I grew up a Detroit Lions fan.  Anyone remotely familiar with the Detroit lions knows they are famous for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.  My wife is a Buffalo Bills fan.  They have perfected the art of the miraculous loss. That is why BILLS is an acronym for “Boy I Love Losing Superbowls.”  Of course now they would love to get another chance to lose a Superbowl.

But neither of them can compare to the Republican establishment.  There is pure panic at the prospect of Donald Trump or Ted Cruz winning the nomination.  That just reminds me of why either one would be a better choice than another RINO.

The Republican establishment is desperately trying to make an issue out of whether or not Ted Cruz is eligible to be President. This is beyond ridiculous and is a sure sign of desperation.  Ted Cruz is clearly a natural born citizen.  No responsible legal scholar would dispute that. If you want to find a candidate who does have eligibility issues, check out Marco Rubio.  He was born in the U.S., but neither of his parents were U.S. citizens at the time. If Cruz has a problem, Rubio has a bigger problem. The Republican establish obviously prefers Rubio, so they don’t care.  Donald Trump doesn’t think Rubio is a threat, so he doesn’t care either.

RINOs are prepared to pour a record amount of money on advertising in Iowa and New Hampshire in a last ditch effort to save the day.  Apparently saving the day means anyone other than Donald Trump or Ted Cruz.  The establishment is almost foaming at the mouth with hatred for Ted Cruz. If only they showed such passion when taking on liberal Democrats!

This is actually good news for Ted Cruz because I suspect this is going to backfire big time.  This is the year when everyone is angry.  The highest possible compliment anyone can give to Ted Cruz is to remind people that he is not part of the establishment. I wonder if the RINOs realize that.

There was a time when most of us got our information from the network news and the newspaper.  If it wasn’t printed in the New York Times, it didn’t matter.  The network news had people like Walter Cronkite, Harry Reason, Chet Huntly, Frank Reynolds, and John Chancellor.  They were people we trusted.  We were probably wrong about that, as in retrospect the bias was always there, but we trusted them.   We were also either Democrats or Republicans.   We had faith in the political parties, although that was probably misguided as well.

Today the biggest political party is the independent.  It is probably worse than that.  For example I know a lot of Republicans who are not exactly thrilled at the Republican Party.  I am sure there are a lot of Democrats who are less than enthusiastic about the Democratic Party.  That means the true percentage of people who consider themselves independent is probably even higher.

Today 53% of Democrats would support Hillary Clinton, even if she is indicted.  That is less scary when you realize only 15.37% of the population is actually that stupid.  This explains why the top two Republican candidates are Donald Trump and Ted Cruz.  Donald Trump is running on a campaign of a pox on both houses.  Ted Cruz, while a Republican Senator, is despised by the Republican establishment because he doesn’t play the game.  It explains why Bernie Sanders, a 74 year old wild-eyed socialist trapped in the 60’s may beat Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primaries.

This poll has an error rate of about 1%.  It is about as accurate as a poll can get.  The Democratic Party is in deep doo doo and the Republican Party is on life support. The only thing certain is that things are going to change more than anyone predicts.

One final thought.  I was in the USAFSS so I am very familiar with signals intelligence and the importance of protecting it.  Everyone knows that everyone is spying on everyone else.  The big secret is what we know and what we don’t know.  That is why release of signals intelligence analysis is so dangerous.  There was a recent article alleging that Sidney Blumenthal had access to NSA analysis.  It is hard to imagine how he could have got that without help from Hillary Clinton.  If that report is accurate, it will be impossible for anyone to control the coming explosion.  Hell hath no fury like an intelligence community betrayed by its own leaders.

Joe Biden is saying he regrets his decision to not run for President:

Why would he say this?  If the conventional wisdom is accurate, Hillary Clinton has smooth sailing to the nomination.  Biden knows that he would have no chance of getting the nomination if Hillary is in the race.  That is why he didn’t run in the first place.  Something has changed his mind.  Perhaps he believes Hillary’s days are numbered.  The latest e-mail dump includes one that could be beyond devastating.

Or perhaps, he has Democratic fat cats whispering in his ear.  In spite of the stupid things said publicly, one must assume that at least some top Democrats are no fools.  They have to know that Hillary is in deep trouble.  She could easily lose the nomination to Bernie Sanders who is likely to get slaughtered in a national election.  Would it be a surprise to learn that some of them are reaching out to Biden and asking him if he is interested?  Biden looks like a really bad option, until you look at the rest of the Democratic bench.  I doubt that anyone is really enthusiastic about Biden as a candidate, but we may be close to the “any port in a storm” stage.

Donald Trump is attacking Ted Cruz because he was born in Canada.  John McCain, who was born in the Panama Canal, also brought it up.  This is clear evidence that both Donald Trump and the Republican establishment are terrified by Ted Cruz.

They would not be doing this if their internal polls were not showing some very scary results.  This is nothing short of a desperate Hail Mary attempt to slow down a strong movement toward Ted Cruz.  If this is all they got, they got nothing.  This could seriously backfire.  .  It could even help Cruz by cementing his reputation as outside the establishment.  This is not only a cheap shot; it is an embarrassingly inept cheap shot.

Donald Trump has recently started to downplay expectations in Iowa.  This is a good indication that his staff has warned him that he is likely to lose there.

I don’t know who is winning at this point, but it is pretty obvious who is starting to show signs of fop sweat.

Some have questioned the sincerity of the tears from President Obama yesterday.  They missed the point.  The tears are all too genuine, but what matters is the reason for the tears.  With Obama, everything is always and only about himself.  That is why he used the word “I” more than 75 times.  It is hard to believe that Obama shed those tears because of his compassion for the victims of a mass murder.  He has been remarkably incapable of expressing compassion for anyone else.  It seems more likely that he shed those tears for himself.

The end is near for Obama and he knows it.  He may be planning a glorious permanent golf vacation in Hawaii funded by U.S. taxpayers, but it is not what he wants.  He wants to be the focus of everyone’s attention.  It is not clear he wants the job of being President, but he absolutely wants the glory of being President.  In many ways this is similar to what Bill Clinton said upon leaving office, when in a moment of weakness he told the truth:

“I may not have been the greatest president, but I’ve had the most fun eight years.” –Bill Clinton

The future looks bleak for Barack Obama.  His power is already evaporating and it will completely disappear the day he leaves office.  The tears are because he knows that.  They are the tears of frustration.  They are the tears of abandonment, again. Obama enduring a childhood filled with repeated rejection and abandonment.  He was abandoned by his father from day one. He was rejected by his mother who sent him to live with her parents in Hawaii. She showed up later, stayed only a few months, then abandoned again and moved back to Indonesia.  In desperation his grandparents found a black friend to be Obama’s mentor.  This turned out to be Frank Marshall Davis, a card carrying communist, and a very bitter bi-sexual pedophile.  If you can stomach it, read the poem “Pops” written by Barack Obama while he was at Columbia.  That poem says a lot about Frank Marshal Davis:

Hillary Clinton assumed that bringing Bill Clinton out to campaign would rally the troops around the flag.  It was a huge mistake.  Both Hillary and Bill have been asked blunt questions about Bills horrific personal history.  When Bill Clinton was confronted you could see that he was really shocked.  He quickly recovered and gave a non-answer answer, but it was obvious that he was surprised.  Then there are these great pictures of the women standing behind Bill on the stage.  Of course no American media outlet is reporting this, but the DailyMail.com is on it:

Hillary has found out what Republican candidates already knew.  Attacking Donald Trump is more likely to result in self-destruction than to hurt Trump.  Trump is extremely good at throwing a counter punch.  He literally ripped the sex card out of Hillary’s hand.

I don’t think we are going to see Bill Clinton out on the campaign trail anytime soon.  This is a really big problem for Hillary.  If she hadn’t married Bill Clinton no one would know anything about Hillary Rodham.  She was a mediocre lawyer who couldn’t even make partner in the Rose Law firm until after Bill Clinton was elected Governor of Arkansas.  There is no way she can win the Presidency if people view her as anyone other than Hillary Clinton.  It is a liberal myth that Hillary is just as sharp as Bill Clinton.  This is not even close.  But now, Bill Clinton has been exposed as damaged goods and he may be doing more harm than good.  Hillary has already announced that she has made a New Year’s resolution to ignore Donald Trump.  That is nothing short of waving the white flag of surrender.  This reminds me of watching a White Tail deer depart the scene when frightened.  In this case we are seeing a White Tail Dear.

Bill Cosby has finally been indicted.  The main stream media is horrified at the allegations.  Yet, many of these stories are not exactly new.  They were just ignored by those who would not see.  That is typical with the main stream media.  If they like someone, like a Bill Cosby, they just ignore the obvious.  They would never ignore this if the person was, gasp, a Republican.  At the first hint of scandal they would have been all over it.

Sadly a large group of people was ready, willing and able to cover this up.  Bill Cosby brought a lot of people money and power.  Nothing else mattered.  Bill Cosby is likely to receive some form of justice, but we should also be heaping mountains of shame on those who let this happen.

Next in line for scrutiny is Bill Clinton.  So far there are 14, that’s right folks 14, women who have made at least some allegation of sexual misconduct by Bill Clinton.  That number is likely to change overnight.  Once women realize that they can safely surface with their Bill Clinton stories we are likely to be shocked at the volume.  We can be sure that many of them already have Gloria Allred on speed dial.  This is going to be a very Happy New Year for Gloria.

Bill Clinton was a friend of Jeffrey Epstein.  Epstein pled guilty in June 2008 to two state felony charges relating to prostitution.  This was the ultimate plea deal, clearly designed by everyone involved, including the U.S. Attorney’s office in southern Florida to keep a massive scandal under wraps.  Just last summer a Judge unsealed more details about this mess:

The media cannot ignore him.  Even CNN has agreed that Bill Clinton’s sex life is now fair game.  This is going to get ugly very fast.  Keep the children away from watching the news because, once again, Bill Clinton stories are going to flood the airways with the vile and disgusting.  A high percentage of liberal Democrats still won’t care.

Some of you are probably wondering how Donald Trump manages to be the ultimate Teflon candidate.  Perhaps we can take a clue from the fact that Trump owns hotels and casinos all over the world.  He owns the places where the rich and famous go to play.  What does Trump know?  It boggles the mind.

I had trouble sleeping last night, so in a moment of desperation I turned on CNN.  I surprised to hear the panel discussing Bill Clinton’s sexual misconduct and how it relates to Hillary Clinton.  While one of the panelists opined that Hillary should get a pass as a wife in love with her husband just trying to save her marriage the others just laughed.  The abandoned and abused woman routine isn’t that compelling when one is running for Commander in Chief.  But then I realized that, at least among Democrats, none of this will matter.  Hillary will probably rise in Democratic polls because the more Republicans criticize her, with or without merit, the more Democrats rally around her. When you think about it, this is exactly what happens when anyone criticizes Donald Trump. There is something compelling about the person under assault who refuses to yield an inch.

If we end up with a Trump vs Hillary contest we may have an Pepto-Bismol election, where the party able to get more of their people sick to their stomach at the prospect of voting for either of these clowns to stagger to the voting both and pull the lever for the lessor of two evils wins.

But then I realized something else.  Republicans, not named Donald Trump, have resorted to attacking each other.  There is one exception.  Ted Cruz rarely attacks anyone.  Recently all the other also-rans have started attacking him. I suspect this will back fire big time and will result in a Trump vs Cruz battle for the nomination. I am not sure Trump would mind.  Sometimes I wonder if Trump even wants to be President.  I mean why take such a huge cut in pay?  Would Trump really sell off his empire in exchange for being President?

Ted Cruz is an interesting guy.  He has managed to become absolutely loathed by the establishment in both parties.  Republicans are disgusted because he embarrasses them by forcing them to take the same stand on issues in congress they take during election cycles.  Democrats loathe him because he has often been the principle roadblock in their path to victory.  In other words, politicians in both parties hate him because he stands on principle.  This is like the kid in high school who not only refuses to cheat on tests; he warns the teacher that there is cheating going on.  That kid never becomes the Class President.  But in this case he just might become the next President of the United States.

At some point Donald Trump may have to debate Ted Cruz man to man and that may be a difficult assignment.  Cruz is unlikely to resort to the finger waving of a desperate Jeb Bush.  Instead, he will confront Trump with cold hard facts and a razor sharp intellect that makes few mistakes.  It will be even more of a mismatch if there is a debate between Hillary Clinton and Ted Cruz.

We just may see the rarest sight in politics; an honest, yet brutally capable politician, ready, willing and able to actually fight for truth, justice and the American way.  What if we accidentally elect the right guy?

Clearly Donald Trump has, once again, taught everyone else how to play the game.  One would think that Donald Trump would be the worst choice to fight back against sexism charges by Hillary, but the opposite is true.  Trump is the only one who figured out that it was Hillary who was playing with fire if only someone dared fight back.  Wow!

I do not think that Donald Trump would be a good President.  For one thing he is far too arrogant and I fear he would ignore the constitution even more than President Obama.  However, the man is undeniably brilliant at telling people what they want to hear. For years we have watched liberals play the race card, the sex card and the income equality card to steal elections.  Republicans have routinely responded to this nonsense by apologizing and surrendering.  The latest example was when Republicans, petrified at being accused of shutting down the government, let Democrats push through this awful budget deal.  Apparently no one in the Republican establishment figured out that after Gingrich shut down the government in 1995 Republicans ran the table the next election.  They also missed the coincidence that Ted Cruz shut down the government in 2013 and was punished with the greatest Republican midterm sweep in our nation’s history.  I honestly think that if Paul Ryan had the guts to shut down the government before funding Planned Parenthood the vast majority of Americans would have silently cheered.  We will never know, because he folded like a cheap umbrella.

Donald Trump is a lot of things, but he is not stupid.  He also knows how to play cards. Perhaps this comes from owning so many Casinos.  Hillary has been playing the sex card from day one.  Republicans have been too terrified to respond.  Donald Trump may have just turned the sex card into a Trump card.  Hillary Clinton is extremely vulnerable to the sex card.  She is the polar opposite of a self-made female.  That would be Sarah Palin.  Hillary didn’t earn her way into political power, she married it.  She not only tolerated the sexual misconduct of Bill Clinton, she enabled it.  Trump called her on it and this is a really big deal.  It may not win him the election, but it has the potential to absolutely destroy Hillary Clinton.

Perhaps Hillary will emerge unscathed.  The main stream media has been carrying the water for her since day one.  But I have a feeling this one is different.  This one hits her where she is most vulnerable.  If Hillary can’t play the sex card, she has no cards at all.  Trump has a huge advantage in that he doesn’t even have to exaggerate anything.  The truth is more than enough to destroy the myth of Hillary the self-made female super hero.

Hillary is bound to fight back by taking shots at Donald Trump and odds are she will have plenty of ammunition.  But Trump thrives when people attack him. He just makes his attackers look small in the process.  Trump is the master at that.

If nothing else, Trump has changed the game.  Enjoy.
