VULTURES

When we lived in Novato, California it was very common to see Turkey Vultures. They are huge birds that look rather majestic, until they get close. Then they look like, well, vultures. One day we looked out on our back yard and saw about 20 Turkey Vultures sitting on our back fence. It turned out that some animal, I believe a racoon, had died an untimely death in our back yard. The Turkey Vultures were all lined up to take turns at lunch.  It didn’t take long before the carcass was totally consumed, and they left for greener (or what ever color they prefer) pastures.

The point is that if it wasn’t for all those vultures, I may not have even realized that we had a dead critter in our back yard. We had a rather large yard and we couldn’t see the carcass from the house. But the Turkey Vultures sure knew it was there and they quickly seized the day.

The political vultures are circling again, but they are not circling over Donald Trump. While the liberal left and 99.97% of the media has been expecting him to go down in flames, Trump is still standing tall and the people tossing hand grenades at him are rapidly running out of ammunition. But the vultures are definitely circling, and it looks to me like they have their eye on Hillary Clinton.

We have all known that Hillary is one of the most corrupt people to ever run for public office. One would have to be oblivious to fail to realize this. In addition, if the accounts are accurate, she is also a world class jerk. There are numerous reports of her treating people like crap and almost no reports of her being generous to anyone other than in carefully choreographed performance in front of a camera. People were willing to put up with her because she was the ticket to power. Now that power is gone. Hillary is a case study in yesterday’s news. Everyone seems to realize that, but Hillary Clinton.

The Hillary Clinton e-mail server scandal was always bad. Anyone who paid any attention knows it was bad. A Secretary of State used a personal server to send her official e-mails and it would be a miracle if they weren’t hacked by several people. The only question is whether Hillary did this because she is really that stupid, or because she is that corrupt. My hunch is that it is a sad combination of the two.

The cover-up is obvious. The shield covering Hillary Clinton may be evaporating. U.S. District Court Judge Royce C. Lambert literally accused the State Department of lying to him about Hillary’s email server scandal:

https://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-federal-judge-shocked-clinton-aide-granted-immunity-by-justice-department/

“The information that I was provided was clearly false regarding the adequacy of the [Clinton email] search and… what we now know turned out to be the Secretary’s email system.”

Turning his attention to the Department of Justice, Judge Lamberth said that he was “dumbfounded” by the agency’s Inspector General report revealing that Cheryl Mills had been given immunity and was allowed to accompany former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to her FBI interview:

I had myself found that Cheryl Mills had committed perjury and lied under oath in a published opinion I had issued in a Judicial Watch case where I found her unworthy of belief, and I was quite shocked to find out she had been given immunity in — by the Justice Department in the Hillary Clinton email case. So I did not know that until I read the IG report and learned that and that she had accompanied the Secretary to her interview.

The real collusion investigation, between the Hillary Clinton campaign and Russia is heating up. Today James Baker, former FBI Chief legal counsel and Nellie Ohr are schedule to testify in front of congress. The last time Baker testified it was explosive. Nellie Ohr is the spouse of Bruce Ohr who worked for Fusion GPS.” Fusion GPS Co-Founder Glenn Simpson plead the 5th amendment in refusing to testify this week. When you have key witnesses pleading the 5th, the end is near. Rod Rosenstein testifies next week. There are also numerous signs the IG report is close to being finished.

There are also indications that British Intelligence was colluding with the Hillary Clinton campaign to defeat Trump during the election. Some have speculated that this is why Trump did not declassify the FISA warrant application without redactions. He didn’t want to embarrass an important ally.  It is possible that he has been giving Great Britain a chance to get ahead of this before he goes public.

No one really knows. But we do see vultures circling and no one should be surprised to find road kill.

MOSTLY STUPID!

Sometimes in that rare event where I accidently watch the Main Stream Media, I am often too astonished by the bitter vitriol and anger to remember something important. While the bias and hostility are very real and more than obvious, we must always remember that much of what liberals would have us believe is mostly stupid.

If you believe that Elizabeth Warren is a Native American because her great, great, great grandmother, who was obviously very white looking, may have had a tinge of non-white DNA from sources unknown, you are mostly stupid. If we apply this standard for determining who qualifies as a Native American, we will all qualify and real Native Americans will no longer have any special status at all.

If you believe Christine Ford, who can’t remember when, can’t remember where, can’t remember how she got there, can’t remember how she got home and distinctly remembers four people who were there, none of whom remember her, then you are mostly stupid.

If you believe that women can compete equally with men in sports, even though a 14 year old boy recently beat the women’s record in the 800 meters, then you are mostly stupid.

If you believe that spending millions on building cheap housing for anyone willing to become temporarily homeless will not result in a massive surge in the homeless population, then you are mostly stupid.

If you believe that when Hillary Clinton says Democrats can only be civil to Republicans if Democrats are in power that is not encouraging incivility to Republicans, then you are mostly stupid.

If you believe a biological male performing as a transgender female in a bicycle race and beating everyone is a proud moment for women’s rights, then you are mostly stupid.

If you believe we should spend billions on fighting climate change, even when no expert predicts any of this will work, then you are mostly stupid.

If you believe all those spoiled rich white kids pounding on the Supreme Court doors are not part of a mob, you are mostly stupid.

If you believe that the protests in Portland, where violence was used to stop people from praying for peace, have the moral equivalence of a non-violent Tea Party rally, then you are mostly stupid.

If you believe that raising the tax rate on rich people will result in rich people actually paying more tax, then you are mostly stupid.

If you believe that giving driver’s licenses to illegal aliens and then sending them voter registration cards will not encourage some of them to vote illegally in elections then you are mostly stupid.

If you believe there is no evidence of election fraud, even though every major metropolitan area has been totally dominated by political machines, usually run by Democrats, since day one, then you are mostly stupid.

If you believe that there are 22 million illegal aliens in this country, most of which have fake federal IDs, and none of them are voting in any election, then you are mostly stupid.

If you believe that Democrats oppose voter ID laws because they believe in honest and fair elections then you are mostly stupid.

If you think the federal government, which has a long history of inefficiency and corruption can handle all health care and give everyone better benefits, better service and lower cost than our current system, then you are mostly stupid.

If you think those Democratic Senators who assumed Brett Kavanaugh is guilty, without regard to the total lack of evidence, will be fair to you, then you are mostly stupid.

I could go on, but the point is made. Ronald Reagan said: “It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so many things that aren’t so.” I would define that as “mostly stupid.”

GOING TO POT!

The phrase: “The pot calling the kettle black” is a warning to people who accuse others of doing something they themselves do. In effect the pot is mocking the kettle for a little soot when the pot itself is covered in it.

That has never been more true that today. The following article by the AP is proof of two things. One is that Republicans are striking a chord with the American people. Another is that the AP is incapable of reporting facts objectively:

https://www.apnews.com/9c08e488580745dcb6ac6fe25cb5f1ec

They did quote McConnell accurately:

Only one side was happy to play host to this toxic fringe behavior. Only one side’s leaders are now openly calling for more of it. They haven’t seen enough. They want more. And I’m afraid this is only Phase One of the Meltdown.”

Then the AP drew a ridiculous comparison by saying that: “protestor’s tactics were broadly in line with those used by groups on the left and right during particularly passionate moments in Washington. The confrontational style harkened back to protests by the conservative tea party, which included angry face-offs with lawmakers and a massive Capitol demonstration far larger than last week’s rallies.”

I am glad the AP finally realized that a lot more people showed up for the Tea Party demonstration that the handful of radicals who showed up in Washington last week. But they left out some significant facts. The Tea Party wasn’t pounding on doors and being hauled out of the Senate Chambers for screaming at the top of their lungs. There is no record of the Tea Party blocking traffic, physically assaulting people or setting fires. Instead there are reports that the most remarkable thing about the Tea Party demonstration in Washington was the fact that they cleaned up after themselves and left very little trash. And by the way, those shouting matches were at town halls, where leaders were legitimately confronted in a public forum.

The problem for the liberal left is that there is just so much video of left wing violence and zero video of right wing violence. Remember all those videos of Tea Party mobs harassing Democratic politicians who are out to dinner with their family? Me neither. Remember when that Democratic Senator was attacked by his right wing vicious neighbor? Me neither. Remember when that gunman, outraged by the Tea Party tried to assassinate Democratic Congressmen? Me neither. Remember when that out of control right wing mob blocked traffic, set fires and assaulted police officers? Me neither. Remember when that Republican congressman screamed at supporters to confront Democrats in public places and tell them they are not wanted here? Me neither. Remember when Donald Trump said “If our Opponents bring knife to a fight, we bring a gun?” Wait that was Barack Obama.

This isn’t even a close call. When someone the media considers to be far right commits an act of violence, Republicans immediately condemn the violence with no conditions. When a liberal commits an act of violence, Democrats often blame the victim for bringing this on themselves. Republicans have finally called out Democrats on this and anyone paying attention will quickly figure out who is the pot and who is the kettle. Are you going to believe people like Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon or your lying eyes.

THE STATUTE

Several years ago, when I was litigation manager for a major corporation, I received a letter from an attorney reporting a claim and threatening a lawsuit. I ignored it. He sent several more letters. I ignored them too. Then he filed a lawsuit, which I also ignored. Finally he went to court and got a summary judgement. I ignored that too. Finally, I told my executive assistant that if he called, I would talk to him.

He started out by ranting and raving about our failure to respond to him. When he finally took a breath, I asked him a simple question: “Why did you send those letters and a copy of that lawsuit to me?” He seemed shocked by the question. What do you mean he said. I said: “We do not own that company and we have never had any connection to that company. If you do some research you will discover that the company you sued filed for bankruptcy five years ago and has been dissolved.” By the way, I accepted his call the day after the statute of limitations ran out.

The huffing and puffing ended and the phone went silent. Then he said: “You knew this all along, didn’t you.” I smiled, but said nothing. He said: “Why didn’t you tell me I was filing the claim against the wrong company?” I said: “You are an attorney. You are the one with a duty to determine the facts. It would have taken you five minutes of research to find this out.

That, of course, was the last I heard from him. I often wondered how he explained this to his client. For the record, we had no report of an incident involving his client, other than his letters and subsequent lawsuit.

The Democrat Party, led by the liberal left, is acting just like that attorney. They have convinced themselves that they have the facts and that they represent truth, justice and the American way. They think the American people will give them a summary judgement. In reality they are too blinded by their own arrogance to recognize the obvious. They have nothing but anger. Anger fueled by things that simply are not true. They believe Christine Ford, even though it is patently clear she is not telling the truth. This is really not difficult. She said she distinctly remembers three other people at that party, in addition to Brett Kavanaugh. She can’t remember when, she can’t remember where but she distinctly remembers all of them. The problem is none of them remember her. Her best friend said she never even met Brett Kavanaugh. Now we don’t know if Christine Ford has somehow deluded herself into believing this was really true, we just know that either she is wrong or everyone else she named as a witness is wrong. This isn’t even a close call.

By the way, the statute of limitations ran out years ago.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

Several years ago I was at a private home in Bermuda. The host introduced me to his neighbor, an older British fellow, who had been drinking more than a little. This guy started telling me some tall tales that seemed absurd. He said he was the head of British Intelligence in World War II. By far, his most interesting story was about Joseph Kennedy, Ambassador to the Court of St. James. This guy said that British Intelligence proved that Joseph Kennedy sought, without Roosevelt’s approval, to negotiate personally with Hitler. He said he was so outraged he flew to the United States and demanded an audience with FDR where he confronted him with the evidence. He said FDR recalled Kennedy and promptly fired him.

I asked my host about this and he said that “Bill” sometimes exaggerated things a little when he had been drinking. I discounted all of this until January 1989, many years later. I was in a hotel in New York when I saw a headline saying Sir William Samuel Stephenson, the man called Intrepid, died at his home in Hamilton, Bermuda. That was the first time I realized this old guy actually was the head of British Intelligence in World War II and almost every tall tale he told me ended up being true.

Yes, Joseph Kennedy was Ambassador to St. James; yes he was recalled and fired by FDR. After a meeting in the Oval Office, Kennedy congratulated the President on his successful re-election. Roosevelt accepted the resignation and they stood there smiling. But as soon as Kennedy left the White House, FDR reportedly told the Secret Service: “Never let that son of a bitch in here again.”

I do not know why Nikki Haley suddenly resigned as Ambassador to the UN, I just know she did. There have been rumors of high-level officials in the U.S. Government openly resisting Trump. There was a story about this in the New York Times. Was the Trump White House looking for disloyal members of his cabinet?  We don’t know. We may never know. What we do know is that Nikki Haley was definitely a never-Trumper in 2016; we know she was Ambassador to the UN, we know she resigned and it appeared to catch everyone by surprise. She smiled and supported Donald Trump. Sound familiar?

TDM

OVER?

When Donald Trump challenged the narrative by Christine Ford during a rally, everyone in the media and RINO Republican Senators thought it was a major mistake. They were wrong. It just may have saved Kavanaugh. When Trump listed all the gaps in Ms. Ford’s allegation that was news to a lot of people. No one in the main stream media was reporting any of this. They just called her a credible witness. They criticized him for his tone and for attacking a survivor, but none of them said he had the facts wrong. He brilliantly bypassed the entire media and a lot of people suddenly saw these allegations in a very different light.

Then, just before swearing in Brett Kavanaugh, Trump apologized on behalf of the American people. Again, the MSM was so anxious to attack him that they missed the point. Trump was right, this was disgraceful, and anyone watching this with a smidgen of objectivity knows that. When Trump said Kavanaugh was proven innocent, the media could only respond by saying there was no trial. Exactly!

As soon as Kavanaugh was confirmed, Christine Ford’s attorneys said they didn’t want this investigated any more. They even came out as opposed to Democrats considering impeachment of Kavanaugh. This is a sure sign they are running scared.

The FBI investigation appears to have identified at least the appearance of witness tampering by Monica McLean. She contacted one of the witnesses named by Christine Ford and allegedly pressured her to change her testimony. McLean is a former FBI agent. The attorney who was brought in to represent Ford was Michael R Bromwich, who just happens to be representing someone else you might remember, Andrew McCabe. Coincidence?

We already know that Christine Ford’s allegation was paper thin and the FBI could not collaborate any of it. We know that it was extremely convenient, being released just before Kavanaugh was set to be confirmed. Now we learn that Monica McLean, who apparently helped Christine Ford prepare her letter, appears to have “friends” that include the anti-Trump element in the FBI and the DOJ. These are the same people who allegedly falsified information in obtaining a FISA warrant to justify the Russia Collusion investigation, even though they already knew there was no collusion. Do you think such people would hesitate to fabricate a fake sexual assault case?

While Christine Ford’s legal team is wisely ready to call this a day and move on, that may not be possible. Nancy Pelosi, always counted on for brilliant insight, has filed a FOIA to get the FBI investigation report released. She apparently failed to notice that Diane Feinstein was leading the effort to keep that report suppressed. If there was ANYTHING in that report with the slightest potential to hurt Kavanaugh or help Ford, it would have been leaked by Democrats. That didn’t happen, so it is a pretty good bet that no Democratic Senator who has actually seen that report wants it to see the light of day.

Brett Kavanaugh is on the Supreme Court and nothing will change that. But the outburst from Lyndsey Graham and the stunning speech by Susan Collins is evidence that Democrats crossed a line with RINO Republicans. This is more than politics. They were confronted with the sad reality that Democratic Senators are willing to do anything in order to obtain power. Trust, once destroyed, is difficult if not impossible to restore.

AVE MICHAEL

When I wrote “Touchdown” on September 26, 2018, there was concern about celebrating victory before the game was over.

https://scotshonor.com/?p=4243

But since Brett Kavanaugh has been confirmed, it is difficult to suppress a pretty wide grin. The backlash against Michael Avanetti is already building. When Susan Collins sited his ridiculous accusation as reason to suspect all the allegations, she was making my point.

This is so bad, even CNN noticed:

https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/06/politics/democrats-avenatti-swetnick-accusation/index.html

Zerohedge provides more context:

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-10-06/michael-avenatti-turns-radioactive-liberals-blame-porn-lawyer-kavanaugh-nomination

Some of the allegations levied against Judge Kavanaugh illustrate why the presumption of innocence is so important. I am thinking in particular not of the allegations raised by Professor Ford, but of the allegation that, when he was a teenager, Judge Kavanaugh drugged multiple girls and used their weakened state to facilitate gang rape.

This outlandish allegation was put forth without any credible supporting evidence and simply parroted public statements of others. That such an allegation can find its way into the Supreme Court confirmation process is a stark reminder about why the presumption of innocence is so ingrained in our American consciousness. -Sen. Susan Collins

CNN breaking news editor Kyle Feldscher:

Hard to state how much Avenatti’s entrance into this process hurt the Democratic effort to bring down Kavanaugh’s nomination.

A host of Democratic senators and senior aides told CNN that the allegations from Avenatti’s client gave the GOP an opening to conflate — and dismiss — all the allegations in one broad brush.

“Well you know at some point there were a lot of folks coming forward making all sorts of accusations,” said Sen. Gary Peters, a Michigan Democrat, when asked about the allegations raised by Avenatti and his client. “It turns it into a circus atmosphere and certainly that’s not where we should be.”

Asked if Avenatti was helpful, Peters said: “I think we should have focused on the serious allegations that certainly appeared very credible to me that would be our best course of action.”

Privately, the assessment was far more scathing.

“Democrats and the country would have been better off if Mr. Avenatti spent his time on his Iowa vanity project rather than meddling in Supreme Court fights,” a senior Senate Democratic aide fumed, referring to Avenatti toying with the idea of seeking the Democratic presidential nomination. “His involvement set us back, absolutely.” –CNN

This is so bad that Greg Gutfeld wondered if Avenatti wasn’t a secret Republican operative. Michael Avenatti is finally getting the recognition he deserves and I, for one, am grateful for his efforts.

THE SHOT HEARD ROUND THE WORLD

Democratic hearts were all a twitter with the faint hope that Susan Collins would see the light and cast the deciding vote against Brett Kavanaugh. They waited with breathless anticipation as she walked into the Senate Chamber to announce her decision on live TV. There were cameras and smart phones everywhere. Liberals had trouble breathing. Then, Susan Collins surprised everyone, and I do mean everyone, by giving the speech of her life. It was nothing short of a full throttled endorsement of Brett Kavanaugh and a public indictment of those who opposed him.

In some ways, this was even more powerful than the outburst by Lyndsey Graham because she clearly was focused and in control. It was also a shot out of the blue that no one expected. She did her homework and she systematically destroyed each and every Democratic talking point. She then carefully explained why Christine Ford’s allegations against Brett Kavanaugh could not be collaborated. She eviscerated those demanding that he must be presumed guilty because this is a job interview and not a court of law. It really doesn’t get any better than this.

Democrats totally underestimated Susan Collins and as a result they made a huge mistake. It is impossible to overstate the impact of this. A lot of top Democrats and their allies in the Main Stream Media have to be in a state of shock. They have just realized their worst fear. Not only they did fail in their attempt to defeat Kavanaugh, they were humiliated on National TV. Susan Collins made all those shrieking Democratic Senators and their supporters in the Main Stream Media look like helpless and naïve children.

This reminds me of the time I attended a San Francisco 49ers game against the Philadelphia Eagles on a Monday night in Philadelphia. I love Philly fans because they wear their feelings on their sleeves. Before the game started there was a lot of hooting and hollering about how this “West Coast” team was about to learn what it like to play some real tough guys. By Half-time the 49ers were trouncing the Eagles and Joe Montana was shredding the Philadelphia defense.

The same guys who had been trash talking the 49ers before the game, were now trashing the Eagles. “I knew we couldn’t beat these guys.” By the end of the game the fans practically booed the Eagles off the field. Fortunately I was not wearing my 49er gear, so I was able to remain incognito thus avoiding serious injury. When I got back to my hotel room, I laughed hysterically.

This is a devastating loss to the liberal left. They cannot spin this away. They are the ones who said this was one battle they had to win. They are the ones who promised results. They are the ones who over-stated their case and literally encouraged nationwide protests. They lost. When your team loses, the coach is usually fired and new players are obtained. When you suffer this type of embarrassing lost, everyone is fired.

I definitely think this will suppress Democratic turnout and energize Republicans. If Democrats try and campaign on a promise to impeach Kavanaugh few people will believe them. Red State Democratic Senators who voted against Kavanaugh are likely to find themselves with red faces on election night.

Perhaps John Kennedy said it best. “Victory has a thousand fathers but defeat is an orphan.”

THE AGONY OF DEFEAT

On Sunday, October 7, 1984 I was at O’Hare field on my way home from Bermuda. My wife and I had front row tickets to see the Tigers play in the World Series. We were anxious to see if their opponent would be the Chicago Cubs or the San Diego Padres. When are got off the plane at O’Hare there were Chicago Cubs fans everywhere. It seemed like everyone we saw had some kind of clothing with a Cub logo. Every TV was turned to the Cub game and people held their breath with every pitch. It was the first postseason appearance by the Cubs since 1945. The Cubs had won the first two games, but then lost the next two. This was it. Winner take all, loser go home.

Keep in mind that Cubs fans were more than a little used to disappointment. But in this game Leon Durham hit a two-run homer in the first and Rick Sutcliffe, who was 17-1 during the regular season was on the mound. He only gave up two infield hits through the first five innings. What could possibly go wrong? Surely the curse of “Billy the Goat” had finally been overcome.

True Cub fans should have known better. The Padres scored two runs in the sixth. Then in the seventh inning, the Goat got his revenge. Carmelo Martinez scored the tying run when Tim Flannery hit a sharp ground ball that went under the glove of Leon Durham. By the time the inning was over the Padres led 6 to 3. The San Diego Padres went to the World Series, for the first time ever. The CUBs, well they went home.

By the time we caught our flight, O’Hare had morphed from the happiest place on earth to the temple of doom. All of the Cubs signs and logo disappeared within seconds. In an incredibly short period of time we couldn’t even find anyone who admitted to rooting for the Cubs. I talked to some of the people who had been wearing Cubs gear just a few minutes ago and asked them what happened. They all made similar comments. We should have known better than to get our hopes up in the first place. Some of them had literally brought a change of clothes just in case. I haven’t seen anything like that since, until now. One just needs to look at the whining howls of desperation by liberal Democrats. The look on their faces is remarkably similar to that on those Cubs fans in the 7th inning. They still hold a tiny shred of hope, but deep down they fear the impending doom.

Judge Kavanaugh will be confirmed tomorrow and the whole world will realize that Democrats lost, again. This defeat is magnified because of the numerous times Democrats told everyone why they couldn’t afford to lose this one. Why this mistake may last for decades. That is why they promised to stop this, no matter what it takes. We now know that it takes someone or something other than them. Don’t be surprised if the disappointment turns to outrage. Sadly, there are likely to be violent protests from the illogical and uninformed masses. The good news is that outrage will be directed more toward Democrats than Republicans. Yes, Republicans are the evil villains in this script, but Democrats are the people who let them down at the worst possible time.

What are Democrats going to do? Pretend it didn’t matter after all? Or how about doubling down on insanity by campaigning with a promise to impeach Brett Kavanaugh for something? That would be nothing short of mass suicide but it may be the only option that prevents left wing Democratic base from disappearing faster than Cubs fans in 1984.

Watch and enjoy. The agony of defeat is all too real for those on the losing side, but their agony just makes the sweet sweet smell of victory linger even longer.

TDM

PRECIOUS MEMORIES

Democrats may have stepped on a mine as a result of their wildly irresponsible behavior during the Kavanaugh hearings. This could result in a monumental dust up with some of the biggest names in the Democratic Party, particularly Kirsten Gillibrand, Richard Blumenthal, Cory Booker, and Kamala Harris stepping in it big time. The liberal left is more than willing to overlook arrogance and corruption. They are not as willing to overlook a public display of stupidity.

Diane Feinstein had that letter from Christine Ford for weeks, but never turned it over to Republicans. She only did that after it leaked in the Washington Post. Everyone assumes that she is the one who leaked it to spring a last-minute surprise on Kavanaugh. However, I watched her reaction when Cruz accused her of leaking the letter and she looked genuinely surprised and angry. My hunch is that either Diane Feinstein or her staff felt that this letter was too convenient and too lacking in detail to be believed. They probably feared it was a plant. In other words, the real reason she sat on it was because she didn’t buy it. Note that Diane Feinstein has never said she totally believes Christine Ford.

Democrats made a huge mistake by delaying Christine Ford’s testimony. This did not help her credibility and it gave Republicans time to investigate. When Republicans decided to let Rachel Mitchell interview her, they were setting her up for a public perjury trap. A trap she stepped into with both feet. The question is not whether she committed perjury, but rather how many times and which one is worth prosecuting.

It is significant to note that the FBI apparently did not bother to interview her. They didn’t need to, Rachel Mitchell did that for them. What they did do was interview the people she referred to, under oath, as having witnessed this event. That alone exposed her to perjury. But they also interviewed other people who are extremely dangerous for Christine Ford. Sometimes, the most dangerous question from a skilled investigator is the one you don’t realize is important. There is no doubt that Christine Ford was highly coached and had training in how to avoid answering specific questions. But there was one question she did answer, and it was a bombshell. It seemed so innocent at the time. The following article in the American Thinker is spot on:

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2018/10/blasey_ford_facing_perjury_trap.html

Ms. Mitchell: “Have you ever given tips or advise to someone who was looking to take a polygraph test?”

Ms. Ford: “Never

Senator Grassley just released a sworn statement from a former boyfriend stating that Christine Ford coached Monica L. McLean on how to pass a polygraph test. This statement says she “explained in detail what to expect” during the polygraph and how to be “less nervous” about the test. Apparently, Ms. McClean was interviewing for jobs with the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office. This is a sworn statement issued under penalty of perjury. Odds are Senator Grassley and others knew about this before Christine Ford testified. I believe this question was carefully planned.

Most people, interviewing for a job with the FBI or the DOJ would not be all that nervous about a polygraph. The people most likely to be nervous are those with something to hide, like a criminal record. We may learn more about Ms. McClean and she may have strong incentive to cooperate with the FBI regarding this issue. She would certainly be very foolish to lie to the FBI about this.

Grassley is demanding the full record of Ms. Ford’s therapy notes and her polygraph exam. He has the authority to subpoena those records. He is not doing that because he believes her, he is doing this because he is building a case for a criminal referral for perjury.

Now combine this with evidence that Dr. Ford wrote academic papers about “self-hypnosis” and how to retrieve important memories and create artificial situations. People know the articles are there but are waiting for permission to publish. One could make the argument that Christine Ford is uniquely qualified to convince herself of something that is simply not true. That sure would explain why the only thing she can remember is Brett Kavanaugh.

At this point, wise Democrats would just want Kavanaugh to be confirmed and move on. But Grassley is furious with what happened, and he isn’t about to move on. No one can predict these things but imagine this. “What if Christine Ford is indicted for perjury and her entire story is exposed as a total fraud.” Suddenly all those Democratic Senators who said: “I believe you” look like idiots.

Polls show that 60% of people want Kavanaugh confirmed. That will rise significantly if people realize that the entire Christine Ford fiasco was a poorly executed lie planted by a left-wing liberal activist now charged with perjury. Suppose this explodes in about two weeks, just before the Mid-term elections. Think that might have some impact on the coveted blue wave?
