 The problem for this story is that it is too believable.  Why would anyone be surprised that an uneducated, lazy, left-wing radical community organizer from Chicago falls somewhat short of Churchill in the leadership category.  This creates huge problems for Obama.  If he fires McChrystal, he just gives him more air time.  In addition, if McChrystal is this vocal while still in command, just imagine what he will say if he is relieved.  Obama will try to silence McChrystal, and he may succeed…for a while…but the truth is there for everyone to see.  McChrystal basically threw both Obama, Biden and the entire Obama administration under the bus.   Obama has to relieve McChrystal.  Even if we agree with him, this is a level of insubordination that no President can tolerate.

 Here’s the good news.  I know many of us are concerned over Obama’s plans for a complete liberal takeover of our country.  That is, frankly, what he has in mind, but it ain’t going to happen.  It’s real easy.  If you are this bad as a leader with regard to the war in Afghanistan and the BP oil spill, there is zero chance you are a competent leader anywhere else.   Odds are really high that in the end, Obama will accomplish nothing at all.  Instead, there will be such a strong backlash that this country may be spared liberal leadership for the next generation.  In every democracy where liberals have been given complete power they have screwed it up big time.  Ultimately, they get thrown out of office with very little ceremony.

 Obama is beyond tone deaf politically.  He even praised gay fathers during his traditional Father’s Day proclamation.  He nominated Kagan for the Supreme Court, assuming that her liberal baggage wouldn’t matter.  But, don’t be surprised if the Kagan nomination is going, going, gone.  The problem is that she literally compared the NRA to the KKK.  Imagine you’re a Democrat.  You are already in serious trouble with regard to this falls election.  Now you’re being asked to support a candidate for the U.S. Supreme Court that is virulently opposed by the NRA.  The Democrats are so afraid of the NRA they tried to carve them out of the new campaign finance legislation. 

 Obama and Biden have already announced this as the Summer of Recovery.  I really think they meant jobs, but that is absurd.  But, I think they did name it right.  This will be the Summer of Recovery.  It will be the Summer when the U.S. wakes up and throws the bums out.  We are going to see a full scale political revolt this fall, less than five months away.   That right folks.  In less than five months and Obama becomes a lame duck President with a Republican House, a Republican Senate and a congress with a Tea Party attitude.

 Update:   McChrystal has been ordered home.  Watch the fun begin.  Some Republican is going to call him before congress and ask him some pointed questions.  Even Democrats are likely to join in the session.  Democrats will try to paint McChrystal as a rouge commander, trying to blame Obama for his own failures.  Republicans will ask him if he had the support he needed to win the war.  This could be high drama.  The war is not popular with the liberal left, and Republicans are not happen with the way Obama is handling it.  McChrystal is likely to catch it from both sides.  This could be an early start to the Fireworks season.

Lately the speeches by Obama remind me of the vuvuzela horns  at the World Cup Soccer matches.   Like the horns, his speeches are really annoying, difficult to ignore and impossible to understand.  It wasn’t that this last speech was so bad; the problem is that it is no longer possible, even for die-hard liberals, to pretend that Obama is competent.   Obama already has strong disapproval from 42% of Americans.  Up until now that was primarily Republicans and Independents.  But this speech was so bad that the entire media turned on him over night.  We are now going to see a full-fledged media feeding frenzy.  Bush, on his worst day, never got hammered this badly by MSNBC:

The cork is off the bottle.  Up until now the main stream media has tried very hard to avoid criticizing Obama.  All it took was one network to flip.   Don’t be surprised if the rest of the networks quickly jump on the band wagon.  How ironic that it would be that MSNBC, the network that did the most to put Obama in office, is now leading the charge to destroy him.  Poetic justice.

The deal he allegedly cut with BP is going to result in outrage when people understand what it means.  I guarantee you that BP is not going to put any money into this escrow account without a provision that somehow caps their liability.  If they did do that, they are beyond stupid.  In addition, this is going to be funded over time:

Actually, this is a good deal and is the right way to handle this, but the problem is that Obama has been preaching execution by the harshest possible method and he just gave BP house arrest followed by probation.   If he had done this 45 days ago, it might have worked.  Now, it is too little, too late and no one is impressed.   In the meantime, the oil  leak goes on and on and on.   At this point the only thing certain is that Obama has no clue about how to handle this.   He has destroyed what little credibility he had left. 

I think we are going to see immediate and wholesale abandonment of Obama by Democratic politicians.  Notice how Congressman Bob Etheridge, from South Carolina, lost his cool and assaulted a student because he dared ask him if he supported Obama’s policies.  That is not exactly a strong endorsement.    Even his strongest supporters have resorted to once again blaming everything on Bush.  They don’t even try to argue that Obama is doing a good job.   But, no one is listening to that any more.  The bash Bush days are gone forever:

Watch for the White House go into full panic mode.   The last U.S. President to have this kind of opposition from his own party was LBJ.  Don’t be surprised to see Obama end up like Herbert Hoover.  Holed up in the White House, afraid to move, and literally booed out of office.    It’s really easy:  if you’re a left-wing radical, liberal President and you’ve lost Keith Olbermann, what’s left?

Our real fear should be that in an act of desperation he will pull a “wag the dog” type of stunt to try and salvage his Presidency.   In the meantime, they recently came up with a filter for the vuvuzela horns.  How about an Obama filter?

There is a new book out that will be released on June 14, 2010.  The title is “THE MANCHURIAN PRESIDENT.”  This book is coming out at a time when people are already upset with Obama and equally upset with the main stream media.  There have been other books about Obama that have been largely ignored.  However, this book at least appears to be very well documented.  If it only generates questions, the results could be very damaging to Obama.  At some point, even the main stream media has to at least address this:

The real problem with this book is that it is all too believable.  While one can discount any one aspect of Obama’s background, it is hard to disregard the overwhelming evidence that Obama’s view of America differs substantially from the rest of us.

I strongly believe that the vast majority of Americans, Democrats and Republicans, Liberals and Conservatives equally love their country.  They just often have a significant difference of opinion with regard to how to make it better.  For example: after 9-11 the entire U.S. Congress gathered together to sign God bless America.  Regardless of what has happened since that time, I am convinced that they were united in love of this country at that moment. 

This is why this book is so damaging to Obama.  I believe that most Democrats and even most liberals are totally unaware of the extremist ties to Obama.  They don’t believe it because to them, this would be unthinkable.  But, that does not make it untrue.   I know this from firsthand experience.  Even conservative friends are often shocked  when they learn the truth about Obama’s background.   This book is coming out at a time when Obama is already on the ropes because of his obvious incompetence in handling the BP oil spill.

Today he literally resorted to stamping his feet and demanding that BP come up with a better plan to stop the oil leak.   I would not be surprised to see BP just declare Chapter 11 bankruptcy and just hand the problem over to Obama.  “Here, genius, you fix it!”   Obama is focusing full time on the BP oil spill, when he is not playing golf.  He may ignore this book to his peril.  I wouldn’t bet a nickel on the main stream media paying any attention to this book, but the title alone is so shocking it may be impossible to ignore.

The Rod Blagojevich trial is under way.  This is going to be a real circus.  The first witness, Alonzo Monk,  on the first day was bad for Blagojevich.  But, this witness may be even worse for Obama:

The problem with this testimony is that it clearly reveals who Tony Rezko is and how he operated.   That is devastating for Obama, because he had a close personal relationship with Rezko.  Rezko even lived next door and cut a sweetheart deal so Obama could get his pretty new house.  Recall that he is now serving time for corruption.  Nice neighbor!

It seems pretty obvious that Blagojevich is guilty as sin.  There are, after all, all those tape recordings.  But, Blagojevich’s attorney is arguing that this is just typical Illinois politics and since they can’t prove that he got any actual money, it was not illegal.  In other words:  “this kind of quid pro quo is ok, as long as there no actual dough received as part of the quo.”  There is the problem for Obama.  In effect the Blagojevich defense is that he didn’t do anything different that what was done by and for Obama.  He has a point! 

So far the main stream media has taken the position that none of the allegations about Obama matter because this is just politics.  But, the testimony by Blagojevich’s aide shows that with Rezko involved, it is hard to imagine Illinois politics without corruption.  In order to believe that Obama is not personally corrupt, you have to believe that Rezko treated him differently than he did anyone else.   

At some point the odor of corruption emanating from Obama has to be somewhat noticeable even by the olfactory challenged main stream media.

I have heard this quote used many times, frequently by politicians who find themselves in trouble.  They respond by saying that:  “to people who know me, no explanation is necessary, and to those who hate me, no explanation could possibly be acceptable.”

Obama began handling this with his normal method of just doing nothing and blaming everything on Bush, Republicans, big oil, or just business in general.  But this time finger pointing isn’t going to work.  Even his supporters are not satisfied with this approach.  Ok, we get it that BP is responsible for the problem, now we want to know what you are going to do to fix it.  Unfortunately for Obama, he has never had to manage anything in his life, so he doesn’t have a clue with regard to how to handle this.

In all fairness, I doubt that any President would be able to fix this problem.  But, the liberal left really believed that Obama was the answer and they are bitterly disappointed to find out he not only doesn’t have the answer, he is having trouble figuring out the question.

Every day Obama tries another way to explain why he is doing a good job in handling the BP oil leak.  But, that in itself is indicative of the problem.  If Obama really was doing a good job, he would not need to explain.  His leadership would be obvious to everyone.  My past experience is that anyone who has to explain why he or she is in charge isn’t really in charge at all.  Real leaders don’t talk about taking charge, they take charge.    

All Obama is doing now is focusing more and more focus on his failure.  Today he literally tried to show he was in charge by saying “kick ass” as if this would somehow really impress people with his anger.  It was pathetic.  In the meantime, BP is out there trying to seal the leak.  We may not like them, but two things are really clear.  BP will continue working on finding a way to fix this problem and Obama will continue to focus on fixing the blame.

There is one thing that is quite obvious.  I looked at the pictures of the oil leak when they first became available.  Maybe it’s just me, but it looks to me like there is more oil leaking now than before.  Perhaps that is just an optical illusion, but that’s the way it looks.   This is unfortunately consistent with some of the export reports.  They said that cutting the pipe would increase oil flow by 20%.   Dr. Steven Werely, PHD from Purdue, analyzed the video using a technique called “particle image velocimetry” and estimated the oil flow, before cutting the pipe, to be 95,000 barrels of oil per day or approximately 5,225,000 gallons per day.  Everyone hoped he was wrong.

BP is now sucking up 500,000 gallons of oil every day.  They estimate they are getting about 1/3 of the oil.  However, if Werely is right, they are getting less than 10% of the oil.  In any event, this is far from over.

Boone Pickens was on CNN and he said the earliest they are going to get this fixed is late August and that will be only if they are lucky.  The last previous time this happened, in 200 ft of water, it took them three relief wells before they finally got one that worked.  If that happens this time, we could still be talking about this leak in December.

He also said something very important.  He said that only a fool would think that BP wasn’t doing everything possible to stop that leak.  He said the government blame game only makes the problem worse, because the BP executives now have to worry about endless lawsuits and claims, when they should be concentrating on fixing the problem.

Several things are now certain.  First, we are going to be getting more and more angry speeches from Obama trying to show he is in charge.  Second, the oil leak will not only continue, it will get worse.  Third, while Obama is concentrating full time on fixing the blame for the oil leak, he is ignoring serious problems elsewhere.  Ultimately, we will all pay a price for that.

But, I can see November from my house.

The ultimate irony is that the same President who is seriously considering a military award for courageous restraint, shows no limitations with regard to his own conduct.  He has authorized wide spread use of drone attacks, far in excess of what Bush approved.  Ultimately this is going to result in some really embarrassing and deadly accidents.  There are already UN reports condemning this.  Normally one should ignore UN reports, but in this case, they seem to have a point:

 There is a difference between using a drone in Iraq, Afghanistan and the disputed border region of Pakistan.  However, it appears that Obama does not understand that.  Suppose there was someone in the United States that Russia considered to be a terrorist.  Suppose that Russia launched a drone that destroyed this guy’s home also killing his wife and children along with some other people in the neighborhood.  How would we respond?   That is exactly the same way that people in other countries are responding.  This is why prior administrations have been extremely reluctant to cross this line.  There is no doubt that some of these targets are nasty people.  But we can’t expect people to respect our territorial integrity if we ignore theirs.

 This has even more potential for disaster.  While every President has probably done this, it has been rare and very discrete.  If this report is accurate, we are going to see one of these units captured, which will result in extreme embarrassment for the United States.  Again, suppose that France had a terrorist that they had wanted for some time.  They sent over a Special Forces element into the United States to capture this person.  These people get into a shoot out with the local police, resulting in casualties on both sides and some of the French operatives being captured.  The outrage would be thundering.

 While it is encouraging to see that Obama is doing “something” about stopping terrorism, he apparently has very little regard for the rule of law.  At the same time he is asking our troops to show courageous restraint by risking death in order to avoid killing civilians, he apparently is more than willing to show no restraints at all with regard to his own decisions.  Obama not only considers himself above the law in the United States (Think Sestak, Romanoff, Blagojevich, etc) he apparently is equally willing to ignore international law.

The real problem with the Sestak case is that it is reflective of how the Obama administration handles everything.  President Obama could probably have brushed off the Sestak affair, except that he chose to cover it up first.  But this time the cover-up is just too obvious.  This is particularly galling from someone who brags about transparency in government.  Actually, he is very transparent, we see right through him.  This is hardly an isolated case.  We know have an e-mail showing exactly what jobs were offered to Romanof to drop out of the Colorado Senate race.  Does anyone see a pattern here?

He is on trial for trying to sell the Illinois Senate seat surrendered by Obama when he was elected President.  Here is the irony of the case.  Blagojevich is arguing that the people who allegedly discussed a bribe with him regarding this seat are telling a different story than told by Obama.  Blagojevich wants to call Obama as a rebuttal witness, to prove that these guys are lying.  That, of course, would be a huge perjury trap for Obama, which is why the Chicago political machine is working overtime to get Blagojevich safely convicted before even more damage is done.

Anyone of these cases:  Sestak, Romanof and Burris would be damaging, but the combination of all three cases is lethal.  In each case, the Obama administration followed an identical pattern of denial, and stonewalling, followed by a limp wristed pathetic cover story that wouldn’t fool the average eight grade student.   Then, of course, they just refuse to answer any more questions, pretending the issue has been resolved.

For a long time this strategy worked.  It worked on his birth certificate.  It worked on his lack of academic records at Occidental, Columbia and Harvard.  It worked on his missing Illinois Senate records.  It worked regarding his relationship with Louis Farrakhan, Reverend Wright, William Ayers and a cast of thousands.  It even worked on his bizarre land deal with Rezko.  It worked because although this was all very obvious to anyone paying attention, Democrats did not care because he brought them to power.  They were willing to ignore the problems in exchange for participating in the power.  Obama probably thought this would work forever.  He was wrong.  There are signs that this is going to all come cascading down on him.  This may be the ultimate cost of the mishandling of the BP oil spill.  The problem is that Obama’s lies about the BP oil spill are so blatant and the horrendous reality of the situation is impossible to ignore.     

On a daily basis we see more Democrats backing away from Obama.  He is becoming more and more isolated.  Democrats are well aware that Obama is a failed President.  In addition, they fear that the worst is yet to come.  At the same time our debt is escalating, our economy is collapsing, the Gulf of Mexico is being turned into a gigantic oil slick, Obama faces even more serious problems as a result of his naïve and irresponsible foreign policy.  Afghanistan is deteriorating on a daily basis.  The war that Obama said he had to win has probably already been lost.  Iran now has enough fuel for nuclear weapons and in an act of desperation Special Forces units are being sent in illegally to try and identify potential targets.

Now there is the flotilla fiasco.  Islam Terrorists are trying sneak weapons into Gaza under the pretence of peace missions and the Obama administration is responding in the worst way possible.  I wonder if the msm even noticed that Obama’s BFF William Ayers and Bernardine Dorn are heavily involved in this flotilla?  We are paying a terrible price for Obama’s total failure to understand the reality of Middle East politics.  It appears that the Obama foreign policy for the Middle East is to throw Israel under the bus on a daily basis, then complain that Israel is making it difficult for the bus to operate.  For years Israel has been relatively safe because everyone knew the U.S. ultimately had Israel’s back.  Right now, Obama doesn’t even have his own back.  The Arab world has been dreaming of destroying Israel for decades.  Now, they apparently believe that opportunity is in their grasp, but they must move fast before Obama is replaced by someone with a spine.

Nice work when you think of it.  Never in the history of the U.S. has one President made so many mistakes in such a short period of time and learned so little.  It is hard to be an optimist when our President thinks suing BP is somehow going to stop oil from leaking 5,000 feet below the surface and he thinks good intentions will somehow protect our shoreline.

President Obama accepted full responsibility for the BP oil spill, by pointing his finger at everyone else and threatening to hold them accountable.  What is pathetic is that so many members of the main stream media bought it.  I almost puke when people say:  “At least we finally have a President that accepts responsibility.”  Really!  Threatening to hold other people accountable is not exactly my definition of accepting responsibility.  When, exactly, has Obama ever admitted error?  If this wasn’t so awful, it would be hysterical. 

This reminds me of General Braxton Bragg.  The General was notorious for a very bad temper.  He had a reputation of not getting along with anyone.  Since he was in charge of a small frontier base, he acted as both Quartermaster and Commanding Officer.  As Commanding Officer, he demanded that the Quartermaster prove him with essential supplies.  As Quartermaster, he denied the request as being excessive.  Then, as Commanding Officer, he filed a complaint against the Quartermaster.  Finally, in desperation, his Commanding General wrote him that he had managed to get into some kind of quarrel with everyone in the U.S. Army, and now was even  quarreling with himself.

This is remarkably similar to the Obama administration’s game plan for handling the BP oil spill.  There is no one in the administration with any leadership ability and certainly no one with actual experience.  They are not out of ideas, they never had any ideas.  So, they must rely on BP to do everything, and they have no clue as to how to deal with this problem.   So, they will demand action by BP and then complain that whatever action is taken is inadequate.  At the same time, they will ask the FBI to conduct a full scale criminal investigation of BP.  In the meantime, the leak goes on.  Sadly, some people in the main stream media really think this is leadership.

The main stream media is starting to pick up on the obvious fact that the Obama administration is a bunch of incompetent jerks.  Last night I watched Anderson Cooper report on the Gulf Coast damage being caused by the oil spill.  Most, but not all, of his anger was vented toward BP.  Even Anderson Cooper took a couple of weak shots at Obama. 

 But, during the program someone came up and accused BP of staging the illusion of a massive cleanup effort to coincide during President Obama’s visit.

 Anderson Cooper was outraged that BP would pull such a stunt.  The problem is that it doesn’t appear that BP had anything to do with it.  It turns out all those workers were brought to the site in school buses.  Hmmm. I wonder how BP got control of school buses.  The alarm bells began to ring.  I thought about it and it became quickly obvious that BP would be very unlikely to pull this kind of stunt.  First, they are too busy trying to stop the leak.  Second, does Anderson Cooper really think BP could try to fool the President of the United States by providing a mock clean-up crew?   Please!  If he believes that, he believes the Obama administration to be a bunch of buffoons.  (On second thought – he may have a point)  The President was there specifically to show the world that he was in charge.  He even delayed his 50^th vacation this year for nearly three hours to show how much he cared.  If Obama could be fooled by such an obvious publicity stunt that he is even more incompetent than we think.  I would bet that the mock clean-up crew was not there to fool the President; it was there to fool CNN.  And with reporters the caliber of Anderson Cooper, it worked brilliantly.  Anderson Cooper apparently failed to realize that it was Obama who was trying to pretend he was doing something and it was Obama who would benefit by giving the appearance of a massive clean-up effort.  If the school buses weren’t a clue, the hazmat suits were a dead give away.  Sadly, this is pretty typical stuff for a President who routinely uses staged town hall meetings to trick people into thinking he has public support.

 I used to think the msm media was primarily impacted by the bias.  Now I realize that a lot of this is just plain stupidity.

The Obama administration posted the Sestak/Clinton confessional document on the Friday before Memorial Day.  President Obama was conveniently in Lousiana taking a first hand look at the damage from the BP oil spill.  The goal of the Obama administration is clearly to consider the story closed.  I am sure that you are going to hear Robert Gibbs pretend the confessional is the end all and try desperately to change the subject.  Who knows, with the biased and incredibly stupid msm they might even get away with this.

But if I were in the Obama administration I wouldn’t start popping champagne corks just yet.  This clearly doctored up story is so transparent that even the liberal media is likely to notice at least some odor.  Bill Clinton is furious at the Obama administration for the way they treated Hillary during the election.  Does anyone really believe that Bill graciously offered to intervene for the good of the team?  Please!  Even if this story is true, it looks terrible and this pathetic, unbelievable milktoast version may still constitute a felony.

Here’s the story.   Clinton and Obama have lunch on Thursday.  The White House then talks to Sestak’s brother, who is also his attorney.  Then after three months of stonewalling and denials, suddenly the White House moves with lightening speed to “set the record straight.”  Only a true Kool-Aid drinker would buy this load of crap.  This is like the guy who gets stopped for drunk driving.  The cop asks him if he’s been drinking.  If the guy says: “yes, I had a couple of beers,” you just know he probably downed a twelve pack minimum.  It’s the same here.  If they admitted to this, the truth is almost certain to be much more serious.

It is vital to remember that the White House was playing let’s make a deal with Specter at the time.  The entire Obama legislative agenda was hanging by a thread, or should I say the Specter of a thread.  Remember the Lousiana Purchase and the Cornhusker kickback.  No expense was being spared to get the Annointed One his moment of glory.  If Specter was not on board, they got bubkis.   Specter only agreed to switch parties and turn Democrat because he feared losing in a Republican primary.  The Obama administration had to provide Specter with some assurance that he would coast through the Democratic  primary without a major challenge.  That is why Specter is now so royally pissed.  Bill Clinton making this limp wristed offer wouldn’t come close to making the cut.  Odds are that the offer was a lot more substantial and it wasn’t delivered second hand.

In addition, there is a nearly identical accusation regarding the Colorado Senate race.

Remarkably similar story.  Kind of consistent with Rod Blagojevich’s comment:  “A Senate seat is a f…..in valuable thing, you don’t give it away for nothing. “ 

Right now, somewhere in a major news room there is a bright young journalist or newsman who dreams of being the next Bob Woodard.  Looks like he or she just got their chance.  This story is just too juicy and just to obvious to ignore.
