We are now at the stage where far too many people only see what they want to see. All of us are probably guilty of this to some extent. I must admit that I take any report remotely favorable of Barrack Obama, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton or Bill Clinton with a large grain of salt. It is easy to fall into the habit of thinking these people are incapable of doing anything good. The reality is that even the worst of us occasionally does something good and even the best of us occasionally does something bad.

The best way to handle this is to always look for the actual facts. They are usually there and surprisingly easy to find. The most recent case of this involves John Huber. He has been ignored by the left and the right. Both are convinced he has done nothing. Odds are both are making a grave mistake. The Attorney General does not give a special assignment to a U.S. Attorney without cause. In this case the appointment was in response to a request from Chairman Goodlatte of the Senate Judiciary Committee. That letter specifically asked for investigation into the sale of Uranium One and alleged unlawful dealing related to the Clinton foundation and other matters.

This morning, on CBS News, William Barr said that Huber had been originally asked to look the FISA applications and electronic surveillance, but he stood down when he learned the IG was already doing that. He was described as on standby in case Horowitz referred a matter to him to be handled criminally. Then Barr said that Durham is taking over that role.

The assumption was that Huber has done nothing, but that is not exactly what Barr said. Instead he said that the other issues he’s been working on relate to Hillary Clinton. Those are winding down and hopefully we’ll be in a position to bring those to fruition. Fruition is an interesting word. It doesn’t mean shutting it down with no action, in fact it means the exact opposite. Fruition implies accomplishment.”

While the interviewer on CBS missed this, Barr may have been hinting that Huber is getting ready with indictments. When you combine that with the statement that Huber wasn’t working on the FISA abuse case, because it was not at the stage of criminal referral this should give everyone pause. John Durham was assigned to that case, precisely because it is now at the stage of preparing criminal indictments.

At a minimum, the interviewer missed the opportunity to ask some interesting questions. Like what was Huber doing and did Barr expect any results from that. Huber wasn’t exactly demoted or criticized; Barr merely commented on the focus of his mission.

Keep this in mind. When the DOJ and the FBI is really closing in on criminal prosecution, they don’t exactly hold press conferences saying they are getting close. In fact, they avoid the press and they avoid saying anything at all. The first notice is often a knock on the door and an arrest by heavily armed agents. At a minimum there is a deal for a person to quietly turn themselves in for arrest. We rarely learn about these things until the last moment, unless the suspect themselves sends out an alert. Both Manafort and Stone did exactly that. They announced that they expected to be indicted. However, neither the FBI nor the Mueller investigation even gave a hint about what was about to happen.

The question then, is to see or not to see. A lot of people would love to see Hillary Clinton indicted and finally held accountable. Most are convinced this will never happen. But regardless of what one wants or believes, there are at least interesting questions with very few answers.

There have been a lot of very destructive tornados lately. This has happened before. I grew up in the Midwest and personally experienced storms like this. I remember one time when the Palm Sunday tornados hit Lower Michigan. This happened in April 1965, while I was a senior in high school. My brother was pastor of a church and I was assigned to stay outside and watch the sky, because there were a lot of warnings. We were right to do that, because a major tornado hit another church about a mile away. An usher outside saw the funnel cloud and gave warning. The people attending church did not have time to evacuate; they just lay down between the pews. The church was leveled, but miraculously none of them were seriously injured. I still remember seeing that church, with the roof and exterior walls gone and realizing there had been people inside. It was even more stunning to realize they had escaped with only minor injuries.

I also remember something else. The spring of 1965 was a mess. Three feet of snow fell during March in Grand Rapids Michigan and on March 27^th it was zero degrees. Then on April 3^rd, it skyrocketed to 10 degrees. However, by April 11^th, Palm Sunday, the temperature in Grand Rapids was 72 degrees. That, folks is the kind of weather that results in a lot of big tornadoes. Extremely cold weather, followed by extremely hot weather results in very powerful and destructive storms. If you think about it, that is very similar to the weather pattern this year. We saw record levels of snow and cold weather followed by heat waves. Sound familiar? This has nothing to do with global warming, regardless of what is being reported on CNN.

The same pattern is occurring politically this year. For over two years the storm clouds have all been about Donald Trump. The world waited breathlessly for the Mueller report, only to have it land with a soft thud. Some still believed and when Mueller actually spoke, and repeated what was in the report, they could not hold back on the celebration. Happy days are here again, impeachment is on the way. But, in reality the opposite is true. Mueller time is over and it is not coming back anytime soon.

Politics, like the weather, can change rapidly. The more strongly things move in one direction, the more energy being built up in resistance. Science teaches us for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. That is just as true in politics as it is in weather. The establishment in Europe learned that the hard way just this week. So did the political establishment in Australia. They all missed the warning signs of a really huge political storm just over the horizon.

The next political storm is now approaching and this will be far more destructive than the storm that just passed. Those who fail to heed warning will pay a terrible price. The previous storm lasted far too long, but it was fueled primarily by belief in a mythical monster created out of thin air by liberal democrats and their public relations partners in the MSM. This fictional creation did not even resemble the real Donald Trump but they were too excited to notice. They waited breathlessly, for over two years, for the great dragon slayer, Robert Mueller, to destroy the evil Trump. But Mueller came and left and Trump is not only still here, he is actually stronger than before.

The political storm about to break will be destructive far beyond what anyone can imagine. This storm, fueled by actual facts, is far more powerful, energized by pent up anger. When you combine this with well-documented facts and professional prosecutors focused on real crimes it is a recipe for the perfect political storm. A lot of people are going to be swept away by this.

We are reminded that, as John Adams said while defending the British soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre: “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” Keep in mind that this is still called the Boston massacre and few people were less admired than British troops stationed in Boston in 1770. People wanted the British troops to be guilty and they wanted them to be punished. It is hard to imagine a lawyer faced with a more hostile jury. The prosecutors only had to prove that one of the soldiers fired with malice and the intent to kill. If they made that case, all of the soldiers would have been sentenced to hang. Incredibly, the jurors found all of the soldiers innocent of murder and two were guilty of manslaughter. Their punishment was to be branded on the thumb. Facts, are indeed stubborn and ultimately very powerful.

Now ask yourself a question. Who has documented evidence of crimes and who does not? That will help you estimate the size of the coming storm.

We are often blessed by the quality of our enemies. Donald Trump is truly blessed to be attacked by someone with the “skill set” of Rep. Nadler. That was never more evident than during his idiotic press conference today. He listened to Robert Mueller’s report and drew all the wrong conclusions. Most lawyers will instantly recognize that. Nadler is oblivious. Mueller did not say he found evidence of obstruction of justice. He didn’t come close to saying that. He actually eliminated the obstruction of justice allegation by saying the Russia collusion investigation was never about Donald Trump. Trump, in other words, had nothing to obstruct.

What Mueller said is that the role of law enforcement is not to find people innocent; it is rather look for evidence of crimes. They found no such evidence. It is not his job to exonerate Trump or anyone else. What is really significant is that Mueller is not willing to talk to anyone publicly about this anymore. That leaves people like Nadler left with no option other than to howl at the wind. They can try and investigate this until the cows come home and it won’t matter. Even if they were competent, which they aren’t, this would take months if not years. When is the last time a congressional committee indicted anyone? The answer is never, other than when they impeached Bill Clinton. That only happened AFTER the Special Counsel, Ken Starr, made a criminal referral to congress with specific evidence that Clinton had committed crimes. Even though Clinton was clearly guilty, the Senate still refused to convict.

At best congress can make a criminal referral to the DOJ, but only the DOJ can indict anyone. In this case the DOJ has already investigated and specifically determined that they do not have evidence of criminal activity. Nadler, in other words, has less than nothing.

This will have a major negative impact, on the Democratic Party. If they follow the fanatics, they will spend the next two years continuing to obstruct Trump and proposing no solutions. There is close to zero chance they will succeed in removing Trump from office. It would require a major bombshell and there is no evidence of that. Instead, they will only convince more and more people that they are incapable of governing themselves.

On the other hand, if they don’t mollify the radicals the party may literally split in two. We could be witnessing nothing less than the self-destruction of what used to be called the Democratic Party. Most Democratic primaries will involve hard core radicals silencing anyone who even pretends to be willing to compromise. The result is that the winner of the primary is destined to lose in the general election other than in districts died a deep stain of blue. All Republicans need to sweep the table in 2020 is to avoid choosing loser candidates, like Roy Moore.

We can always count on the Republican Party to muck things up, but they will have an increasingly difficult time keeping up with Democrats in the race to the bottom. This is very simple to explain. When you are surrounded by out of control screaming children it is very easy to look like the only adult in the room. While the kids won’t care, those people watching can easily figure this out.

The liberal left loudly criticized George W. Bush for it surveillance program developed after 9-11 to prevent future terrorist attacks. These included using NSA to survey certain telephone calls without obtaining a warrant. The following article by the Washington Post criticizes Bush, while acknowledging this was only used to monitor suspected terrorists. No one even suspected that Bush would use this to conduct surveillance on political opponents. They were angry that it was being used to conduct surveillance on anyone. Ultimately that program was abandoned and replaced by the Patriot Act.

On page 19, it is documented that NSA analysts had been conducting queries that were illegal and non-compliant at a rate that was staggering. The report concluded that this represented an institutional lack of candor (deliberate lying). To put this in perspective, there are some reports that 85% of these queries did not meet the standard. In addition, federal contractors were able to access the database and conduct 40,000 queries. We know something happened, but the magnitude of the problem has not been fully documented. Some of the leaks come from places like info wars that are not necessarily that credible.

There are some who think the Obama administration was engaged in a systematic effort to spy on anyone they considered a threat. That would be consistent with the unmasking we definitely know went on. All we really know if that they were lying about what was happening.

You did not read about this in the Washington Post. They didn’t care. Apparently Bush spying on terrorists is the crime of the century, but Obama spying on everyone is just par for the course. More likely the Washington Post could never bring itself to suspect wrong doing by the Obama administration.

We know a couple of very interesting facts. Admiral Mike Rogers, Director of the NSA is the one who notified the FISA court of the abuse. Rogers, without authorization, flew to New York to meeting with President-elect Trump. Trump moved his transition team out of Trump tower and he also fired Mike Roger, from the transition team. Coincidence?  (Same name, different guys) Several people in the Pentagon and the intelligence services tried to get Trump to fire Admiral Mike Rogers. There was a direct request by James Clapper and Ashton Carter. Soon and very soon this is all going to be documented and made public. Admiral Rogers retired on May 5, 2018.

• November 2015-April 2016 – The FBI and DOJ’s National Security Division (NSD) uses private contractors to access raw FISA information using “To” and “From” FISA-702(16) & “About” FISA-702(17) queries.
• March 2016 – NSA Director Rogers becomes aware of improper access to raw FISA data.
• April 2016 – Rogers orders the NSA compliance officer to run a full audit on 702 NSA compliance.
• April 18 2016 – Rogers shuts down FBI/NSD contractor access to the FISA Search System.
• April-September 2016 – Rogers continues his investigation.
• September 26 2016 – DOJ’s NSD Head John Carlin files the Government’s proposed 2016 Section 702 certifications. The filing does not disclose the FISA Abuses. Carlin is aware of Rogers’ compliance review. The 2016 certifications are scheduled for Court approval on October 26, 2016.
• September 27 2016 – Carlin announces he is resigning. Mary McCord will later assume his position.
• October 15, 2016 – Carlin formally leaves the NSD.

So ask yourself a question. Is there more evidence of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia or the Obama administration abusing power? Who do you trust? James Comey or William Barr? Seriously, would any sane person trust James Comey?

If you ever watch a crime show, like criminal minds, you learn to watch for the critical moment. That is when the police not only know the suspect, they know they have enough evidence to make an arrest and obtain a conviction. While things can move excruciatingly slow up for a long time, once that happens things move at the speed of light.

It is increasingly obvious that a lot of people tried, and failed, to frame Trump for colluding with Russia. The real question is why? Because they were so upset Hillary lost? Because they really hate him that much? What if the primary motivation was to cover-up their own crimes.

The New York Times published an article slamming Trump for authorizing William Barr to declassify information.

The theory is that Brennan had a mole very close to Putin who warned the CIA that Putin was going to interfere in the U.S. election to try and help Trump get elected. Brennan and the New York Times are terrified that this “source” may be outed if Trump declassifies certain documents. Actually, if the source exists at all, it was outed by the Washington Post in June of 2017:

It describes an envelope so sensitive it was only shown to President Obama and three senior aids.

Inside was an intelligence bombshell, a report drawn from sourcing deep inside the Russian government that detailed Russian President Vladi­mir Putin’s direct involvement in a cyber campaign to disrupt and discredit the U.S. presidential race.

But it went further. The intelligence captured Putin’s specific instructions on the operation’s audacious objectives — defeat or at least damage the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, and help elect her opponent, Donald Trump.

No one thought to ask the most obvious question: “are you really buying this?”

If, and that is the world’s biggest IF, this story is true that the people who released this information and those who published in the Washington Post are guilty of treason. The Washington Post could have a conceivable freedom of press excuse, but the damage to national security would still be unprecedented. This is at best highly irresponsible. At worst, it is both irresponsible and frankly stupid.

The article also indicates that Obama personally warned Putin. Wow, that must have terrified him. What Obama did not do was warn Donald Trump. Instead:

Brennan convened a secret task force at CIA headquarters composed of several dozen analysts and officers from the CIA, the NSA and the FBI.

Only four senior security officers were allowed to attend briefings in the White House situation room, Brennan, Clapper, Lynch and Comey. Even aides were banned. Eventually the circle expanded to John Kerry and Ashton Carter who were given envelopes that subordinates were not supposed to open.

There are points where this article says things that are at best extremely unlikely and most likely demonstrably false. For example,  it says U.S. spy agencies reached unanimous agreement that the DNC servers were hacked by Russia intelligence.  But that is far from true. Only the CIA and the DNI reached that conclusion and the NSA gave a conditional could be true statement. In reality the secrecy of this committee meant that conclusions by definition came primarily from Brennan, Clapper, Lynch and Comey.

Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it. James Jesus Angleton was chief of counterintelligence at the CIA. He became convinced that there was a soviet mole in the CIA. He was told by a defector named Golitsyn that the KGB had a network of spies within the CIA. He went on a counter-intelligence campaign that destroyed a lot of careers. It is unclear, even today, whether there even was a mole. There were some people caught spying for the Soviet Union, but they were at much lower levels. The 2006 film the Good Shepherd is based at least partly on the real James Jesus Angleton.

The point is that the top intelligence officials in this country “believed” that they had a mole close to Putin and that Putin had the fix in for Donald Trump. In reality, that seems very unlikely. Putin has a long history of bribing the Clintons and they had helped him steal our uranium. It was Bill Clinton, not Donald Trump that Putin paid to give speeches in Moscow. It was the Hillary Campaign that was helped by the Russian Dossier, which can definitely be traced to Russian intelligence and which was absolutely designed to undermine Donald Trump. Odds are Putin was interested primarily in undermining who ever won the presidency and if he favored Trump over Hillary it was only because he was sure Hillary would win so he wanted to undermine her credibility. By the way this article admits that Russians also targeted Republican servers, they just were unsuccessful in penetrating them.

In any event if there really was a mole close to Putin, that person is almost certainly dead probably shortly after the Washington Post article was published. If that didn’t do the trick, the New York Times article published over the weekend will finish the job. Declassification of anything by Trump will have little if any impact on this person, assuming he or she even exists.

If Putin planted this seed in the minds of Brennan and Clapper, to seed distrust in the American government, he succeeded beyond all expectations. No one with an ounce of credibility pretends that Russian influence had anything to do with the 2016 presidential election results. If Hillary was beaten because of WikiLeaks, which consisted of real e-mails, she deserved to lose. Brennan and Clapper thought they had a source willing to provide access to Putin’s most secret thoughts and actions. This source told them what they wanted to hear, so they absolutely believed it. When you combine that with the failure of the NSA or the FBI to even do a forensic evaluation of the DNC servers, this theory is built on the thinnest of air.

This is about to blow sky high. This is worse than we could even imagine. A President of the United States and his top intelligence officials became convinced that Russia was trying to steal a presidential election by hacking WikiLeaks. They were so terrified that they set up a double top-secret committee to investigate. For years they have denied spying on the Trump campaign at all, now we know the opposite is true. We also know that this was not only abuse of power, it was incredibly stupid abuse of power. Abuse of power, we can understand, incompetence at this level is mind numbing.

Unfortunately, regardless of what evidence surfaces a high percentage of the usual suspects will continue to believe the impossible fueled by the ridiculous in a continued effort to find some reason to believe. Fortunately, for the country, Obama is no longer President and neither Brennan nor Clapper have any influence on our intelligence operations. More importantly, the Attorney General is William Barr, not James Comey and we will soon learn the facts as the result of criminal prosecutions.

Absolutely unbelievable. If this is an example of how the Obama administration functioned, we were lucky to survive.

On April 15, 1969 North Korea shot down an American EC-121 aircraft. I remember this very well because I had two friends from language school on that plane. What most people don’t know is that there were other intelligence agencies involved and at least one of them tried to send a warning to that plane. However, at that time, intelligence agencies weren’t exactly famous for talking to each other. The result is that it is unlikely the crew on that plane had any chance.

Shortly after this happened, under the direction of President Richard Nixon, communication barriers were eliminated to prevent this from happening again.

Frankly, in retrospect, if Nixon had actually nuked North Korea at the time, or at least bombed them conventionally we might all be better off today. It is hard to argue that the threat from North Korea has diminished.

But my point was that almost instantly intelligence agencies, at the direction of Nixon, began communicating with each other. There has probably always been a problem in our government regarding different agencies being highly protective of their own turf. That was part of the reason the 9-11 attack was successful. Following 9-11 President Bush also cut down some communication barriers between intelligence agencies. But they still exist.

Yesterday President Donald Trump did something remarkable. He ordered several agencies to cooperate with Attorney General Barr in declassifying documents to investigation the origins of the Russia probe. This is a very significant development and I certainly do not know of a single incident where this happened in the past. Since Trump has access to everything, regardless of classification, he already knows exactly what is in those documents. That should terrify those people who appear to have been engaged in a cover-up since at least mid-2016.

What is stunning is that this is not limited to the intelligence agencies; it also includes the State Department, the Treasury, and the Department of Energy. While Nancy Pelosi accused Trump of conducting a cover-up, of something, based on zero evidence, we may be about to be confronted with documentation of the worst cover-up in American History and this will be no joke.

It is actually broader than that. The wording is “The Attorney General is currently conducting a review of intelligence activities relating to the campaigns (not just the Trump campaign) in the 2016 Presidential election and certain related matters.” That could include a lot of other things including the sale of uranium, contributions to the Clinton Foundation, and even the Clinton e-mail scandal.

This is a reminder that the President of the United States is the most powerful person on earth. No one, other than him, could have issued this order. All of the following report directly to him:

Secretary of States, Secretary of the Treasury, Secretary of Defense, The Attorney General, the Secretary of Energy, the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

He just gave them a direct order they cannot ignore. It is impossible to overstate the significance of this. The first thing you will hear is loud squealing from people who want to stop having this information declassified. The louder they scream, they more likely they are the ones who should be frightened. Ultimately, none of them matter. Trump has the authority, he has used that authority, no one can stop him and this is guaranteed to change EVERYTHING.

Nancy Pelosi made a huge mistake yesterday. She crossed a big red line and the results will be catastrophic. We are used to politicians lying about each other, that is a well-established genetic defect affecting both parties. But there is a big difference between saying someone is lazy, or dumb etc. and falsely accusing them of a crime. Yesterday the Speaker of the House literally accused the President of the United States, Donald Trump of committing a crime. She, of course, not only has zero evidence; she can’t even define what was allegedly covered-up. This was followed today with a statement saying they still won’t impeach him, because that is what he wants, but she is praying for him. Then she suggested an intervention of some kind. Beyond the obvious stupidity, this is totally unacceptable behavior from a Speaker of the House. There is zero chance Trump will tolerate this. No President of the United States can or should tolerate that.

This is further proof that the Democratic Party has gone completely off the rails. That will impact more than Donald Trump. Even those Republicans who despise Trump will not tolerate this. They cannot tolerate this.

While the MSM is pretending Trump threw a hissy fit, the opposite is true. The opposite of love is not hate. Hate and love are actually very similar. The true opposite of love is apathy. It sure looks like Trump has moved on from hate and disgust to apathy. He no longer has any hope of Democrats acting responsibly on any subject, so he won’t even pretend any more. But he is more likely to ignore them than bother becoming angry, unless they accuse him of a crime. Other Republicans noticed. Kevin McCarthy gave a scathing rebuke to Democrats today and also said he was done trying to bargain with those who have zero intention of bargaining in good faith.

I doubt serious that Democrats will impeach Trump, because they simply do not have a case. They might not even get enough Democratic votes in the House. They have zero chance of getting a conviction in the Senate.

There was an important poll out there today that should tell you everything you need to know. This poll showed that 67% of Democrats really believe that we have 12 years to reverse climate change or we all die. This is so stupid that even AOC, who made that prediction, was surprised anyone took her seriously. So the question is are 67% of Democrats really that stupid? I suspect not. It is more likely that 67% of the Democrats willing to respond to opinion polls are that stupid. For the past several years all the polls have been increasingly worthless. One would think that Democrats had learned their lesson in 2016, but they really thought this was a Russian plot. They deluded themselves into thinking Hillary really won after all. The most recent example was in Australia. The polls weren’t even close.

I pondered this in my heart and came to several conclusions. One is that polls are worthless because a lot of people rarely talk on the phone at all anymore, unless they are at work. Test this yourself. While you are out and about, watch for people actually talking on their cell phone. Odds are the only people you see will be loud and obnoxious. Now compare that to those who are texting etc.

Another is that people are far more selective with regard to receiving phone calls at home. We have caller ID on our television, so unless we know who it is, odds are pretty high we won’t even try to answer. In addition, we have the two second rule. Remember the ten second rule that applied if you dropped food on the ground? If you picked it up in less than ten seconds, it was still safe to eat because it didn’t have time to attract germs. That is nonsense, of course, but widely practiced. Now we have the two second rule. If, and that is a big IF, we do answer the phone, you have about two seconds to start talking or we will hang up. Actually, if my wife answers the phone you have even less time.  The reason is that we know telemarketers have this built in delay, so we listen for it. This means the odds of getting us, or anyone like us to answer a telephone opinion poll is close to zero. So, who is answering the phone? Well now we know. About 67% of them are people dumb enough to think the world is going to end in 12 years. Oh, they also vote Democratic.

That begs the question: why do bother taking meaningless polls. Then, I realized the answer is actually quite obvious. The polls are providing valuable feedback to the MSM desperate for confirmation they are on target. Liberals feast on opinion polls and twitter accounts for the same reason. Both are dominated by left wing radicals incapable of communicating normally with other human beings. It is beyond obvious that newspapers are shredding subscribers even faster than CNN shreds viewers. If CNN hadn’t bought up all the TVs in airports, they might not have any viewers at all. But, thanks to worthless opinion polls and left-wing twitterites they remain deluded into thinking they remain relevant. They are relevant, but only to people stupid enough to think we have 12 years before climate change kills us all. And, oh, people impressed by someone as stupid as Nancy Pelosi.

Sometimes little things really mean a lot. A classic example of this was the incredible interview of William Barr by Bill Hemmer. We already know that Barr is investigating the origin of the Russia investigation. We already know that Mueller found zero evidence of collusion between the Trump Campaign and Russia. We already know that many of the top officials in the DOJ and the FBI have already been removed, one way or another, from their jobs.

But we did not know somethings that are beyond stunning. Barr said:

“The thing that’s interesting about this is that this was handled at a very senior level of these departments. It wasn’t handled in the ordinary way that investigations or counterintelligence activities are conducted. It was sort of an ad hoc, small group — and most of these people are no longer with the FBI or the CIA or the other agencies involved.”

The following article puts a very dangerous spin on this. I do not know the source of this information and whether any of this is documented. If true, this is far more of a bombshell than anyone realizes:

They worked exclusively for two groups of “customers,” officials said. The first was Obama and fewer than 14 senior officials in government. The second was a team of operations specialists at the CIA, NSA and FBI who took direction from the task force on where to aim their subsequent efforts to collect more intelligence on Russia.

At first only four senior officials were involved: Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Attorney General Loretta Lynch and then-FBI Director James Comey..

When the closed Cabinet sessions on Russia began in the White House Situation Room in August, the video feed from the main room was cut off during the meetings.

The compartmentalization may help to explain why it was only Brennan’s CIA, Comey’s FBI and the NSA that penned the January 6, 2017 U.S. Intelligence Community report alleging Russian interference in the presidential race. Numerous news media reports originally falsely claimed the report was authored by all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies.

These meetings were allegedly held in the White House Situation Room beginning in August 2016. That would have been during the heat of the 2016 Presidential election. If there is no credible evidence of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia now, there could not have been credible evidence of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia then. When you combine this with apparently cutting the video feed for these meetings, alarm bells go off big time. One reason for cutting the video would be to cover-up who was in that meeting.

One will recall that Nixon was removed from office because conversations that took place in the White House were recorded. That begs the question whether situation room conversations are recorded. If they are, then those records are probably secured and William Barr, John Durham and Michael Horowitz already have access to them. If there were recordings and they were destroyed or are missing, that would be a huge problem. If there were no records of these meetings, and there should have been recordings, that would also be a problem.

Omarosa claims she has recordings of conversations with John Kelly in the White House Situation room. She allegedly recorded them on her cell phone. If that is true, it was a major breach in security. It also begs the question regarding who else recorded White House Situation room meetings.

This would sure explain why both Brennan and Clapper are crapping their pants in public. It would also explain why Comey, Clapper and Brennan are all pointing fingers at each other.

We do not know if this is accurate, but it has the ugly odor of truth. This is at least believable and it would fill in a lot of gaps. The fact that Barr said this involved a very small group of people and this was not the normal procedure is significant and totally consistent. He also said that the answers he was getting were not adding up. He has described this as unprecedented on several occasions.

This definitely falls into the category of a story too good (bad) to be true. A lot of people would really like to believe that Obama was capable of this. That does not mean this actually happened. But something happened, Barr is on it, and that alone greatly increases the potential for this story being accurate. At a minimum, nothing Barr has said even hints that this is not true.

We are now at the point where documents are being declassified on a daily basis. There are promises of more to come. Trump threw Pelosi and Schumer out of his office today and said he wouldn’t even pretend to negotiate with them if they continue this constant investigation nonsense. Always remember that Trump knows things you do not know. While Trump is routinely accused of acting impulsively, in reality he rarely does that. Even his “outrageous” tweets are usually designed to push people’s buttons and they are in fact brilliant. That means this decision to publicly announce that he wasn’t even going to pretend to negotiate with Pelosi and Schumer was probably a carefully crafted position. At a minimum, Trump believes this is the politically correct move to make at this point in time. The questions is whether there may be additional motivation that will soon become obvious. One thing is certain, Nancy Pelosi looked pretty panicked after this meeting.

If you ever watch a crime show like Criminal Minds or NCIS it soon becomes obvious that many episodes involve a similar plot. The investigators start to zero in on a suspect. Family members are questioned. They are immediately outraged that anyone would suspect their loved one. They loudly protest and tell the investigators they have the wrong person. My son(father, husband, brother, mother, sister, daughter etc.,) could never do something like that. Then, there is the moment when the investigators uncover the critical piece of evidence. This evidence is impossible to dismiss and even harder to ignore. This is when the family members are confronted with the awful reality. Not only is their loved one guilty, they have been lied to over and over again. It is always a brutal moment. In many cases the family member starts to go back over things that have happened in the past and looks at them in a whole new light. In some cases, they are filled with guilt because deep down they knew something was terribly wrong all along and they just could not bring themselves to believe it.

This is exactly what is about to happen to a lot of people who call themselves Democrats. They could not bring themselves to believe the reality about the crimes, yes crimes, committed by people like Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Loretta Lynch, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, John Brennan, James Clapper and a class of thousands. It is bad enough when one person lets you down. But in this case the entire leadership of the Democratic Party has a lot of hopelessly corrupt people. Unbelievably corrupt people. What makes this worse is that the fawning MSM led by people like Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon continued to report the ridiculous and ignore the obvious. Seldom in world history have so many people been betrayed by so many others who did so much damage with so little regard for anyone but themselves.

I believe we are on the verge of having that critical evidence put on full display and as Trey Gowdy said it is capable of being persuasive. There are numerous signs of this. Interviews of top Democrats are being released in unredacted form. Each one shows a consistent pattern of guilt. President Trump is promising to de-classify even more documents. He has publicly said he is waiting to release them for the time when they will have the most impact. We are soon to be inundated with hard evidence of criminal activity that will be impossible to dismiss and even more impossible to ignore. We already know how the guilty will respond. They will continue to lie while running for cover. The great unknown is how the Democratic base will respond when they are confronted with the reality that they have been lied to over and over again. Once someone has betrayed you with that level of duplicity it is a life changing event. In some cases, they may even be forgiven, but this is never forgotten, and no one will ever trust them again.

I know many liberals and Democrats who are men and women of honesty and character. They are not like this at all. They, like those family members, are victims only of believing in people who let them down. While some will continue to believe, this reminds me of the words of Abraham Lincoln:

“You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.”

This is so bad; it is easy to understand why a lot of people have difficulty accepting the truth. But ultimately facts are stubborn things and so far, the facts are all pointing in the same direction. At some point, that will become too obvious to ignore. If that happens, don’t be surprised if the loudest outrage comes from those who have been betrayed.

One of my favorite cartoons was a picture of the Lone Ranger and Tonto, huddled down behind a tree stump covered with arrows. The Lone Ranger says:  “well Tonto, this looks like the end.”  Tonto replies saying: “what do you mean white man?” II can’t find that original cartoon so the quotes are probably not 100% accurate, but you get the point.

The Russia collusion investigation has turned a major corner. No longer is anyone, including Brennan, Clapper, McCabe, Comey or anyone else pretending that use of that FISA warrant was appropriate. At first they just screamed and yelled in an attempt to scare William Barr. That did not work. Not only did Barr refuse to back down, he hired one of the most dangerous investigators alive to take this on. Now we learn that he has already been on the job for weeks.

Trey Gowdy was interviewed by Maria Bartiromo. He said that the FBI informants were wearing wires and there are transcripts of their conversation along with copies of emails, text communications and phone calls. He says he had listened to some of these and while he did not discuss specifics he said they have the potential to “persuade people.”

Sometimes the best way to tell what is happening is to watch how people react. It is particularly important to pay attention to people who actually know what happened. All of the usual suspects have drastically changed behavior over the past week. As I mentioned previously, they are no longer even pretending there is justification for that FISA application. They also are trying desperately to describe this as anything other than spying on a political campaign. They aren’t even trying to justify this because of something Trump did. They are focused finding someone else to blame. While the usual suspects at CNN etc. remain oblivious the smart people recognize a dangerous fire storm when they see it and they are frantically looking for an exit.

This is moving very fast. The next step is likely to be some very entertaining video of people you know being arrested by the FBI. This could look a lot like the incidents with Paul Manafort and Roger Stone. There is obviously something about being handcuffed and read your rights by a heavily armed FBI agent that changes one’s perspective of life. Enjoy!
