassified long before it was given to me. It still would have fallen into the definition of a document with classified markings. But it was no longer a classified document. Big difference. I wonder if CNN will ever figure that out.

While there is outrage that Donald Trump had some of these documents, there is zero evidence this compromised national security. The smoking gun is where he allegedly discussed having a document with classified information while trying to impress someone. He talked about plans for an invasion of Iran that never happened and is not going to happen. While one can argue that Trump should not have discussed this document with anyone who didn’t have a security clearance, this was hardly a threat to national security.

The real risk for the DOJ and the FBI is if they cannot make this case. This is unprecedented and clearly partisan. One suspects, based on reports, that Barack Obama may have also failed to properly turn over classified documents in his possession. One knows that Joe Biden had classified documents, in his possession, stored inappropriately, and, as Vice President, he never had the power to declassify anything. Even Mike Pence was caught with possession of classified documents, but the DOJ and the FBI chose not to charge him. The standard is clear, the primary reason for indicting Donald Trump is that he is Donald Trump. It is laughable to describe this as equal justice under the law. The sole purpose of this indictment is to stop Donald Trump from becoming President again.

The sad reality is that even if Trump is convicted, few of his supporters will trust the results. By bringing this indictment the DOJ and the FBI have only exposed themselves as being hopelessly partisan. Choosing someone like Jack Smith, who is obviously highly partisan as special prosecutor was an enormous mistake. Jack Smith indicted Republican Governor of Virginia, Bob McDonnell, only to have the U.S. Supreme Court vote “unanimously” to vacate that conviction, citing the use of an overbroad definition of an “official act.” Sound familiar? Jack Smith also investigation Republican Senator John Ensign, Republican House Majority Leader Tom Delay, and Republican Congressional Representative Don Young. He also investigated Democrats John Edwards and Democratic Congressional Representative Allan Mollohan. No convictions.

Even if Jack Smith was totally non-partisan, his record of failing to gain convictions in such high-profile cases should have strongly suggested choosing someone else. This has the appearance of him being chosen precisely because he likes to pursue high profile cases other prosecutors would probably decline.

At best, this indictment will get Donald Trump out of the race, which is the primary goal. But at what cost.  We must have faith in the DOJ and the FBI to do the right thing for the right reason. That trust has been shattered and regardless of whether Donald Trump has been convicted or not, this is a lose-lose scenario. If a Republican wins, the mission will be to either dismantle these organizations or engage in major house cleaning. Even Democrats will support that, because they will fear Republicans will use the DOJ and the FBI as political arms of the Republican Party, just like the Democrats have done.

If Trump is removed from the race, and Joe Biden wins re-election with Kamala Harris as VP, few people will have any remaining confidence in the office of President of the United States.  But if Donald Trump is elected, a lot of people will also have little confidence is the office of President of the United States.

This will truly be the endless summer, extremely hot, and unlikely to benefit anyone. Nice!
