Now we are being inundated with indisputable evidence that the Hunter Biden was absolutely involved in corrupt activities in The Ukraine and there is a video of Joe Biden admitting he threated $1 billion in aid to The Ukraine if they did not immediately fire the prosecutor who dared to investigate his son.

The Hunter Biden laptop revealed a tale of corruption at a scale few people can even imagine. Incredibly, the DOJ and the FBI conspired to cover this up during the 2020 election. Well, the chickens are coming home to roost with numbers that are impossible to ignore. CBS is even asking questions. This House of Representatives is investigating those who helped cover this up. Yesterday, at the White House press conference a New York Post reporter asked an obvious question:

John Kirby is visibly shaken and literally cannot even respond at first, he just sighs, then stutters and leaves the stage. When he did speak, I doubt he impressed anyone other than people like Anderson Cooper.

The truth is coming out and those who do not get in front of this story will be trampled by those scrambling to get a front row seat. Just think of the significance of this situation. A President of the United States was literally impeached for daring to point out the truth about potential corruption by Joe Biden. A truth so obvious that most Americans now realize Joe Biden is corrupt. We are going to see a lot of people try and distance themselves from Joe Biden as fast as far as they can possibly go. It won’t work and revenge, like kettle corn, is best served cold.

117. The House voted yesterday to approve the budget deal negotiated by Kevin McCarthy. The vote was 314 to 117. While some conservative Republicans are angry, the reality is that Kevin McCarthy got 165 Democrats to vote for this. Nancy Pelosi seldom got any Republican votes on anything. He is far more powerful than Nancy Pelosi in her fondest dreams. He is taking on Joe Biden and his corruption. Do not underestimate this.

The soap opera, “As The World Turns” was being broadcast when the Kennedy Assassination happened in Dallas, Texas. Since these shows were produced live at the time, the actors just kept on performing and did not learn about the assassination until after the show had ended. But people watching the show on CBS were interrupted first by New Bulletins and later, after the cameras had warmed up, a picture of Walter Cronkite delivering updates on the incredible developments.

Years earlier, long before television, another type of real-life soap opera was taking place in Skagway Alaska. Soap Smith, a notorious con artist, had become the head of a criminal underworld operating out of Skagway. They perfected the art of fleecing gullible wantabe gold miners. For a long time, Soap Smith appeared to be the only power in Skagway. But there was a group of honest citizens who wanted to stop this and bring law and order to the town. They formed the “Committee of 101”. Smith promptly formed his own “Committee of 303” designed to stop them. On July 18, 1898, there was a vigilante meeting on the wharf, opposed to Soap Smith. He tried to crash the meeting but was confronted by Frank Reid, who shot him dead. Unfortunately, Reid was also fatally wounded during the encounter.

If you get a chance to visit the Gold Rush Cemetery in Skagway, Alaska, you can see both graves. Frank Reid has a rather large monument, while Jefferson Randolph “Soap” Smith has a rather ordinary gravestone marker.

This is a reminder that even when evil seems to be in total control, there are always some people who see the truth and who are not deterred from acting. Soap Smith ran Skagway for far too long and he hurt a lot of people, but eventually the good people in Skagway united and took him on. There is always a price to be paid when confronting evil, but ultimately truth always prevails.

Today it is increasingly obvious that this country is run by people who consider themselves above the law. If any of the recent reports about Hunter Biden and his financial entanglements with foreign countries made possible by Joe Biden are true, then this is corruption that honest people cannot possibly ignore and tolerate. So far, the Biden’s have benefited from a DOJ and FBI more interested in destroying Donald Trump and anyone who supports him than they are in focusing on truth, justice and the rule of law. They have benefited from a MSM that refused to even investigate allegations against a sitting U.S. President that literally border on treason. The entire Democratic Party has participated in the cover-up in their own lust for power.

There are people openly challenging this, for the first time in a very long time. Predictably, those who are active participants in this systemic corruption are fighting back with everything available. This is one of the reason Donald Trump is subjected to some new legal lawsuit on a nearly daily basis. They fear him because they fear he will destroy them. They are determined to destroy him first. They may even succeed in doing that, because Trump is often his own worst enemy, but ultimately, they cannot win. They cannot win for one very simple reason. No matter how loud and obnoxious the evil element becomes and no matter how powerful they appear to be, they never represent anything close to a majority of the people. The only way they can possibly stay in power is to form a brutal dictatorship. They may dream of doing that here, in the United States, but they are doomed to fail.

More and more people are starting to recognize the truth. While the leaders of the DOJ and the FBI are still resisting, whistleblowers within both agencies are coming forth. There are finally people in congress ready, willing and able to take this on. Even the MSM is starting to notice, with CBS particularly asking some very pointed questions. The end is near. Truth will prevail, sooner rather than later. There will, as always, be casualties on both sides, but the result will be the restoration of truth and justice and a hard lesson learned.

The Democratic Party is now facing the ultimate “No Good choices” (NGC) problem. NGC means “No Good Choices.” Just think about this. Consider, for a moment, that you are a life-long Democrat. You have hated Republicans for your entire life. Democrats have always been the good guys, fighting for the little guy, against the man.  But now you look around and the Democratic Party has left you with no good choices. I mean if Joe Biden is the best you have, you have less than nothing.

Many naïve people in the MSM thought that Gavin Newsom would be a great candidate for President in 2024. He is governor of the biggest state, in terms of population. They foolishly thought he was very popular in California and that would translate to a great national candidate. But Gavin Newsom is a clown who consistently makes bad decisions, he is a horrible public speaker, and he does things that are beyond stupid. For example, he visited Florida to try and show us how a great governor looks and sounds compared to DeSantis. The few people in Florida who even noticed just laughed him out of state.

He has managed to take a record surplus and turned it into a gigantic deficit. Since California requires at least the illusion of a balanced budget, he has a real problem. But recently, he did something so incredibly stupid that I had to double check to see if it wasn’t a Babylon Bee satire. Target stupidly started promoting wonderful stuff like transgender, tuck under, swimsuits. The results were instant and loud and even Target realized this was a Bud Light moment, panicked and backed off. Newsome trashed Target for giving in to those opposed to the woke movement. Seriously! Now there are reports Newsom is considering nominating Oprah to replace Diane Feinstein, assuming Diane wakes up coherent enough to resign. What planet is he living on, assuming that California has now drifted far left of this one.

But if not Newsom, who? Can you name one prominent Democrat, any state, any office, that would be a better choice than Biden?  Anyone? Anywhere? This is so bad that Joe Manchin, who is hated almost equally by Republicans and Democrats appears to be toying with the idea of running for President. Earth to Joe, being unable to get re-elected in West Virginia is not exactly an endorsement to run for President.

If Democrats don’t wake up and start reversing some of the insane decisions and policies by Biden, they could suffer the ultimate humiliating defeat in 2024. If they weren’t running against a Republican Party run by people famous for losing elections they should have won easily, this would be guaranteed.

Most Democrats don’t want Biden to even run for another term. The only hope Democrats have is for Donald Trump to be the Republican nominee and their strategy of endless legal assaults from places like New York and Washington, D.C. will make him unelectable. They are too stupid to realize that if they just ignored him, he would almost certainly talk himself out of the nomination. By attacking him relentlessly, they are just elevating him. They should know better. In 2016 the MSM desperately wanted Donald Trump to win the Republican nomination because they were certain that even Hillary Clinton would easily beat him. They totally underestimated Hillary Clinton’s life-long record of zero accomplishments other than the ability to get loud praises from the MSM.

Trump would be a far better choice that Biden, primarily because it would be hard to find anyone who would not be a far better choice than Biden. He would be fun to watch, because this would be another four years of high theater.

I can’t possibly predict this because one can never safely predict rational results from people with an established record for not thinking rationally. I do think that if Biden is nominated by the Democrats and Trump is nominated by the Republicans, that Democrats won’t be able to steal enough votes to get Biden re-elected. However, they are guaranteed to try.

But at some point, everyone is going to get sick and tired of NGC. Then, and only then, will things really change.

The FBI hearings and the Ray Durham report are far more explosive than anyone would realize if they only watch ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN or, gasp, MSNBC. All these MSM networks are pretending this is all just a nothing burger. This is remarkable from the same class of clowns who swallowed the Trump Russia Collision nonsense hook, like and sinker. But then these are the same people who have been predicting the walls closing in on Trump, for years, with breathless anticipation.

Trump is going to have a lot of legal challenges, almost always from places like New York and Washington, D.C. Both places exist in a Democratic bubble that does not allow the ability to even see the rest of the world. They foolishly believe that everything that matters happens within their bubble and are too busy patting themselves on the back after repeating utter nonsense to realize that no one outside of the bubble is impressed.

But the facts are becoming more obvious, and the facts are impossible to ignore. The entire Russian Collusion hoax was invented by Hillary Clinton and embraced by the leaders in the Intelligence Community, the DOJ, the FBI, and most of the MSM. They were all wrong. They were embarrassingly wrong. What more, this embarrassment is now on full display and no matter how much the MSM ignores this, the facts are out, they are indisputable, and they are indisputably bad.

Now throw in those FBI agents outing their highly partisan and frankly stupid leaders. The real message here is not that the leaders in the DOJ and the FBI are hopelessly partisan and corrupt, but also that they are also incredibly stupid and incompetent. The only defense for the indefensible is the stale argument that one must listen to those in authority, even if they are dishonest, corrupt, and hopelessly naïve. True change in any society does not come by bowing down to authority, it required the removal and placement of inept leadership with people who at least pretend to listen.

All these people have the same problem. There actually is truth and there are facts and evidence. Eventually, truth always outs, for the same reason. No strategy based on incorrect assumptions can succeed. Unfortunately, catastrophic failure is often required before seeing real change. It took the tragedy of a civil war to force the nation to finally deal with slavery. It took Pearl Harbor to convince the American people of the necessity to go to war with Germany and Japan.

One thing is certain, the people in power, responsible for this mess will be the last to realize they are at the center of the problem. It is always that way. Incompetent people are often only skilled at shielding themselves from the reality of their incompetence. They blame everything on something or someone else. It is one of the reasons they are incapable of change.

Now add in the public release of hard evidence that the DOJ and the FBI have weaponized our criminal justice system and it is a perfect storm. A storm that cannot be safely ignored. Just think about this. That former Marine being prosecuted by a District Attorney who routines refuses to prosecute criminals, has raised over $2 million for his defense fund. The man who was killed, a homeless man with a long history of aggression, has raised about $150,000, for his funeral. Ignore the significance of that to your peril.

This is why these issues add up to the ultimate double exposure. This not only exposes these people for their partisanship and corruption, but it also exposes their incompetence. If you are always obviously wrong, at some point almost everyone else with figure that out. No matter how effective the daily spin spewed by the Biden Administration, his fawning supporters in the MSM and the entire Democratic Party leadership, the problems with rising crime, the influx of illegal immigrants and crumbling economy have resulted in a stench that overpowers the wimpy perfume of political correctness.

Something is happening here. There are subtle signs that things are about to change. Everyone already knew the border crisis is about to explode. We all know about the debt ceiling crisis, runaway inflation, and tough economic times. Joe Biden’s approval ratings are in the tank. His mental decline is becoming even more obvious. Yet there is no prominent Democrat on the horizon to replace him. Joe Manchin is hinting at a run, but he is in deep trouble in his home state of West Virginia, and one questions whether the left wing of the Democratic Party would tolerate him.

But two things, possibly related, have the potential to cause this situation to become white hot. One is the Durham Report, which the MSM is trying and failing to ignore. The problem is that Durham documented his facts, and they are a scathing rebuke of the DOJ, the FBI, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and the senior members of our intelligence community.

Durham proved that not only did the FBI never have enough information to justify investigating Trump regarding the Russian Collision myth, but that this was set up by Hillary Clinton, that this was briefed to Joe Biden and Barack Obama, and the senior members of the intelligence community just saluted and joined in the purely partisan witch hunt.

That is a stunning rebuke that cannot and will not be safely overlooked. Now add in the IRS apparently closing in on Hunter Biden, having a Whistleblower expose the IRS for dragging its feet on this with the result that the Whistleblower and his entire team was fired by the DOJ. You can’t make something like this up.

It instantly reminded me of when Richard Nixon ordered Attorney General Elliot Richard to fire Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox. Richardson refused and immediately resigned. Then Nixon appointed Deputy Attorney General William Ruckelshaus only to him also refuse and resign. Then Nixon appointed Solicitor General Robert Bork, who did the deed. Nixon never recovered and impeachment proceedings began ten days later.

We sometimes become so focused on the names we know and naively assume that there are no honorable people left. There are numerous reports of Whistleblowers who started to emerge as soon as Republicans took over the House. We are highly likely to learn about other honorable men and women who have watched this nonsense, who were appalled, but who were not in a position to do anything about it. That has suddenly changed. We are all aware of how the “me too” movement that resulted in a surge of suppressed sexual harassment claims. Some of these claims were legitimate and immensely powerful men were taken down. Others were potential frauds by people who wanted to jump on the “me too” band wagon.

Some of the allegations regarding Biden, Obama and Hillary will probably be suspicious, but the Durham report already documented facts and evidence that are impossible to ignore. The indisputable facts are already bad enough. Fox News is all over this, partly because they are desperate to stop the bleeding after firing Tucker Carlson. But at least some smart and ambition reporters on other networks, will likely see the opportunity and seize the day. That is as inevitable as rain. The minute that starts will be the beginning of the end of the Biden Presidency along with a serious shakeup at the DOJ, FBI and our intelligence agencies who have all been outed as unreliable partisan hacks.

This reminds me of the saying, “just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean that people aren’t out to get you.” Yes, Donald Trump was ranting about how the deep state, the MSM pretended didn’t exist, was rigged against him. Turned out he nailed it. It may take a while for people like Anderson Cooper to figure this out, but other wiser and far more deadly people are already on it.

It is now just a matter of time; the clock is ticking, and it is about to get louder and louder until it simply cannot be safely ignored.

James Comer held a press conference today. He pointed out hard evidence that the Biden family accepted millions of dollars from corrupt foreign regimes, including Romania and China and that this was cycled through multiple business entities in what appears to be a deliberate effort to hide the source and the distribution of funds.

Unfortunately, this was handled like most congressional committees, which gave the MSM reason to cut away from the news conference and to ignore the findings. Every congressional committee does the same thing, in the same way, which is why the results are almost always the same. Nothing is done. The only exception is if the committee is criticizing Donald Trump, then the MSM takes over and rushes to judgement.

Once again, all the members of the committee got a few minutes of highly coveted air time to do their part of the presentation. Some of them were very good, some were mediocre, none of them was fully effective in making the case. I would have been so much more powerful if they had hired a highly qualified lawyer to make the presentation. That would have been crisp, focused and well documented. It would have made this very difficult to ignore, because the story they have to tell is compelling. But few things are compelling if no one is listening.

James Comer says this scandal is unprecedented in American history because it involves large sums of money received from corrupt foreign governments and that borders on treason. Unfortunately, he said that during the question-and-answer period, long after the MSM had stopped covering the event. That is an allegation that should not be ignored by anyone. Comer should be responsible to back up his allegations. The MSM should immediately assign their top investigative reporters to either confirm or invalidate this story. The one thing they should not even consider is ignoring this story and just refusing to investigate it or cover it. Unfortunately, that is the most likely outcome.

Fox is very likely to take this on for several reasons. One is that they desperately need something like this to distract from the decision to fire Tucker Carlson. The New York Post will be all over it, but, once again, will be ignored. CNN recently fired some big names and there may just be some very serious people who recognize that covering this story might just be exactly what they need to become a trusted news organization again. Don’t hold your breath on that one.

There is one other factor that may make this a big story. The doomsday clock for the Democrat party is approaching zero hour. There are numerous disasters lurking just over the horizon. Would you trust Joe Biden to handle any of this? Even life-long die-hard left-wing radical Democrats are probably not that dumb.

A few years ago, we watched some of the old “Tombstone Territory” shows. In one of the shows there was a desperate search for a wounded man. They found him by looking for vultures circling in the sky. The vultures knew when someone or something was in trouble, and they would circle around waiting for a delicious meal. Sheriff Clay Hollister called the vultures the “desert telegraph.”

Today, if you are paying attention, you can see the vultures start to circle over Joe Biden. It is no longer a question of whether Biden can survive, he can’t. The only question is when and how will he depart the scene. Unlike the desert vultures, this breed of carrion hunters  is unlikely to wait patiently for nature to take its’ course.

The real problem for Joe Biden, is Joe Biden. His approval ratings have dropped beyond any hope of recovery and few honest believe he is remotely capable of turning things around. Yet, incredibly, he is running for re-election and so far, he has almost zero opposition. Of course, in the case of Joe Biden, running does not necessary involve moving at a fast pace. If nothing changes the person most likely to be the next Democratic nominee for President is not only the person least qualified (with the possible exception of Kamala Harris) he is the person most likely to lose the general election in a landslide.

The only reason Democrats put up with Biden in the first place is that he was considered the only one capable of beating Donald Trump. If he can’t do that, there is absolutely nothing left. I sometimes wonder what those Democratic prosecutors think will happen if they get the longed-for opportunity to put Donald Trump in jail awaiting trial. That is particularly true when the DOJ and the FBI are obviously ignoring far more serious potential crimes involving Joe Biden. Being charged with raping someone in a women’s dressing room with no witness is one thing. Being accused of accepting bribes from China and or Russia in exchange for political favors is far more serious. It literally borders on treason. Those left-wind radical prosecutors may not be able to grasp this concept, but most Americans understand this all too well.

The allegations against Joe Biden may have been ignored and covered up but they are beyond serious and all too real. The cover-up is rapidly running out of steam and time. The American people are about to be confronted with this in the most public way possible. Trump has been remarkably resilient in the face of an unprecedented assault by blatantly partisan prosecutors. Joe Biden has just been hiding in his basement pretending that Hunter’s moon is only about predicting a good deer hunting season. Does anyone seriously think Joe Biden is remotely capable of handling the coming assault? He will just continue to believe he truly is living in never-never land, totally oblivious to reality. How, exactly, does anyone expect him to survive this? The vultures are already circling overhead, more and more of them are showing up by the minute and the wise money would bet on the vultures.

Most of us living here in Florida saw numerous reports about the planned launch of the gigantic SpaceX rocket. It was huge, close to 400 feet high, with over 33 rocket engines. It did launch, but then famously self-destructed after a couple of minutes. I mentioned this to a friend of mine who happens to be a rocket scientist. I asked him if this failure would seriously impact the SpaceX program. He smiled and said: “we learn more from our failures than our successes.”  Then I read the following twitter from Elon Musk following this event:

Perhaps this explains why Elon Musk has accomplished so much. He views failure, not as a reason to stop, but rather as a reason for optimism. He could just be right; they may have needed this failure to pave the way for the future.

Today, failure is all around us. The left-wing radicals currently in charge of the Democratic Party are still pretending this is actually success, but most people recognize the truth. This is failure on a public scale almost unimaginable. Yet, at a time when the vast majority of Americans do not want Joe Biden to run for re-election, and his polling is in the tank, he not only is running, but few Democrats are also bothering to oppose him. The MSM is still granting him soft-ball interviews that he still manages to botch. One would have to be hopelessly naïve to think that our enemies are even remotely intimidated by him. This is a sad joke that just will not go away.

None of his policies are working. Does anyone really think he has united the country on any subject. The Economy? Crime? Gender equality? Prosperity? National Defense? Climate Change? Can anyone think of a subject where one can argue things are getting better? The only argument, ever, in favor of Joe Biden is that he is not Donald Trump. It remains the only argument today.

Elon Musk referred to the SpaceX explosion as “a rapid unscheduled disassembly before stage separation.” But at least Musk did not pretend this is what was wanted or expected. He recognized the failure; he just chooses to focus on learning from it rather than pretending it didn’t happen.

So, when describing the current state of our country, I will borrow from Mr. Musk. It is a rapid, unscheduled disassembly of everything that matters. The question no longer is whether or not there is failure, but rather whether we are prepared to learn anything from this disaster to prepare us for a better future.

I also have one additional observation. Those who focused solely on destroying Donald Trump failed to realize that in destroying him, they are destroying themselves. If they do manage to destroy Donald Trump, they will stand for nothing at all. We may not know who to trust, but we certainly know who we cannot possibly trust. The first step in failure analysis is to recognize failure.

There was a time when most American’s had faith in our major media markets. Newspapers like the New York Times were considered the gold standard. Major networks like ABC, CBS, and NBC produced nightly news broadcasts to keep us informed on important issues. Sometimes we hear about the good old days when people like Walter Cronkite told us “The way it is.” The reality is that the media botched stories then too, particularly when reporting about the Vietnam War. But they were certainly more respected than they are now.

When something really big happened, like the Kennedy Assassination, we were all glued to our television sets watching history unfold before our very eyes. There are times, such as in the event of a national emergency, when people really need to have a source of information they can trust.

During the Eisenhower administration there was real concern about the potential for a nuclear attack on the United States. Recordings were prepared for broadcast by people with well-known and respected voices. People like Edward R. Murrow, Lowell Thomas, and Arthur Godfrey. Today, there are many polls showing that a majority of people no longer trust the mainstream media. That is a serious problem. Now we get our information from a wide variety of sources, some credible and some incredible. We have also lost faith in some of our most important institutions, such as federal elections. This is hardly the first-time people have questioned the results of an election, with cause. There are numerous reports that JFK was elected, with the help of his father, paying bribes in Chicago. Then there was the infamous election of 2000, when George W. Bush squeaked by Al Gore by the narrowest of margins in Florida. One shudders to think of the damage that probably would have been the result of a Gore administration.

But at least in these cases the main stream media acknowledged the obvious, that there were legitimate areas of concern. That all changed following the 2020 election, where the main stream media not only ignored multiple areas of concern, but they also accused former President Trump of telling the big lie when he pointed some of this out. At the same time the main stream media was shrieking at the top of their lungs that the 2020 election was as pure as the wind driven snow, a whole lot of people saw the problems with their own eyes. A Real Clear Politics article published in March of 2022 shows that 52% of Americans think there was substantial election fraud during the 2020 eleciton. Incredibly, 40% of the people who supported Joe Biden also believed that:

Yet, even today, the main stream media routines calls any questions about the 2020 election “the big lie.”  This blatant refusal to acknowledge obvious facts is probably a major reason why so many people no longer trust the main stream media at all.

In addition to this, it is hard to watch any weather report without someone chiming in ominously that this is irrefutable proof of climate change. They always mean global warming, but people freezing their buns off in the winter aren’t easily persuaded. That is why they use climate change; it means nothing so is very difficult to dispute.

The challenge increasingly is who can we trust. During the Eisenhower days, we had men with very distinct voices that people could trust. Where are those voices today? There were times when a President of the United States spoke directly to the American people, such as President Kennedy during the Cuban missile crisis. One shudders to think of a similar international incident today and expecting President Biden to assure anyone of anything. This is not a minor problem. It is not limited to Joe Biden. A lot of people wouldn’t trust Donald Trump either.  No one would trust Kamala Harris.

America desperately needs someone in a position of leadership to take responsibility. Ironically, Fox News firing Tucker Carlson may have elevated him to such a position, whether he is worthy or not. Ironically those who united to tear him down may have only succeeded in building him up. Sometimes the ultimate test of someone’s character can be determined by the quality of those who oppose them. While Tucker may not actually have earned this level of respect, his enemies have most definitely earned their full share of our scorn.

We all need to pay attention to this because this cannot continue. We need to restore trust in our government, our elected officials, our judicial systems and yes, our main stream media. Failure to communicate is no longer an acceptable option. If not Tucker, then who? If not now, when?

I have always loved San Francisco. It is one of the few places on this earth where no picture can do it justice.  The real thing needs no enhancement. However, thanks to decades of Democratic leadership, it is rapidly becoming the “Pity by the Bay.”

We had season tickets to the San Francisco Giants for over 25 years. But then in 2020, I decided to give up my tickets. There were three main reasons for this decision. One was that the Giants were playing horribly. A far change from the team that won three World Series. Another was that because of this poor performance, the Giants were scrambling to sell tickets.  I found my self sitting next to someone who had paid half the price I paid because of price slashing by the Giants. I was disgusted that a season ticket holder was expected to pay more than someone who bought a ticket 24 hours before the game. But the final straw was the rapid deterioration of the environment around the ballpark. For over 25 years we had a nice, pleasant walk to the stadium. But in more recent years, homeless people started camping out everywhere. It became impossible to walk to the stadium without being confronted several times by someone begging for money. At times it was actually scary to walk to and from the stadium.

The timing turned out to be brilliant, because it was in March of 2020 and about a week later, COVID 19 hit. The Giants played in front of empty seats. I often wonder how long I would have waited to get a refund if I had renewed my tickets.

Several years ago, San Francisco self-righteously decided it would boycott conservative states that did not embrace “San Francisco” values. At last count, that was up to 30 states. But there was a problem. It turned out that while none of these 30 states needed San Francisco, San Francisco needed them. Just recently, the Board of Supervisors quietly reversed this idiotic decision, because nothing was gained, except high costs and inconvenience.

Bud Light and more recently Fox News both embraced the woke movement with disastrous results. It turned out that Bud Light needed those disgusting redneck right wing conservatives more than they needed Bud Light. The stock price fell like a stone and there has been an immediate and probably permanent drop in Bud Light sales. Then Fox News fired Tucker Carlson without considering the significance of firing someone with a huge audience.

Something really big is happening and it will change our world. The experiment of punishing firms for failing to go woke has been a massive failure. For example, Chick-fil-A was boycotted by the liberal left because it was considered to be in opposition to the LGBTQ+ community. The result of the boycott was that Chick-fil-a had to put up with record sales. While the woke community assumes that everyone with half a brain shares their values, the reality is the exact opposite:

Bed Bath and Beyond arrogantly and self-righteously decided to stop selling “My Pillow” products. Perhaps it is a coincidence, but Bed Bath & Beyond recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Closing several stores was not enough to save the company.

The real message here, ignored too often by politicians in both parties, is that if the people who work for a living stop buying things, you stop selling things. No matter how much the “woke” community embraces your decision, there either aren’t enough of them to matter, or they just aren’t the people who buy things. Either way, Margaret Thatcher was right when she said the reason socialism always fails is that eventually they run out of other people’s money.

There are other things happening, ignored by the MSM. People aren’t exactly lining up to buy electric vehicles (EVs). They also aren’t moving north to escape global warming. It turns out that instead of fearing climate change destroying the world, we should fear those who are using the irrational fear of climate change to promote self-righteous, progressive, and frankly stupid programs guaranteed to fail.

While we all should reject racism and we should avoid discriminating against people just because they are different, we shouldn’t forget that sometimes the most important factor to consider is pure competence. This is easy to explain. Would you feel safer if you needed critical heart surgery if the doctor was less experienced and unqualified but was transgender. How about the person flying that airliner.

I used to do a lot of public speaking and I Often posed a simple question. “Suppose you were in a car, and you wanted to go from San Francisco to Los Angeles. About five hours later, you noticed a sign saving “Welcome to Oregon.” You asked the driver why you were entering Oregon, which is north of San Francisco, when we wanted to go to Los Angeles, which is South of San Francisco. The driver arrogantly says, ‘You don’t understand, I have been driving very carefully, within the speed limit. I have obeyed every traffic sign. My driving has been superb.’ But you reply, but I wanted and needed to go to Los Angeles. It doesn’t matter how carefully you drive if you are headed in the wrong direction.”

The entire country is headed in the wrong direction, and that is becoming increasingly obvious. One shocking example of that is the “Pity by the Bay.”  A place where a 22-story glass office building is on sale for $60 million. A couple of years ago, the price would have been $300 million. It turns out a million-dollar view is worthless you are distracted by an entire city rushing full speed ahead in the wrong direction.
