The great debate was held last night and it was, as expected, a hot mess. The ABC moderators were predictably prejudiced and desperately tried to help Kamala Harris . Trump, as expected, went off the rails on occasion. The moderators fact checked Trump, inaccurately, and ignored blatant lies by Kamala Harris.

We can be absolute certain that the MSM will praise Kamala Harris and trash Donald Trump. We can also be certain that at least some Republicans will criticize Trump’s performance. The most likely complaint will be “opportunity lost.” But ultimately the only opinion that matters is how people, who were undecided, reacted to this event.

The people who mattered, who watched this debate, will not react the same as the talking heads on the networks. Donald Trump is one of the most recognized names in the world. People know all about him. Nothing he said last night was a surprise to anyone. However, few people knew anything about Kamala Harris. This was her opportunity to show people that she is worthy of being President of the United States.

The most important thing for Donald Trump to do last night was show that he is not a threat to democracy. He did that in spades. In fact, he countered by pointing out who did and who did not weaponize the DOJ against political opponents. He was strong and focused in pushing back against the January 6^th insurrection myth. He even made the point that it was the irresponsible rhetoric by Democrats that contributed to him being “shot in the head.” Point taken.

Donald Trump had several points to make and he focused on them all night long. It is obvious that country is not headed in the right direction. People are concerned about inflation and economy. In addition, there is increasing concern regarding the open border and runaway crime. On those issues, Trump was much stronger than Harris.

It is hard for any of us who strongly support one of the candidates or even despise one of the candidates to give an honest evaluation of results. But there is a significant difference between Trump and Harris. I know many people who support Donald Trump, but they don’t necessarily like him. What they do like is how the country did while he was in office. This meant that in order for Kamala Harris to win this debate she needed to do two things. One is she needed to introduce herself to the American people as a focused and effective leader. I don’t think she pulled that off. The other was that she needed to convince people that Donald Trump is a threat to democracy. She didn’t do that either.

I think the post-debate polls will pretend that Harris got a post-debate bounce, but it won’t be much, and it probably won’t last. Let’s be honest, if a Republican is running five points behind at this point, they are actually ahead. That has happened almost every time for decades. Republicans always over perform on election night. This means if Kamala Harris is not ahead, she is behind. Nothing about last night changed that.

It would have been wonderful in Trump had been more disciplined and used the numerous opportunities to stick it to Kamala Harris. He didn’t do that. But he wasn’t trying to win a debate, he was trying to win an election. I would not bet against him after this performance.

The FBI announced  the formation of the Justice Department Tast Force. This is pure coincidence, of course just before the 2024 election. There have been cases of threats against election officials. It is obviously unacceptable to issue person threats against election officials. Several cases are listed, and as far as I can tell they were all threats against Democrats. They all took place after the election.

It would be really interesting to see if there were any threats against Republicans. And if there were, did the FBI investigate? We know for certain that there were definite threats of violence against Donald Trump. Yet the FBI and the Secret Service did less than nothing. The more we learn about the attempted assassination of Donald Trump the more obvious this is at best gross incompetence. The double standard is obvious.

This is why when I listened to Merrick Garland it was impossible for me to trust him. The Attorney General and the FBI have obviously been weaponized by the Biden administration. There is no other explanation for the nationwide search to find anyone associated with January 6^th, to charge them with crimes and seek the maximum possible sentence. Yet nothing similar was even considered with regard to the protests by Antifa and BLM, which were far more violent. And as for the people protesting on behalf of Hamas, few have been arrested and most were released with a slap on the wrist. Does this even make sense?

Merrick Garland personally chose Jack Smith as Special Prosecutor regarding Donald Trump. Jack Smith, as far as I know, is the only prosecutor rebuked by an 8-0 decision by the U.S. Supreme Court for prosecutorial misconduct. There are few people on this planet with less credibility that Jack Smith, yet that is who Merrick Garland chose and perhaps that is exactly why Merrick Garland chose him.

I think this will backfire on the Democrats. The biggest problem is that we are being asked to place trust in those who have demonstrated a complete lack of trustworthiness. If the true goal were to increase election security, then wouldn’t it be logical to investigate serious and credible allegations of election fraud during the 2020 presidential election? Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, except in this case, absence of an investigation. The FBI appears to have done zero investigation regarding credible allegation of systemic voter fraud during the 2020 election.

Does anyone really think the biggest threat to democracy is threats of violence against election workers? While some election workers did receive threats after an election, I am unaware of any threats before an election. Unless, of course, the threats by Republicans to monitor elections and ballot drop boxes is somehow a threat of violence against election workers.

Today there was a shooting at a school at Apalachee High School in Winder, GA. Four people are dead and nine more injured. Yet the FBI had been warned about the shooter more than a year ago. It had received several tips about online threats made regarding a school shooting. Some of these threats included photos of guns.

“At that time, there was no probable cause for arrest or to take any additional law enforcement action on the local, state and federal level,”

Well, there’s probable cause now, he is about to be charged, as an adult, with murder. Remind me again why we should trust the FBI.

I was on a slow pitch softball team playing in Wisconsin. One of our team members was from Taiwan. Taiwan had just won the little league world series and looked domineering in the process. So, our manager decided that this man from Taiwan had to be a great soft ball player, right? He was promptly installed as our shortstop, a key position. There were just a couple of problems. One was that he could not catch the ball. Another was that he could not throw the ball. He also could not hit the ball and he was a slow runner. Our manager didn’t seem to notice because he was from Taiwan, right?

After a while, it became fun to watch, because this person never caught a single ground ball or pop-up during the entire season. He never threw anyone out. And he never got a base hit. I remember one at bat where there were two outs, and I hit a triple. While standing on third base, I saw that our hero was up to bat. I knew there was no hope. I was right. He struck out (remember this is SLOW pitch) on three pitches.

Kamala Harris chose to be interviewed by CNN. Then she chose the friendliest possible CNN personality, Dana Bash. Then she insisted on her VP candidate, Tim Walz, to sit next to her. What could possibly go wrong? The problem is that she was supposed to showcase her ability to be Commander in Chief. Instead, she looked tiny next to Tim Walz who towered over her. In addition, after being served up the easiest possible soft ball questions, probably given to her in advance, and the tape being highly edited, she still struck out. If Democrats were not concerned about the September 10^th, 2024, debate, they should now be in pure panic mode. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was not some last-second emergency that would prevent her from participating.

In the meantime, there are some poll results that are just plain stunning. One is that 21% of registered Democrats in Pennsylvania have said they will vote for Trump. Every time someone asks black or Hispanic voters who they will vote for in November, a high percentage say Donald Trump. When the person questioning them tries to push back, they just laugh. Don Lemon can tell you all about this.

The bottom line is that this softball interview with questions pitched by the kindest possible person still was more than Kamala Harris could handle. If you can’t handle an interview by Dana Bash, selectively edited, with Tim Walz by your side for protection, how on earth can you handle someone like Vladimir Putin? In addition, few are even pretending that Kamala Harris looked “presidential.” A picture is worth a thousand words and a video is worth a million words.

Once again Democrats are so focused on stopping Donald Trump that they ignored the serious need to offer an alternative who at least appears to be capable of handling the job. Numerous reports show that Trump has gained support after this interview, the opposite of what Democrats wanted and needed.

Perhaps this is the reason Jack Smith filed, again, his ridiculous lawsuit against Donald Trump. Desperate people do desperate things and desperate people usually make enormous mistakes. We can expect the MSM to pretend this “interview” went great. That would not be accurate, even if one only read the transcript. However, if one actually watched this, this was beyond bad. The real problem with Kamala is Kamala. Even slow pitch soft ball questions are too fast for her to handle.

Mark Zuckerberg donated an estimated $400 million in 2020 allegedly to help finance local elections but widely recognized as designed to turn out the Democrat vote in 2020, while silencing Republican voices.

This is why it was such a shock when Zuckerberg said the following about Donald Trump following the failed assassination attempt.

Recently Zuckerberg has said he will not spend money on this election. That takes about $400 million out of Democrat coffers. Then when testifying before congress, he admitted that Facebook had buried the Hunter Biden Laptop Story and that it yielded to pressure by the Biden administration to censor “misinformation” about COVID. Finally, he said that Meta would be neutral during this election cycle. This has to be one of the biggest reversals in the history of American politics. It begs the question. Why? And Why now?

Mark Zuckerberg is a very brilliant man. He is an extraordinarily successful man. In addition, Facebook and Meta just might have more information about what Americans really want and think than anyone else. They have all this data on just about everyone and have used it brilliantly to make huge profits. We can be sure that Zuckerberg did not have a religious experience and is not doing the right thing for the right reason.

Mark Zuckerberg may know more about how people feel about the Biden Harris Administration, Immigration, Inflation, energy, and Donald Trump than anyone else. It seems likely that Zuckerberg has seen the writing on the wall or at least on the pages of Facebook and Meta. He has become convinced that Trump is going to win, and he may win by a record landslide. Like any smart businessman, and he is that in spades, he is playing the long game. He may not want or even like Donald Trump, but he cannot afford to have Donald Trump as an enemy. He may not want or even like MAGA Republicans, but he realizes they are ordinary people who spend money and buy things.

If this is accurate, then the real story about this election is extremely different from what you are hearing on the news or seeing in polls. Polls are often wrong. They rely on surveys from a small sample of people willing to respond to phone surveys. I personally don’t know anyone like that. They routinely over sample Democrats, perhaps because they are more likely to respond to silly phone calls. Polls, particularly in recent years, have been notoriously wrong and the error is always tilted toward the Democrat.

If Mark Zuckerberg thought Harris could win, he wouldn’t even bother to mention Trump’s name. Why would he? He got everything he needed from the Biden Harris administration. I think Mark Zuckerberg may just be the canary in the coal mine and wise people should pay attention. In effect, Mark just twanged, and this just may be a shot heard ’round the world.

Many people do not realize that Samson was the first Democrat.

This is why the Donkey is the symbol of the Democrat Party. Ever since the first Democratic President, Andrew Jackson, Democrats have continued to use the jawbone of an ass to destroy people.

Samson, like a lot of other powerful Democrats, had a problem with women. Democratic Presidents like LBJ, JFK and Bill Clinton were prime examples of this. Samson fell for Delilah (“The Liar”) who promptly set about to destroy him. Samson was a slow learner, so even though Delilah used several stunts to try and get him to destroy himself, he kept coming back. Eventually he was done in by a hair cut and captured by the Philistines, who promptly cut out his eyes.

Judges 16:19 & 21

“And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.”

“But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.”

The first thing Democrats do when people foolishly listen to their lies and put them in power is to try and blind people to the truth.

Samson, although blind, eventually saw the light and became a Republican. He then used his newfound ability to see things accurately to destroy the original Democratic Party, the Philistines:

There are lessons to be learned from Samson that are valuable to this day. Democrats have been using the jawbone of an ass to kill destroy things. They have also used “The Liar,” otherwise known as the Mainstream Media (“MSM”), to try and deceive people into doing things against their own interests. The most recent version of “Delilah” is Kamala Harris, who is “The Liar” chosen to lead Democrats out of the Republican wilderness into the promised but non-existent land.

The good news is that in the end, “The Liar” is also likely to facilitate the destruction of the Democratic Party.

The DNC has arrived in Chicago. Hold your breath. Tonight, Joe Biden will give the Keynote Address and his Farewell speech, at the same time. The question is whether he will deviate from the Teleprompter. The only reason anyone will watch this is to see if, like the Double Arch on Lake Powell, there will be a spectacular collapse. We can be sure that speech will be written for Joe Biden and he will be warned against going off script. Good luck with that. We can also be sure that Joe Biden and more significantly, Jill Biden are absolutely furious at the obvious disrespect and they must be tempted to fight back, at least symbolically. Oh my!

We already know about the brilliant socialist plan being prepared for King Kamala. We also know that even some of the strongest left-wing voices in the media, including on CNN, are horrified. Depending on who is actually in charge of the DNC, this could get interesting. Talk about the horns of a dilemma, this is a case study in passing the point of no return. If the DNC offers full throated support to these idiotic plans, then they could achieve results similar to what happened in 1968, when Richard Nixon won in a landslide. Remember that the only reason Joe Biden was chosen to run in 2020 was to stop Bernie Sanders from being nominated. The Democratic establishment feared feeling the Berne would result in a landslide victory for Donald Trump. Well, if the Kamala/Walz (“KW”) ticket runs on a similar platform, why would anyone expect different results.

Yet if they don’t support King Kamala and her socialist agenda, who or what will they support? What exactly are the options if your party is about to go all in on a ticket and a platform so pathetic and destructive? Do the down the ticket candidates try to distance themselves rom KW. It sure looks like the Democratic Party is headed straight toward the cliff to oblivion with no escape route in sight. If they manage to fool the American people into voting for KW, they too will suffer the consequences. They should learn from Venezuela, because rebounding from this kind of mistake can turn out to be the impossible dream.

Although far too many people will believe anything they are told by a Democrat and will vote for any Democratic politician, regardless of circumstances, not all Democrats are this stupid. Even if they just decide to sit this election out, the results will be devastating for the Democratic Party. We see all the polls but we also see the live interviews of ordinary people, and it is increasingly difficult even for someone as far left as Don Lemon to find someone who has not figured this out. In the recent video, when he tried to fact challenge one of these people, they literally laughed at him.

If you have ever been to Chicago there is reason it is called the Windy City. Most people assume it is because of the weather. That may be partially true, but it was also reflective of the politicians known for a lot of hot air. This may even date back to the 1893 World’s Fair, held in Chicago. The World’s Columbian Exposition was to celebrate the 400^th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s arrival in the New World in 1492. Many of the people attending the DNC this year view this more as an unwarranted invasion than something to celebrate.

By the way, the Chicago fair ended with mayor Carter Harrison Sr. being assassinated by Patrick Eugene Pendergast two days before the fair ended. Let’s hope the DNC does better than that. The closing ceremonies were cancelled in favor of a memorial service.

The DNC is headed toward Chicago, starting Monday. This brings back memories, all bad, of the 1968 DNC in Chicago. There are reports that up to 100,000 pro-Palestinian protestors are on the way. Odds are the convention center will be surrounded by the same police Kamala Harris wanted to defund. Ironic.

I distinctly remember when LBJ realized he was toast. It was when Walter Cronkite turned on him and described the Vietnam War as a quagmire. LBJ was quoted as saying “If I’ve lost Cronkite, I’ve lost Middle America.”

For the record, Cronkite was totally wrong about this. This was just after the Tet Offensive and that actually was a major defeat, for the Viet Cong and the NVA. They changed from conducting a guerrilla war to attacking major U.S. installations all over Vietnam. People like Cronkite were shocked that they were able to organize an attack and hit so many places at once. But the reality is that while the U.S. and South Vietnam suffered 12,727 casualties, including 2,600 fatalities the Viet Cong and NVA had a much higher casualty count. Initial estimates were at 60,000 fatalities, out of 85,000 troops and 24,000 weapons captured. That was later revised downward, but by any measurement the Viet Cong and the NVA suffered a humiliating and catastrophic defeat. In addition, the South Vietnamese people openly rejected the call to rebel against the South Vietnamese government.

Sadly, the MSM, including Cronkite, got this 100% wrong. They were wrong about everything. The South Vietnamese people were furious after the Tet Offensive and determined to fight on. General Westmoreland saw an opportunity to defeat the Viet Cong and the NVA and deny any further resurgence. That never happened because of irresponsible reporting by the MSM which ignored the reality of the situation and instead painted the entire Vietnam War as a waste.

For the record, I was stationed in Southeast Asia in 1968 as a Vietnamese Linguist, Airborne Voice Intercept operator. The panic this caused to the Viet Cong and the NVA was beyond obvious. But then we started to see a change. When the communists saw the anti-war demonstrations in the U.S., they decided that if they just hung on a little longer and caused a few more American casualties, the American would give up and quit. That, sadly, is exactly what happened.

This is one reason I gag when I hear someone describe Walter Cronkite as the most trusted news reporter on earth. He was trusted, but that did not make him trustworthy.

But the real point here is that if Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have lost CNN, they have lost the middle part of the Democratic base. This is incredible just hours before the DNC. There are certainly powerful people in the Democratic Party who are in full panic mode. Unlike the usual suspects, they weren’t fooled by the gaslighting campaign conducted by far too many in the MSM. The question is whether they can do anything about it. But they know that if Harris and Walz go into November sustaining these types of attacks from CNN and possibly the Washington Post and the New York Times, Trump will win with a record landslide.

At some point, even those willing to ignore the obvious to justify their support of any Democrat, reach a breaking point. Like the point where the cost of groceries is not just an inconvenience, it is a threat to our way of life.

It is just possible that Chicago is about to become a boom town, in ways few could have even imagined a few days ago.

Elon Musk interviewed Donald Trump on “X,” which used to be known as Twitter. The live interview was delayed for 45 minutes, allegedly because of a Denial-of-service (“DoS”) attack. Prior to the interview, the European Union (“EU”) tired to block streaming this interview because of the potential for “misinformation.”  The Harris/Walz campaign tried to joke about the delay.

There are wild variations regarding how many people watched this interview. But it does appear there were 95 million views. Of course, the MSM estimates that only about 700,000 people watched the event, while Trump’s estimate is 16 million. The only thing certain is that Trump will exaggerate the number of viewers while the MSM will do the exact opposite.

If the media really believed that only about 700,000 people watched this interview, why bother? USA today described it as following:

Keep in mind that these are the same people pretending Kamala Harris has suddenly morphed into a world-class orator during the last 24 days. The MSM will try to silence and misrepresent Donald Trump at every opportunity while simultaneously elevating Kamala Harris to the sky. But the reality is that this interview terrified the left-wing media. Partially because they had no control over it but mostly because their brains are fogged by late-stage Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Liberals consider themselves to be intellectually gifted and they cannot comprehend the concept of intelligent people disagreeing with them. This is why Hillary Clinton talked about the basket of deplorables and the MSM makes so many rude and insulting comments about MAGA people.

But people living outside the left-wing liberal bubble see a lot of things that are, well, obvious. They see the price of groceries. They see the cost of gas. They see surging crime rates. They see horrific crimes committed by illegal aliens who should not even be here. They see the filth and the stench of homeless encampments.

Soon and very soon, they will see more. They will see videos, like this, showing how Governor Tim Walz ordered police to shoot paintballs at people who dared sit on their own porches during the COVID panic.

To those who were not dazzled by the Snoop Dog/Tom Cruise Olympics, a lot of things have been going on. Perhaps the most important is that Tim Walz is, well, Tim Walz. The MSM has been trying to gaslight the Harris/Walz ticket as the greatest show on earth, but the problem is that when the curtain goes up everything else goes down. Wise people, such as those advising Harris and Walz know this, which is why they only allow her to speak with a Teleprompter while avoiding any tough questions. Tim Walz, on the other hand, has been unleashed with spectacularly bad results. Kamala Harris’s big event, in Las Vegas drew a less than spectacular crowd. When you combine this with the absolutely horrible performance of Walz as governor of Minnesota, it is close to a perfect storm. But wait. There’s more. It turns out Walz bragged about carrying a rifle in combat. Except he retired before his troops went to Iraq. Then he had memories of watching bodies being loaded on to planes at Bagram AB, Iraq. It would be more believable if Bagram was not actually in Afghanistan.

If you are going to have such a strong memory about something, do a little research before you embarrass yourself. Like when John Kerry talked about how his swift boat was  ordered into Cambodia on Christmas Day, 1968, by President Nixon. It would have been more believable if Nixon had actually been President on Christmas Day in 1968. He didn’t take office until January 1969.

Trump figured out how to showcase the real Kamala Harris. He just shows real, un-doctored videos of her on the big screen behind him. He should stop putting her down and just keep putting up those videos. Wow! If I were running Trump’s campaign, I would be releasing the Kamala video of the day, every day until election day.

Things are so bad that Democrats are caught on the horns of a dilemma. Smart Democrats know that Tim Walz is turning out to be an unmitigated disaster. Technically, while one could argue that Kamala Harris was voted in as the nominee, no one voted for Tim Walz other than Kamala Harris. Yet, unless something changes, the DNC convention next week will endorse the Harris/Walz ticket.

When Biden ran for President, he hid in his basement and there really weren’t a lot of videos of him. But the opposite is true for Kamala Harris. There are tons of videos, most of them are bad, some plain awful, and all are circulating like mad on the internet. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and while the MSM is trying to paint a vastly different picture of Kamala, people can and will see the real thing for themselves. At least some will understand why she was polling less than 3% when she dropped out of the 2020 primaries. As for Tim Walz, well he is the gift that keeps on giving.

There are always a certain percentage of people who will vote for the Democrat, without regard to any facts or evidence. The MSM will continue to function as the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party. The all-out effort to paint Trump as a serial liar and a threat to democracy will continue. The daily legal assaults on him, although losing steam, will continue. But there are numerous reports that blacks and Hispanics are abandoning the Democratic Party. Democrats will still get a majority of the vote, but they can no longer count on getting 90% of that vote. If these reports are accurate, Trump will win in a landslide. Trump’s best campaign ad is the printed receipt when one purchases anything at the grocery store.

When I learned that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz had been chosen to be Kamala Harris’s proposed running mate, for some reason the tune “Waltzing Matilda” came into mind. Then I did a little research regarding “Watzing Matilda” and realized it may actually be a pretty accurate description of the Harris/Walz campaign.

Most of us know the tune “Waltzing Matilda” but I suspect few Americans know what it means. For example, I always thought Matilda was a girl. That isn’t close to true. This is an Australian folk song or more accurately a bush ballad. “Waltzing” was Australian slang for traveling on foot with all one’s belongs in a “matilda” which was a swag bag slung over one’s back.

I do not know why Kamala Harris chose Tim Walz as her running mate. Perhaps she was so impressed by his glib attitude that she didn’t pay much attention to what he was actually saying. Or maybe she chose him because he is also a left-wing radical who shares her world view. One suspects that it was more likely that she rejected Josh Shapiro because he is Jewish and antisemitism in the DNC is all too real. She may have rejected Mark Kelly because he had more than a little baggage. Like when he rode a motorcycle onto a stage in China, with an American Flag on one handlebar and the Chinese flag on the other, to the tune of Kenny Loggins “Danger Zone.” Then he told people how he took Shaklee Vitalizer on the space shuttle Endeavour in 2011. There is more, like having Chinese investors in his Observation Balloon company, but the motorcycle video was probably more than enough.

So, perhaps Walz was chosen for the same reason Biden chose Kamala Harris four years ago. They both just ran out of options.

Tim Walz can sound entertaining, until one listens to what he is saying. But more importantly, he, like a “matilda” comes with some serious baggage. I am a Vietnam Veteran who flew on hundreds of combat missions. Like most combat veterans, few things disgust me more than someone who “pretends” they deserve applause for non-existent illusionary acts of heroism. I wouldn’t have a problem with Walz retiring from his National Guard unit, when he realized he was probably on his way to Iraq. Trust me on this, getting shot at is overrated. But lying about it and then falsely pretending he bravely served in Iraq is a vastly different thing.

His record as Governor of Minnesota, while probably popular in the deep blue parts of the state, is not popular anywhere else. Watching Minneapolis burn, because of the George Floyd protests, perhaps while secretly cheering them on, is the polar opposite of effective leadership.

So, while the MSM, predictably, is humming “Walzing Matilda” , stupidly thinking this is about dancing with a pretty Australian girl, “Waltzing Matilda” is a surprisingly good description of the American lifestyle for far too many people if Bidenomics is allowed to continue for another four years. When people realize what the lyrics actually say, well “Watzing Matilda” is a cute tune, but not an inspiring vision of the future.
