Other than the little guy taking a bath in a kitchen sink, I am not a big fan of rats.  They smell bad, spread disease and don’t appear to have a constructive role in the environment.  But they are very good at one thing.  They let you know if things are really, really, bad.  When the rats start deserting the ship, the end is near.

The rats are deserting the FBI ship.  Every day more and more documents are surfacing.  Each one is increasingly bad for the liberal left, the Clintons and Obama.  Remember all those documents proving collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia?  Probably not, because there aren’t any.  Zero, nada, zip, zilch.  Remember all those text messages between the Trump campaign and Russia?  Probably not, because there aren’t any.  Zero, nada, zip, zilch.

Just this week two more senior FBI officials decided to quit.  It is interesting to note that this is the second wave.  There were reports of a previous wave of resignations at the FBI in October 2016.

I don’t usually post articles by WND, but this one makes a lot of sense in view of recent revelations.  It appears that Comey was under tremendous pressure by both sides.  Career FBI agents wanted him to indict Hillary Clinton.  Loretta Lynch and Obama were allegedly furious with him for reporting on the Hillary Clinton e-mails.  The article even says Lynch’s own wife was pissed at him.

This begs the question.  Who is James Comey and at what point will he be tempted to tell the truth.  Everyone is assuming that his cryptic texts were aimed at Peter Strzok et al protecting the cover-up.  But what if he was writing about the people who were exposing the cover-up.  Comey clearly dropped the ball, but this may be much more complex than anyone imagines.

Yesterday the FBI informant agent on Uranium One testified for the first time.  It does not appear that anyone other than Fox News noticed.  He testified in front of three Congressional committees, the Senate Judiciary, House Oversight and House Intelligence.  Sara Carter reported on this.  Her source is impeccable, it is the attorney for Mr. Campbell:

“He recounted numerous times that the Russians bragged that the Clintons’ influence in the Obama administration would ensure CIFIUS approval for Uranium One. And he was right.

The immediate problem is that this looks and smells like the truth.  It is hard to imagine Russia giving all those millions to the Clinton Foundation and paying Bill Clinton $500,000 for one speech if they did not believe this.  Since the deal was approved it is hard to argue they were wrong.

The significance of this is earthshattering.  It is hard to describe this as other than treason.  How, exactly, could one do more damage to our national security than to help Russia secure our Uranium under false pretenses?  If the reports are accurate it is worst than that.  This uranium may have been sold to Iran to help them develop nuclear weapons they promise to use against us.

That begs the question: “what would it take for the main stream media to bother reporting on this?”

Perhaps I am wrong, but I suspect that FBI Director Christopher Wray, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Sessions are engaged in criminal investigations that are likely to result in result in indictments, trials and likely imprisonment.

We always knew the main stream media was hopelessly biased.  Now we’re confronted with the reality that their bias may be exceeded by their incompetence.  They are literally blind to the obvious.

Fox News was delivering bombshell reports every Friday.  Now they seem to happen every day.  The Main stream media has no news at all so it re-runs old discredited stories and pretends they are breaking news.  Things are starting to move faster and faster.  It is only a matter of time before the next news report is of someone being frog marched out of the room after being served with an indictment.  At that point even, the main stream media will notice, but it will be far too late.

My brother Doug once built a boomerang from a design published in Popular Science.  He just missed one minor detail.  The Popular Science boomerang was made out of balsa wood.  We lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where there was no balsa wood.  So my brother made his out of oak.  We went to the local ball field where Doug stood on home plate and threw the boomerang toward center field, it was a beautiful thing, until it climbed rapidly, then turned around and took direct aim at us.  We both ran for cover from a boomerang that had morphed into a deadly weapon.  Democrats know that feeling today.

The whole point of the Russian Collusion investigation was to dig up dirt on Donald Trump.  First, to prevent him from getting elected.  Second, when that failed, to remove him from office.  Ironically this all started when John Conyers, Jr. and Elijah E. Cummings asked Michael E. Horowitz, Inspector General of the DOJ to investigate FBI leaks about the Hillary e-mail scandal.

Today, a text between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page was released which laid this scandal directly at the feet of the President of the United States.  However, the President in trouble is not Donald Trump, it is Barack Obama.  This is reported on numerous websites:

It there is any corroborating evidence, this means the President of the United States, Barack Obama, was guilty of obstructing justice and of lying to the American people.  Obama’s own public statements to Chris Wallace during an interview are an admission that he knew it would be obstruction of justice for him to be involved in the Hillary Clinton e-mail case:

WALLACE: “Even if she ends up as the Democratic nominee?” 

OBAMA: “How many times do I have to say it, Chris? Guaranteed.”

I wonder how CNN is going to spin this one.  The real problem for Democrats is that this is so obviously true.  This is more than a stain on President Obama, it is a stain on the main stream media.  The media that refused to even consider the possibility that Obama was abusing power, even though there was a mountain of evidence.  The media that was more than willing to accuse Donald Trump of something, nearly every day since he was elected President of the United States.  This is about to go off like a nuclear bomb and it is impossible to predict the full extent of the damage.

There is ton of high level blood in the water and the sharks are already circling.  We are about to see a full-fledged feeding frenzy that will make Watergate look under reported.  Many people have assumed that Hillary Clinton would get away with it, again.  I wouldn’t take that bet this morning.

Official DOJ policy is to not record witness interviews.  Seriously?  At a time when almost every police car has a dash cam and many officers are wearing body cams the FBI is relying on hand written notes and selective memory.  That is absurd.

Now combine that with hints that the FBI may have deliberately altered a 302:

It gets worse.  It turns out the FISA warrant against Carter Page was a Title 1 FISA warrant.

 To spy on Americans through a FISA court, the FBI must show the target is an “agent of a foreign power,” not merely in contact with a foreign power. The law makes it difficult to show someone is an “agent of a foreign power” to make sure it is not misused to spy on Americans.

The law does not allow the FBI to call an American an “agent of a foreign power” unless they can show the person “knowingly engages in clandestine intelligence gathering activities for or on behalf of a foreign power” AND the nature of their activity is criminalized.

If it is true that the FBI deliberately filed false information to get a Title 1 FISA Warrant and they may have deliberately redacted a 302, this could have a significant impact on a lot of cases.  In 2010 the SFPD Crime Lab had to be shut down because one employee went rogue and compromised the lab:

No wonder the FBI desperately tried to suppress the Nunes FISA memo.

Predictably the main stream media is either oblivious to the obvious or they simply do not care.  They should care.  We should all care.  Remember this all started when Devin Nunes reported that our intelligence agencies were unmasking intelligence reports on U.S. citizens.  A Title 1 warrant would allow surveillance of anyone who had any contact with Carter Page.  Since he was a minor member of the Trump campaign, this may have been used to authorize surveillance on the entire campaign staff.

This explains why Devin Nunes spent so much time on one FISA warrant.  It is why Democrats are so desperate to discredit him.  If Hillary Clinton had been elected President, we would know none of this.  This is all going to come out, sooner rather than later because for the first time the main stream media is admitting something is important.  Even their attempts to discredit the memo are very dangerous for those involved because Democrats cannot survive a real investigation.  At some point the truth will become obvious even to those currently trying desperately to ignore it.

The entire main stream media is finally reporting on the FISA warrant issued to conduct surveillance on Carter Page.  That alone is devastating to Democrats, because for the first time it is universally acknowledged that this is significant.  The problem before was that the main stream media did zero investigation.  Nothing negative about Democrats mattered.  Everything negative about Donald Trump was a crisis.  They can no longer do that after the weeklong hissy fit they threw to try and block this memo from becoming public.  Now they are trying to discredit the memo.  If it turns out the memo is accurate then the mainstream media has crawled way out on a limb and then cut if off underneath themselves.

Adam Schiff and other Democrats claim that the following statement in the Nunes memo is inaccurate:

Here is what Nunes says in his memo:

“Furthermore, Deputy Director McCabe testified before the Committee in December 2017 that no surveillance warrant would have been sought from the FISC without the Steele dossier information.”

The problem for Democrats is that they have just made this statement even more important.  They are betting the farm on this and it looks like a dumb bet.  Numerous Republicans who attended this hearing say that this statement accurate.  They report that McCabe said this several times.  That is consistent with the leaks that came out after this hearing.

McCabe told the panel that the FBI worked hard “to verify the contents of the anti-Trump ‘dossier’ and stood by its credibility.  However, he could not tell the lawmakers if “the bureau had been able to verify the substantive allegations in the dossier, or even identify a substantive allegation that had been corroborated.”

When asked which part of the dossier was true, McCabe only pointed to the part “that the unpaid, low-level Trump foreign policy advisor Cater Page visited Moscow in July 2016.

McCabe could not remember when he learned that the Hillary Clinton campaign had funded the dossier.

No one even hinted that McCabe said the Russia Dossier wasn’t important, instead he said he stood by its credibility.  That is totally inconsistent with the Schiff theory that the Russian Dossier wasn’t material to the FISA warrant.  Why would McCabe be desperate to defend a document that didn’t matter?  Conversely, Schiff arguing that the Russian Dossier wasn’t necessary to get the warrant is an admission that the Russian Dossier has zero credibility.

Nunes says he is open to releasing the transcript of Andrew McCabe’s testimony about the FISA application.  Once again it looks like the Republicans are the ones who have the facts and the Democrats are the ones resorting to smoke and mirror.  The big difference is that now even Democrats admit that if Nunes is right, the FBI colluded with the Hillary Clinton campaign to obtain an illegal FISA warrant and that is extremely important.  For the first time in years, the main stream media is admitting that a Democratic scandal is a big deal.

By the way, McCabe is lawyering up and there are reports that Christopher Wray has a “newly minted and hush internal task force.”

That makes sense because Wray doesn’t want another special counsel and if he isn’t outraged by what McCabe did, he should be.

Democrats cannot survive a real investigation regarding a lot of things.  The main stream media has been looking the other way for all things Obama and Clinton for a long time.  Those days are over and that is the more than significant.

Democrats have been describing the release of the Nunes memo as a clear and present danger to the United States. In doing this, they just magnified the significance of the memo. We can expect a Democratic memo trying to repair the damage, but this is likely to consist primarily of other documents that are actually irrelevant. For example Peter Strzok did help write the second letter Comey released regarding the Hillary Clinton e-mails. Democrats argue that this proves he was not pro-Hillary. It is an absurd argument likely to be ignored by everyone but CNN.

The bottom line is this. The Hillary Clinton campaign paid Fusion GPS for the Russia Dossier. This was compiled by Christopher Steele, who is on the record as despising Trump and being desperate to prevent him from being President. Steele met with Yahoo news and leaked the same information to them that he typed in his dossier. The New York Times published a story reporting these “facts” from an unnamed source. The FBI used this dossier to get a FISA warrant to spy on Carter Page which allowed them to spy on the entire Trump campaign and transition team. They also cited the New York Times article, based on the same questionable source, as corroborating evidence in support of the FISA warrant. Many of the “sources” used by Steele were paid informants with direct connections with Russia. In summary this is smoking gun evidence that the Hillary Clinton campaign colluded with Russia to influence a Presidential election.

Expect a lot of smoke and mirrors from CNN. They had Jane Harman and Mike Rogers on today, both trying to defend the intelligence agencies. However, neither of them described this chain of events as remotely acceptable. Neither of them disputed any of the facts. They were only upset that this impugned the integrity of the system itself. But Nunes did not impugn the entire system; he just said that in this specific instance the system was abused by senior members of the FBI. Mike Rogers said that if the FISA court believes that they were misled by the FBI, they will be absolutely furious. I think that will be the next shoe to drop. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the FISA court respond very strongly to this memo. Don’t be surprised if they throw Andrew McCabe under the bus. If it is a choice between defending the court’s integrity and the integrity of Andrew McCabe, the decision will be really easy.

Democrats are also arguing about what McCabe actually testified to in a closed-door hearing. One will note just this week Adam Schiff materially misrepresented what was said in an Intelligence Committee meeting only to be rebuked by the actual transcript. CNN would be wise to avoid getting out over its skis on anything said by Adam Schiff. In addition, Nunes has a copy of the actual FISA warrant so he KNOWS the facts here. It is unlikely that the exact words spoken by McCabe are even material. The FISA warrant speaks for itself.

What will ultimately make this worse is that Republicans appear to be sitting on a mountain of evidence of abuse by the FBI and other intelligence agencies and this appears to be the tip of the iceberg. The captain of the Titanic can provide guidance on the dangers of ignoring the size of an iceberg.

Panic did not seem to be a strong enough word to describe the liberal left today.  So, I used a Vietnamese word that is more exact.  Hoảng means panic-stricken -frightened out of one’s wits. Loạn means to be in disorder and confused.  Translated, liberals are scared Schiffless and making huge mistakes.

Devin Nunes wrote a memo.  Republicans who have seen it describe it as a bombshell.  Previously liberals and the main stream media just ignored facts that didn’t fit the narrative.  James Comey said Hillary Clinton was “extremely careless” regarding classified information.  The MSM just yawned.  Hillary’s campaign paid for the Russia Dossier.  So what?  Russia contributed millions to the Clinton Foundation and paid Bill Clinton $500,000 for a speech just prior to the Uranium One deal.  Why would anyone consider this evidence of collusion between Russia and Hillary Clinton?  No one disputed any of these, they just decided it didn’t matter.

That is what I expected this time.  I thought Nunes would release his memo, the MSM would yawn and ask: “is this all there is?” So what if the FBI tried to stop Trump from becoming President?  Liberals would consider that an act of patriotism.

This time, however, they switched gears.  They, actually Adam Schiff, decided this Nunes memo is so terrible it must never be seen by the American Public.  Schiff is engaged in a desperate Don Quixote type campaign to block you and anyone else from seeing this memo.  He fears this more than the black plague.  He tried desperately to prevent the intelligence committee from even seeing the docs used to write this memo.  He clearly was caught off guard. That is because Nunes set up a Republican only team to review the evidence Schiff wanted to ignore.  Nunes learned the hard way that he could not trust democrats on the Intelligence Committee and he sure couldn’t trust Adam Schiff.  Based on the way Schiff is acting now, Nunes was obviously right about that.

The problem is that Schiff’s Shtick struck out.  While CNN, and the rest of the MSM bought this hook, line and sinker, the people who matter didn’t.  If anything, the clear panic now on display only encourages the Trump administration to make this memo public.  It does more than that.  It puts the MSM in a position where they cannot just ignore this.  They can, and will, try to discredit it, but they can’t ignore it.  Hence the problem.  If there is anything close to a serious investigation regarding weaponization of the FBI and our intelligence agencies for political purposes; then a mountain of incriminating information is likely to surface.  This just may be accompanied by a MSM feeding frenzy we haven’t seen in years.  A lot of FBI agents you never heard of will become whistleblowing media stars.  The MSM will experience unprecedented embarrassment that they have bought and reported on so many patently absurd allegations.  They are likely to respond with absolute fury.  This could get very ugly. Or, if you’re like me, this may turn out to be a beautiful thing.

Yesterday I was at the gym, watching Fox News.  Right next to that TV was one showing Anderson Cooper on CNN.  It was so bad that I couldn’t resist watching.  Adam Schiff was in full attack mode and Anderson Cooper was drinking in the Kool-Aid.

Here is an example of what Schiff said:

“It’s a really disgraceful act, in my view, to make partisan and political the declassification process, and I think it’s what you see when you have a flawed president infecting the whole of government.  It’s apolitical.  This is a continuation of the effort to protect the president’s hide.”

I couldn’t help but note the extreme bias toward Donald Trump followed by sanctimonious whining about partisan politics.  Does even Schiff believe what he says anymore?

Schiff said that Nunes had not read all the details behind the controversial secret memo.  Schiff said that Nunes ”cherry-picked” information without reading all the source material.  The committee received mountains of evidence.  It is ludicrous to expect Nunes to read every single document.  What Schiff did not say was that Nunes had any facts wrong.

Schiff neglected to tell Cooper that he had refused to let Republicans read his memo.

SCHIFF:  GOP HAS VOTED TO “POLITICIZE” INTELLIGENCE; WE HAVE CROSSED A DEEPLY REGRETTABLE LINE.”

This is ironic when the memo documents the FBI misusing intelligence to interfere with a presidential campaign.  Apparently one only cross the line if one is critical of Democrats.

This caused me to wonder how many times Schiff can burn CNN with utter nonsense before they stop taking the bait.  The next guest on Anderson Cooper was a Republican and he immediately discredited most of what Schiff said.

FBI Director Christopher Wray viewed this memo and there are reports he was outraged.  That seems to be true, because less that 12 hours later Andrew McCabe was shown the door. Wray did not dispute any facts, he just asked for the opportunity to have additional staff review the information.  Perhaps people like Andrew McCabe were telling Wray he needed to trust them only to have Wray discover, the hard way, that he couldn’t trust them at all.

All you really need to know is this.  Republicans want to release the memo and all the supporting documentation.  Democrats want to suppress the memo and to block release of supporting documents.  It is easy to see who has the facts and who is terrified of the facts.

It looks like this is all going to be put on public display, sooner rather than later.  If Republicans are right, Adam Schiff has been full of Schiff from day one in a deliberate attempt to obfuscate and confuse.  If CNN also realizes they have been had, we could see: GOOD NIGHT SCHIFF.  That would be a beautiful thing.

Devin Nunes wrote a four page memo summarizing the findings by Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee regarding alleged abuse of FISA warrants.  For months Republicans met, without any Democratic participation, because they clearly do not trust Democrats on the committee, particularly Adam Schiff.

Adam Schiff sued to prevent his own committee from getting access to the documents.  Now he is trying to prevent disclose of the memo.  He is also allegedly writing his own version of events.

This memo has been made available to every member of the House, in a secure facility.  Nearly every Republican has viewed this memo.  Only have handful of Democrats have bothered. Almost everyone who has actually seen the document has described it as shocking and jaw dropping.

There are numerous reports that at 5:00 p.m. today the House Intelligence Committee will vote to release this memo.  President Trump is not expected to resist release of this memo.

Yesterday, FBI Director Christopher Wray viewed this document in a secure facility on Capitol Hill.  He was asked if any of the information was incorrect.  Wray said he would want this reviewed by the FBI, but he did not point out any obvious errors.

Today, Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe resigned effective immediately and left FBI headquarters.  He will use his vacation day to get paid up until March, so he can retire with full benefits.  Is this a coincidence?

The main stream media that wants to believe McCabe, who is as pure as the driven snow, resigned because Trump said mean things about him on twitter.

Every single senior FBI official serving under James Comey when he was fired has now been removed from power.  CNN wondered if this was because of pressure from Trump, ignoring the fact that these people were removed because of conflicts of interest documented in their own e-mails and text messages.

We are once again reminded that the President of the United States knows things we don’t know.  Most people ignored a public comment by Donald Trump recently:

I watched a panel on CNN, accidently, for about five minutes while working out at the club.  I learned about this comment by Trump from Jeffrey Tobin.  Tobin has been one of the fiercest critics of Trump.  In May 2017, Tobin exploded with outrage because Trump fired James Comey:

“a grotesque abuse of power by the president of the United States.  This is the kind of thing that goes on in non-democracies.”

Last night Tobin was clearly shocked when he reflected on this comment by Trump.  It was like he understood, for the first time, that Trump has a legitimate point.  The liberal left is quick to believe anything that fits within their narrative.  In May 2017, James Comey was the shining knight trying to deal with an irresponsible president.  Tobin probably believed there had been collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.  Today, even Jeffrey Tobin would not attempt to defend that narrative.  Instead Tobin is confronted with mounting evidence that James Comey was Director of an FBI that was trying to overthrow a U.S. President.  The only real question is whether Comey was complicit or was merely incompetent.  All the things being documented by the numerous investigations took place while Comey was in charge.  Trump not only had a right to fire Comey, he may have had a duty to fire Comey.

We do not know what information Trump had available when he fired Comey.  He only mentioned the letters from Rosenstein and Sessions supporting his decision.  There is a lot we don’t know and a lot we will never.  We do know this.  Trump said he was justified because he was fighting back.  He said he was looking forward to talking, under oath, with Robert Mueller. In most cases, this type of interview is a perjury trap because the Special Counsel knows things you don’t know.  But this time the opposite may be true.  Trump may know things that Mueller doesn’t know.  He may have documentation Mueller has never seen.

We know that the FBI is desperately pleading to see the memo from Nunes.  This means the FBI does NOT know what information is in those House Intelligence Committee files.  Assistant Attorney General Stephan Boyd said: “Indeed, we do not understand why the committee would possibly seek to disclose classified and law enforcement sensitive information without first consulting with the relevant members of the intelligence community.”

The response from the House Intelligence committee was that they cannot trust the FBI.  The FBI has been stonewalling congress on numerous requests for documents for months and just recently said they had accidentally failed to preserve thousands of critical text messages.  If news reports are accurate, someone found those messages almost instantly when Attorney General Jeff Sessions ordered an investigation.

The are always three sides to every political story.  The Republican version of events, the Democratic version of events, and the truth.  This time we know who is trying to release information and who is trying to block the release of information.  That should be a gigantic hint over who has facts supporting their case and who does not.
