The NFL Owners and Players go together, as a committee, to solve the problem with the National Anthem protests.  The damage done by these protests staggers the mind.

The NFL’s net favorability has dropped from 56% in May to 11% today.  The TV rating for the game between Green Bay and Dallas were down by 19% from last year.  Sponsors are rattled and future prospects are very grim.

So, the NFL owners and the players sat side by side to come up with a solution.  It was perfect theatre, if you’re a boneheaded liberal without a clue.

This isn’t just about standing for the National Anthem.  This is about a bunch of arrogant self-righteous billionaire owners holding hands with their equally arrogant and self-righteous multi millionaire employees to tell the rest of us, the little people, how to feel. Don’t we understand that it is far more important that we listen to them than that they respect our nation, our national anthem, our military or our heritage?

Here’s the deal folks.  You put on a good show and you showcase good athletes. That does not mean the rest of us are required to worship at your feet. We admire athletic performance, that does not mean we consider you to be direct descendants of God intellectualy and morally superior to all of mankind.

It’s not just the NFL. We are also sick and tired of arrogant self-righteous liberal celebrities telling us how to feel.  Do we really need to explain why no one wants to attend your movies or watch your shows anymore?

We are tired of the hopelessly biased left-wing liberal press lecturing us on every issue.  Who elected you guys God!.  Heck, most of you don’t even believe in God, you just believe in your God Given right to put down anyone who dares disagree with you.  .

Anyone who dares disagree with liberalism is treated as pond scum, without regard to the facts.  How dare we have a different opinion than you, the cultured, morally superior elite.  You literally try to silence anyone who dares disagree with you, sometimes with violence.  We are all lumped into Hillary Clinton’s basket of deplorables.

Now, inspite of the systemic coverups, the truth is coming out about you and it stinks to high heaven.  Those self-righteous NFL players weeping for social justice sure seem to get arrested a lot, for beating up on their wifes and girlfriends among other things.  But it doesn’t really matter, does it, because they are really good ball players.

Those self-righteous Hollywood celebrities have been too busy lecturing us about woman’s rights to notice that they were embracing a culture of sexual harrassment, pedophilia and out right sexual assault that staggers the mind.  This is so bad that even Jane Fonda, was embarrassed, a little.

The elite sophisticated cultured elite in the main stream media has been suckered into a desperate search for the myth of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia while too stupid to realize the real collusion was between Russia and the Clinton campaign.  We are far from shocked that the Clintonians lied to everyone, we are just shocked that so many supposed smart people bought this crap.

At some point, when your cozy little world has disintegrated into utter chaos, primarily because of self-inflicted mass insanity, you will probably with join Hillary Clinton in asking:  “What Happened?” We’ll give you the same advice.  You might start by buying some mirrors and then ask real people, you know the people you used to refer to as viewers, or listeners or fans, what they think.  You just might find out that the basket of deplorables is a lot smarter than you think.  We certainly have been on to you for a very long time.

Imagine that when Donald Trump, Jr. met with a Russian attorney on June 9, 2017 he committed to spend between $4 and $6 million to fund opposition research regarding Hillary Clinton.  Suppose that this research would consist of conversations with known Russian agents, with direct connections to the Kremlin, who were paid for information while fueled by alcohol.  Suppose that this research resulted in a salacious and dubious document providing details of alleged sexual misconduct by Hillary and or Bill Clinton.  Supposed this document suggested that it was Bill and Hillary Clinton who were colluding with Russia to impact the election.

Suppose that the plan was to dump this document on the public about a week before the election, so that Hillary would not have any time to respond.

But wait, this actually did happen.  Only it wasn’t the Trump campaign that financed this opposition research, it was the Clinton campaign.  The document alleging sexual misconduct was about Donald Trump, not Bill or Hillary Clinton.  And it is Hillary Clinton who is on the record saying she was disappointed this wasn’t leaked to the press before the election.

Imagine that Russian business people closely associated with Putin contacted a firm owned by a close associate of Donald Trump.  The plan was to invest in coal mines, with the assumption that President Trump would loosen the regulations on coal resulting in massive profits for coal mines.  Suppose that the amount invested was $35 million.  This is viewed as smoking gun evidence that Putin not only wanted Donald Trump to win the election, he gambled millions on a Donald Trump Presidency.

But wait, the Russian business people connected with Putin didn’t invest $35 million in coal mines; they invested in Joule Unlimited, a producer of alternative energy.  Joule Unlimited was expected to prosper when President Hillary Clinton continued President Obama’s insane war against Carbon Dioxide.  John Podesta, Hillary’s campaign manager, by pure coincidence, was on the board of Joule Unlimited.

If the Trump campaign had done this, it would be the top story on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, Fox News, and MSNBC and every major Newspaper in the country.  This would be referred to as a constitutional crisis. There would be a bi-partisan demand for Donald Trump to either resign or face impeachment.

But it wasn’t the Trump Campaign, so ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, Fox News and MSNBC are trying to determine if this story is even worth covering.  Even if one assumes that the Clinton Campaign did all this, it is understandable, because the most important thing was to stop Donald Trump from becoming President of the United States.

The only question is:  Are people really going to buy this?

The liberal left is waking up to a world class hangover.  It started with Harvey Weinstein.  Everyone knew he was a disgusting pervert, but they didn’t care as long as he brought them fame and fortune.  Now that his ability to deliver fame and fortune has disappeared, the truth about him is on full display and his strongest supporters are running for the exits.  All it took was for one news organization to report the truth.  A New York Times reporter, Jodi Kantor, got permission to investigate this and report on it.  Once that happened, Weinstein was toast.

When the Weinstein story broke, a lot of people finally sobered up, realized who they were actually sleeping with, threw up and for the first time in decades actually looked at themselves in the mirror.  It was a life changing experience.

Now those same people are looking around and seeing things clearly for the first time in forever.  Bill and Hillary Clinton are just as disgusting as Harvey Weinstein with the added component that they literally sold our national security for 30 pieces of silver.  They also lied to everyone, including those who were stupidly willing to believe them.  It is an irredeemable breach of trust.

The Clinton cover-up continued, until this week.  That all changed overnight.  Suddenly the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Associate Press and many other news organizations are reporting the facts about the Clintons and the facts are really ugly. Perhaps this is a carryover from the Weinstein effect.  What triggered it is a letter from Matthew Gehringer, General Counsel for Perkins Coie, LLP to William W. Taylor III at Zuckerman Spaeder, LLP:

As recently as last week, Fusion GPS officials were pleading the 5^th Amendment to resist testifying under oath before a congressional committee.  They were also resisting subpoenas from a congressional committee to avoid admitting who funded this research.

Perkins Coie called their bluff.  Anyone involved with litigation for a major corporation is very familiar with Perkins Coie.  This is one of the largest and most respected law firms in the country.  This letter, written by the General Counsel for Perkins Coie is obviously intended to distance themselves from Fusion GPS, the DNC and the Hillary for America campaign.  They literally threw everyone under the bus.  This is nothing short of a public divorce.  Anyone remotely familiar with Perkins Coie and how they operate will recognize the significance of this event.

This is a major bombshell and it is always hard to estimate the full extent of the damage.  All we know at this point is that this is far too big to ignore.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Robert Mueller is confronted with bi-partisan requests for his resignation and a bi-partisan demand for a truly independent counsel to investigate this.  Robert Mueller sure looks a case study in hiring the fox to guard the hen house. Even the most character challenged Democratic rat has to be looking for the easiest exist from this rapidly sinking ship.  Democrats will try and fail to pretend there is still a need to investigate alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia but under the circumstances that looks absurd.

This is as devastating as it gets.  Immediate action is required to restore faith in the Department of Justice.  The main stream media should be more than embarrassed, they should be humiliated.  I expect them to turn on the DNC and Hillary Clinton with unstrained outrage.  Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned or a complacent media lied to continuously and sanctimoniously for the last year.  Actually they’ve been lied to for eight of the last nine years.

CNN, of course, will desperately try to ignore this story and then downplay the significance while simultaneously pretending some trivial thing done by the Trump campaign is smoking gun proof of the crime of the century.  That hasn’t worked all year and it won’t work now.  The longer they continue ignoring what is now more than obvious the more damage they are doing to their network.  If only I cared.

The liberal left is still desperately seeking some evidence of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.  They have less than nothing.  Now in a desperate search to trash Trump, for something, they are criticizing him for calling the widow of a fallen soldier.  This caused me to wonder what is going on.  Why engage in an attack not only destined to fail, but guaranteed to backfire.  This is nothing short of insane.   Even Trump Derangement Syndrome is an insufficient explanation.

It is always risky to understand logic by those who seldom display the capacity of logical thought.  But one wonders if liberals are attacking Trump because they are terrified that he is going to attack them.  The Fusion GPS story is blowing up.  High ranking officials are pleading the 5^th Amendment to avoid self-incrimination.  In addition, this firm is trying to squash a subpoena.  I don’t know what they are hiding, but they are either really stupid or it is so devastating they will do anything to keep this covered up.

The Uranium One scandal points directly toward Bill and Hillary Clinton.  One would think that this would be the really important story, because it literally involves potential treason.  But, there is another story, just breaking, that is far more significant.  The following is from Salon, not exactly a right wing rag.

NBC is reporting that special prosecutor Robert Mueller has been investigating Tony Podesta.  That is John Podesta’s brother.  John Podesta, Hillary’s campaign manager, was on the board of a Russian alternative energy company called Joule.  Dmitry Akhanov, an associate of Putin, was directly connected to Joule.  They were apparently gambling that they would gain access to a Clinton White House.  Now that this did not happen, Joule Unlimited has folded.

Akhanov has allegedly confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation that his company invested and lost 1 billion rubles when Joule closed.  That would be about $35 million.  So Russia literally invested at least $35 million in a Clinton Presidency. It is impossible to reconcile this with the theory that Putin wanted Trump to win.  No wonder the main stream media wanted everyone to focus on alleged collusion by the Trump campaign.  They were desperate to distract from the real collusion by the Clinton campaign.  If Hillary had been elected, Loretta Lynch would have been Attorney General and all of this would have been covered up.  This is the real reason liberals are so terrified of Donald Trump. The truth is that liberals and the Democratic Party can’t handle the truth.

I strongly recommend everyone watch “Breech.” This is a movie based on Robert Hanssen, who was an FBI agent and a Russian spy.  Some of his activities overlapped with Aldrich Ames, who was a CIA agent and a KGB mole.  This is a case study in what is required when you simply do not know who can and cannot be trusted.  The FBI set up a very secret task force, composed of carefully selected people that absolutely could be trusted.  Secrecy was paramount.  Even other FBI agents were kept out of the loop. The only people who knew about this secret task force were the people who needed to know.

Is this happening now?  We don’t know.  That is the point, no one would know.  What we do know is that Donald Trump, Jeff Sessions and Christopher Wray are not likely to miss the implications of the Uranium One case.  They also very aware that the people involved in this case includes Robert Mueller, former Director of the FBI, Rod Rosenstein, Deputy Attorney General and Andrew McCabe, Deputy Director of the FBI, all currently involved in the FBI investigation of Russian collusion. Only a fool would trust them to investigate this.  Trump is a lot of things, but he is not a fool.

The FBI knew there was illegal Russian interference; they arrested 10 spies on June 28, 2010.  This was the day before Bill Clinton gave a speech in Moscow for $500,000.

According to Eric Holder the sudden arrests were to prevent one of the spies from fleeing the country. Then, within hours, the spies were all released and sent back to Russia.

CNN and the rest of the media just yawned and ignored the obvious.  Fox News kept investigating and in October of 2011 they gave a report that should have stunned the nation.  It was so obvious that even I noticed and wrote about it in my blog on October 11, 2011.

This article claims that it was Hillary Clinton who worked feverishly to get those 10 spies send back to Moscow.  It worked.  They were back in Russia before the end of the 4^th of July weekend.  They were swapped for an SVR officer who had been an American double agent, a political prisoner, a Russian military intelligence colonel who had spied for Britain and an elder KGB agent from Soviet Times.

No one in the main stream media noticed.  No cared.  But the good news is that there is a new Sheriff in town, President Donald Trump and he definitely cares.  If you were President Donald Trump, and you knew about this what would you do?  If you were Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the President of the United States asked you what to do, how would you respond?  I would suggest he ask the President to watch “Breech.”

So far no main stream media outlet is bothering to report on the explosive allegation that Russian bribed Bill and Hillary Clinton to get access to our uranium.  Incredibly, Joe Scarborough slammed Donald Trump for “trying to politicize this.”  The problem for the liberal left is that thanks to Harvey Weinstein, covering up for liberal Democrats is so yesterday.  For the first time, in a very long time, some very left wing people have actually looked into a mirror and they saw the same disgusting self-righteous hypocrites we have been seeing for years.  They are embarrassed and more and more of them are pulling a Howard Beal.  They are clamoring for the first Microphone desperate to scream:  “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore.”

Biden is right, silence is complicity, silence is consent and it is about time people start being held accountable.

CNN is so busy rejoicing over the alleged conflict between Rex Tillerson and Donald Trump that they are missing the obvious.  Kim Jong-un is a serious problem.  The only possibility of getting him peacefully to back off his nuclear program is to scare the crap out of him.  The other alternative will be a tragic loss of life on both sides.

Trump and Tillerson may be playing good cop – bad cop to perfection.  Trump says scary things on twitter and he is routinely described by the main stream media as insane.  There are numerous reports that people from North Korea have contacted senior Democrats and asked them if Donald Trump is for real.  Recently there are even reports that Tillerson referred to Trump as a moron.  That sounds awful, to CNN, but it actually is great news if North Korea is terrified of Donald Trump.  They knew that with President Barack Obama there was absolutely nothing to fear.  That is why they instantly restarted their nuclear program when he became President.  Trump, on the other hand, is unpredictable.  He just may be the ultimate bad cop.

In the meantime, Tillerson clearly has some direct channels to North Korea.  Tillerson is almost certainly saying things like:  I understand how you feel and I would like to help you, but I’m not sure I can predict what Donald Trump will do.  He is the ultimate good cop.

Good cop – bad cop.  It has worked many times before on many different people.  We all better hope it works this time, because if North Korea underestimates Donald Trump the entire world may pay a terrible price.

Let’s assume, for a moment, that Hillary Clinton had foolishly been elected President of the United States last November.  Let’s assume that in response to the latest horrific mass murder in Las Vegas she managed to get congress to ban “Assault: rifles” and to begin a program to confiscate all those in existence.  Let’s assume this was limited only to AR15 rifles which are foolishly considered by the naïve idiots who know nothing about guns to be assault rifles.  What, exactly, would happen if liberals actually realized their dream?

Let’s assume that CNBC is right and that there are just over 5 million Americans who own an AR-15 type rifle. (I am pretty sure that estimate is very low)  If the average cost of these rifles is at least $500, (good luck trying to buy an AR15 for $500), that would cost $2.5 billion to buy them.  Since the government is notoriously inefficient, it would be safe to assume it would cost another $2.5 billion for processing.  Now we are up to $5 billion.   That is assuming everyone would just willingly cooperate.  They won’t.

Lawsuits would be inevitable.  This puppy would be headed straight to the Supreme Court.  Wait, not exactly “straight.”  It would have to filter through several federal courts.  Some courts, like the Ninth Circuit Court, would cheer and rubber-stamp this confiscation.  Other courts would issue restraining orders.  Even the ACLU might resist this, although predicting responsible behavior by the ACLU is a suckers bet.  It would take years for this to come close to the Supreme Court.  The legal expenses alone will probably exceed the value of the guns.  .

This is assuming that everyone just willingly cooperates.  They won’t.  The black market for untraceable AR15 type rifles will skyrocket.  In addition, some percentage of people will fight back.  I still remember when a friend of mine, who had never owned or fired a weapon of any kind, showed up wearing a tee shirt that said:  “You can take my gun when you pry my cold dead fingers off it.”  Imagine how real gun owners think.

What if “only” 1% of people who own AR15 type guns decide not to cooperate?  The police are going to have to forcibly take away guns from only 500,000 people who all happen to be armed with AR15 rifles.  Good luck with that.  If you think the shooting in Las Vegas was bad, just wait until the police start trying to confiscate all those AR15s.  Most people won’t resort to violence, but some definitely will do exactly that and the results will be beyond horrific.  Anyone want to apply for that job?  Before you fill out the papers, check out Ruby Ridge.

By the way, contrary to what you hear on CNN, an AR15 type rifle is not significantly different in performance that any other semi-automatic rifle.  They just look scary.  There are at least 40 million semi-automatic rifles owned by Americans. So even if you get rid of every AR15 type rifle, you haven’t begun to solve the problem.

If liberals actually passed their dream gun control legislation, it would be a financial and logistical nightmare.  The cost would be so enormous that cuts would have to be made to entitlement programs.  How on earth would liberals ever win another election?

Even if banning AR15 type rifles would actually reduce the number of mass murders, which is far from true, this is an insane idea.  I suspect even the usual suspects like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi know that.  But they will continue to propose insane ideas because there are so many Kool-Aid drinking liberals cheered on by intellectuals like Jimmy Kimmel too filled with self-righteous indignation to realize that this is utter nonsense.  Unfortunately just because something is insanely stupid does not mean that congress, including sadly a lot of Republicans, won’t do it anyway.

We are used to the liberal left and the main stream media getting everything wrong.  This time, they made an irreversible error.  Following Roger Goodell’s lead, the NFL became unified.  The NFL doubled down on this and put on the most disgusting display in the history of America.  Every single NFL team, to some extent or another, decided that supporting players who wanted to disrespect our flag was the highest virtue.  They decided the NFL matters more than the country. Disrespecting the Flag was okay – disrespecting the NFL was the unpardonable sin.

It was a colossal mistake.  I watched the start of the Monday Night Football game to see what the Dallas Cowboys would do.  Jerry Jones was on record as saying he wanted the Cowboys to stand for the National Anthem.  What he should have done is stood there on the field, with his hand over his heart, and challenged his players to honor America by joining him.  He would have immediately made the Cowboys America’s team.  Sadly, he ignored his own instincts and made things worse.  He joined them on their knees and then they all stood there with arms linked during the National Anthem.  Message received; the unity of the NFL matters more than the unity of the country.

If you think people were angry before, they are furious now.  We have never seen anything like this.  The people really are united, but not in their support for the NFL.  That odor you smell is of people burning NFL jerseys, including Dallas Cowboy jerseys, this morning.  It is mingling with the smoke from other NFL jerseys being burned all over the country.

I have a baseball from the 1994 World Series.  I like to bring it out and challenge anyone to name one of the two teams that played in that World Series.  I get a lot of guesses, all wrong.  Then I laugh, because although they made a 1994 World Series commemorative baseball, they didn’t actually have a World Series in 1994 due to the strike.

The reality is that baseball never really recovered. In 2016, average attendance was 29,339, less than what it was in 1993 and far less than it would be if it hadn’t been for that strike.  Baseball simply is no longer America’s game.  Sorry, but this is really obvious. Odds are your kids and grandkids know a lot more about soccer than they do baseball. That is why so many major league players are from other countries.  The kids here have moved on.

The NFL was already in trouble. The move of the Rams and the Chargers to Los Angeles is a huge failure.  Los Angeles has a lot of people, they just don’t bother going to football games. Then we learned about all the concussions and the horrible physical effects on retired players.  Many parents are asking if they really want their kids to play football.  Who can blame them? Colin Kaepernick starting sitting down for the National Anthem and the liberal left equated this with some great act of courage.  More and more NFL players decided this was a great idea.  No one dared tell the truth about this, until Donald Trump gave a speech this week:

I was recently at a San Francisco 49ers game.  They brought out the biggest American flag I have ever seen.  It covered the entire field.  Almost everyone stood at attention and honored our country.  Do you think they will listen to someone like Keith Olbermann and sit down during the National Anthem so NFL players don’t get hurt feelings?

Please!  Is Keith Olbermann still alive?  Apparently he is now hosting a YouTube show for GQ.  I don’t know, I don’t care and neither does anyone else.  If people do decide to still attend an NFL game this weekend, I will wager a large bet that most people will stand and cheer the National Anthem louder than ever before.  I also predict that a lot of them will avoid insulting the over-paid arrogant jerks congratulating themselves on the field by staying home and turning off the TV.

In 1994, Baseball flipped the bird to the American people.  In 1995, the networks required by contract to broadcast major league baseball, lost $595 million.  Want to guess how much advertising revenue will be lost this time?  It sure looks like 1994 all over again; just substitute the NFL for MLB.  Game on, or perhaps not.
