Governor Jerry Brown has appealed to President Donald Trump for $160 million in emergency aid because of the Oroville Dam crisis.  So far the response has been silence.

Since Trump has been inaugurated Democrats have done everything possible to obstruct him. Governor Jerry Brown has been very vocal about this. Perhaps Tom Donnelly said it best:

California Attorney General Becerra “is expected to be instrumental in battling with the Trump White House over any attempt to enforce stringent measures aimed at immigrants.  Mr. Brown has made clear that he intends to challenge the administration on global warming and that his attorney general will be a key to that battle.

Now it turns out California had a lot more to fear from the incompetence of Governor Brown than from anything Trump has or will do.  Trump has a lot of reason to just say no.  He could point out, correctly, that if California would use the funds it has to stop resisting him and perhaps spent a couple of bucks on things that really matter, like fixing the Oroville Dam it wouldn’t need a federal handout.  Last night on his show Tucker Carlson ended his show by pointing out that if Governor Brown had not wasted billions on an obsolete train to nowhere, he could have easily fixed the Oroville Dam.  The state has known about this problem for years.  This is a classic example of “poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.”

I would love to listen in on the following phone call from President Donald Trump to Governor Jerry Brown.  “Hi Governor, sorry for the delay, but we are little backed up here because Democrats refused to approve my cabinet. In addition, I have been consulting with my team on how I can protect the country in spite of the daily obstruction by California. As you know, we have to allocate money to fight California on global warming and deporting criminal illegal aliens. I’m sorry, but right now I just can’t, in good conscience, send money to California so that you can use your resources to build worthless trains, establish a sanctuary state and defy the federal government in every way possible.”

“Tell you what Jerry, call me back when you are more responsible with the money you already have before you beg me for assistance.”

Virtually all of the problems facing California because of this winter weather were preventable.  Liberal Democrats fought Governor Schwarzenegger when he pushed to build new dams. Here is what Schwarzenegger was saying in 2008.

Donald Trump stepped in it big time with this “Muslim ban,” right?  I mean there were protests all over the place and all these heartbreaking stories about families ripped apart.  This was so obviously unconstitutional that a Washington Judge arrogantly issued a temporary restraining order.  Then, to add insult to injury the 9^th Circuit Court doubled down on the humiliation by upholding this order.

But In their haste to play politics, liberals overlooked a couple things.  What Trump did is clearly legal and even liberal law professors admit this. In addition, Trump is right about the threat of terrorism from these seven countries.

When Isikoff asked Assad if any of the refugees are terrorists Assad quickly said “definitely.”  He said you can find it on the Net. “Those terrorists in Syria, holding the machine gun or killing people, they [appear as] peaceful refugees in Europe or in the west.” This had the ugly odor of truth.

Assad pointed out, correctly, that even a few terrorist can create huge problems.  The 9-11 attack was carried out by only 20 people.

The liberal left was celebrating so loudly they didn’t notice that the 9^th Circuit Court had done something really stupid.  Liberal Democrats are, once again, on the record putting politics ahead of national security.  If there is a terrorist attack and it comes from someone remotely connected with one of those seven countries, who would you rather be?  The President who tried to stop it or the arrogant lefties who threw a hissy fit putting us all at risk?

The events yesterday at the Oroville Dam remind us the risk from public officials more than willing to ignore obvious risk. The following article in the Mercury News shows that 12 years ago three groups filed a motion with the Federal Government on October 17, 2005 warning of exactly this risk.  The State Department of Water Resources and the water agencies that would have been required to pay for fixing the emergency spillway argued that there was no risk. Sadly, FERC agreed with them.  Obviously, they were wrong.

We are fortunate that the original report that the emergency spillway could fail in about an hour were inaccurate.  If that had happened, the loss of life and property damage would have been staggering.  The good news is that the worst case didn’t happen.  The bad news is that there are a series of storms approaching California and this is far from over.

This is a classic example of what happens when government officials put politics ahead of protecting the public.  Those upgrades to the Oroville Dam Emergency Spillway would have been very expensive in 2005.  They will cost a lot more now.  I hope the people in La La Land enjoyed all that cheap water.

This is remarkably similar to the decision made by Judge Robart and the 9^th Circuit Court.  It is why Donald Trump won by losing. Donald Trump is President of the United States and if liberals keep resisting him, to the point that he can no longer take the action necessary to protect us the cost may be far more than the potential failure of the Oroville Dam.  This should be a wake-up call to liberals everywhere, but there seems little chance of that happening.

We are used to gross distortion in the reporting of anything by the main stream media.  We have gone well beyond bias to the point of total distrust.  Perhaps the best example of this has been the reporting on the Dakota Access Pipeline.  If you watched the main stream media this is just a bunch of people outraged by the total disregard to the environment by the greedy oil companies, right?  The oil companies want to pollute a pristine Indian reservation just to make a couple of extra bucks.  What more do you need to know?

The reality is that this involves placing a pipeline, very near the site of an existing pipeline that has been working without problems since 1982.  This pipeline will be located 100 ft. below the Missouri River that flows into Lake Oahe.  While we should always be concerned about pollution, this is a classic example of selective outrage.  The pipeline doesn’t actually cross the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.  The Missouri River does flow into Lake Oahe, and it is important to prevent pollution of the Missouri River.  But the River itself is 2,341 miles long, before it merges with the Mississippi River.  It is the longest river in the United States. Have you ever wondered if there are any bridges over the Missouri River?  It turns out there are approximately 154 bridges over the Missouri River.  Following is a list of bridges over the Missouri River from WikiPedia, located in Montana and North Dakota, all of which are “before” Lake Oahe:

Do any of you remember the main stream media mentioning any of these bridges?  Me neither. Do you think there might be some risk of an oil spill from railroad trains hauling tanker cars on deteriorating rails or tanker trucks crossing these bridges?  The main stream media created the impression that the only risk to this pristine river has to come from this single state of the art pipeline, located 100 ft. below the bottom of the river.  That is, of course, absurd.

Sadly, there is a significant pollution risk to the river at this location.  It was created by the “environmentalists” literally crapping all over the place.  With total disregard for the environment, they left a mess that desperately needs to be cleaned up before the spring thaw.  While the Standing Rock Indian Reservation was worried about the slim possibility of pollution from a well contructed pipeline they were ignoring the all too real pollution risk from the environmental activists themselves.

Rex Tillerson will be confirmed as Secretary of State Wednesday. Up until now, it was nearly impossible for a Secretary of State to really change much. It is nearly impossible to fire a bureaucrat. But there is an important exception. Incredibly, 900 idiots at the state department just signed their name to a memo disagreeing with a direct order by the President of the United States. Tillerson would have spent a lot of time just trying to identify these people and it would have been difficult if not impossible to get rid of them. This is the problem for liberals.  They ignore facts, including inconvenient facts such as their previous position on the same issues.  The difference between Trump and his liberal opponents really boils down to one thing.  Trump does what he said he would do and he doesn’t really care what liberals think about it.  While he will fight back on twitter, he never allows unjust and irrational criticism to deter him from his mission.  His mission, incredibly, is to do exactly what he said he would do.

In the ultimate irony, while liberals are dazed, outraged and confused, the American people seem to understand this pretty well.  One would think that a President savaged by the MSM, Hollywood and grandstanding Democrats including FORMER President Obama would be shredding public support.  Instead the opposite is happening.  When anyone bothers to ask people outside of the class of clowns they are shocked to discover that most people agree with Trump.  Yes, we have sympathy for the 12 year old girl trying to get out of Yemen, but we also have sympathy for the people killed in Orlando and San Bernardino by Muslim terrorists.  It is insanely stupid to believe that there is no threat from Muslim terrorist trying to sneak into the country as refugees. They have literally promised to do exactly that and they have been far too successful in Europe.  It is even more stupid to believe that the Obama administration had thoroughly vetted those thousands of refugees.

The MSM is brilliant at finding the showcase immigrant obviously above suspicion.  They are willfully blind to the threat of terrorists willing to pay any price to inflict damage on us.  Are they really too stupid to realize that people who will film their children wearing suicide vests and cutting the heads off Christians can look a lot like a normal family to the uninformed?  Are they really too naïve to understand that the real threat does not come from those look like role models for Terrorist GQ.  It is the ones who do not look like a threat that is most dangerous?  Sadly, they are exactly that stupid.

Watch the performance by those Hollywood liberals, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.  It soon becomes obvious that these are the tears of a clown, but nothing about this is funny.  By the way, the circus is rapidly becoming an outdated relic of history.

This report is from the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. California is underfunded by about $1.2 trillion (yes trillion) necessary to fund the retirement tab for state and local employees.  Since the total revenue for the state is about $123 billion per year, this means there is zero chance the state can pay these benefits.  Even if they took every dime the state collects for the next 10 years, it would not be enough to cover the deficit.  They can’t even hope to pay the deficit they admit is there, let alone the actual deficit revealed in this report.  What could make this worse?  Easy!  Imagine these vital funds managed by political appointees, notoriously corrupt, with a mandate to invest in poor performing global warming ventures.  In other words, just when the state desperately needs to be really smart about investing the limited assets available to deal with this, we have the worst possible people in charge.  Does anyone really think this is going to work?

By the way, even without this unfunded deficit, the state is already running out of money.

Democrats have been ignoring this storm for decades. Every year the decision is made to kick the can a little farther down the road.  California, unlike the United States Government, cannot ignore the problem by just printing money.  This means sooner, rather than later, the California budget is going to look a lot like Puerto-Rico or Greece and they are going to come to Washington, D.C. with hat in hand begging for a bail out.  Don’t expect President Donald Trump or the Republican congress to feel all that warm and fuzzy about this. How do you think the rest of the country is going to feel about bailing out California so that public sector employees can have their luxury retirement?

The inevitable result is going to be massive cuts to retirement benefits promised to public sector employees, accompanied by massive tax increases on everyone else. This is not going to play well in Peoria or anyplace else.  The blame for this is going to fall primarily on Democrats because the price for absolute power is absolute blame.  Margaret Thatcher once said that liberalism always fails because eventually they run out of other people’s money.  That will happen in California faster than you can blink.

The end of never is just around the corner.

This last election taught us an important lesson.  Barry Goldwater tried to warn us back in 1964, but we did not listen.

How would you describe this better than: “demanding the right to enforce their own version of heaven on earth?”

How better than to describe this than “conformity” which leads to “despotism.” Combine with a MSM ready, willing and able to ignore the obvious and embrace the ridiculous.  Add in possibly the most corrupt candidate for President in the history of the U.S.; a candidate who openly said that she would appoint a Supreme Court Justice who would focus more on her version of “heaven on earth” than the outdated Constitution.

We dodged a bullet here.  But this victory will be short lived if we fail to recognize the threat.  Liberals are not going to leave quietly.  We have not been at war with them, but they have most definitely been at war with us.  If we do not defeat them, they will never stop until they have replaced our democracy with tyranny.  They have no interest in compromising with us or even tolerating us.  This may be our last chance to restore the rule of law, separation of power and true liberty for all.

But that is only possible if we come to grips with a cold hard truth.  Liberals can never again be trusted with power.  We cannot compromise with those who simply do not accept our most basic values.  We dare not even attempt to negotiate with those who are only interested in destroying us. We must defeat them.  We must defeat them by appointing judges, at all levels, who will honor the constitution.  We must defeat them by putting in fair election reforms that guarantee free elections where every eligible citizen has an equal chance to vote and every vote has equal value. Those who do not believe in voter fraud are simply not paying attention to places like New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Are we really naïve enough to believe that 81% of the people in New York City voted for Barack Obama and 79% voted for Hillary Clinton?  The only place(s) on this earth where one candidate gets that kind of majority vote is a dictatorship and a metropolitan area run by a Democratic machine.

The only thing necessary for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing.  You’ve been warned.

The DOJ Inspector General has been given the assignment of investigatiing broad allegations of misconduct involving the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton.

This is an obvious effort by the Obama administration to sweep the Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal under the rug and throw James Comey under the bus. The marching orders are obviously designed to do exactly that:

My best guess is that this is the strategy developed by the Obama administration to protect Hillary without having to explain a pardon.

Just when you think the Obama administration could not possibly do more damage to the country, they do this. Sadly, no one in the MSM will even notice. It will be very interesting to see how Donald Trump responds. Next Friday cannot get here soon enough.   The mosting important thing to remember at this point is that in 7 days and 7 hours, Barack Obama will be permanently out of office, totally incapable of this kind of nonsense.

The Obama administration is so convinced that Russia intervened in our election that he kicked out 35 diplomats and announced new sanctions. The story was always suspicious. Even the Rolling Stone noticed:

All of the U.S. intelligence agencies agreed that it was Russia. Then we started to hear from private industry official, like John McAfee in an interview with Larry King:

There were more. They not only disagreed with our intelligence services, they literally laughed at them. Then Sean Hannity secured and interview with Julianne Assange, who runs WikiLeaks. Assange, who actually released the e-mails, said they weren’t from Russia. And then he said that John Podesta’s password was “password.”

Notice that the MSM has totally moved on from the Russia hacked the election mode. They never admitted the entire story was a hoax, they just moved on to the next anti-Trump story. The latest is that Trump won’t be able to handle tough questions at a news conference. This, of course, was on a show anchored by Don Lemon. That would be the same Don Lemon who got drunk on the air New Year’s eve, got his ear pierced live on national television, screamed about getting blood on his shirt and then had his mic cut off by CNN when he started going on a drunken rant.

Just when you though it could not possibly get any worse, it got worse. The liberal left is literally melting down life on TV. CNN, the most trusted name in NEWS, got beat in the ratings last year by HGTV. Liberal Democrats, led by Senator Chuck Schumer are threatening to delay hearings on eight cabinet appointments until March and to block ANY Supreme Court nominee by Trump. This is a huge mistake and it is another reminder that Democrats are incapable to accepting election results they don’t like. They are missing something really important. Republicans didn’t just win the Presidency, the House and the Senate last November. They have been decimating Democrats across the country. The following two graphs tell the tale.

This actually explains why Democrats believe the Russians are coming. The entire country is turning deep red and Democrats have been pushed out to the extreme left coast and the ever isolated and out of touch North East.
