The FBI announced the formation of the Justice Department Tast Force. This is pure coincidence, of course just before the 2024 election. There have been cases of threats against election officials. It is obviously unacceptable to issue person threats against election officials. Several cases are listed, and as far as I can tell they were all threats against Democrats. They all took place after the election.
It would be really interesting to see if there were any threats against Republicans. And if there were, did the FBI investigate? We know for certain that there were definite threats of violence against Donald Trump. Yet the FBI and the Secret Service did less than nothing. The more we learn about the attempted assassination of Donald Trump the more obvious this is at best gross incompetence. The double standard is obvious.
This is why when I listened to Merrick Garland it was impossible for me to trust him. The Attorney General and the FBI have obviously been weaponized by the Biden administration. There is no other explanation for the nationwide search to find anyone associated with January 6th, to charge them with crimes and seek the maximum possible sentence. Yet nothing similar was even considered with regard to the protests by Antifa and BLM, which were far more violent. And as for the people protesting on behalf of Hamas, few have been arrested and most were released with a slap on the wrist. Does this even make sense?
Merrick Garland personally chose Jack Smith as Special Prosecutor regarding Donald Trump. Jack Smith, as far as I know, is the only prosecutor rebuked by an 8-0 decision by the U.S. Supreme Court for prosecutorial misconduct. There are few people on this planet with less credibility that Jack Smith, yet that is who Merrick Garland chose and perhaps that is exactly why Merrick Garland chose him.
I think this will backfire on the Democrats. The biggest problem is that we are being asked to place trust in those who have demonstrated a complete lack of trustworthiness. If the true goal were to increase election security, then wouldn’t it be logical to investigate serious and credible allegations of election fraud during the 2020 presidential election? Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, except in this case, absence of an investigation. The FBI appears to have done zero investigation regarding credible allegation of systemic voter fraud during the 2020 election.
Does anyone really think the biggest threat to democracy is threats of violence against election workers? While some election workers did receive threats after an election, I am unaware of any threats before an election. Unless, of course, the threats by Republicans to monitor elections and ballot drop boxes is somehow a threat of violence against election workers.
Today there was a shooting at a school at Apalachee High School in Winder, GA. Four people are dead and nine more injured. Yet the FBI had been warned about the shooter more than a year ago. It had received several tips about online threats made regarding a school shooting. Some of these threats included photos of guns.

“At that time, there was no probable cause for arrest or to take any additional law enforcement action on the local, state and federal level,”
Well, there’s probable cause now, he is about to be charged, as an adult, with murder. Remind me again why we should trust the FBI.
