Democrats were over the moon. The State Department watchdog requested a closed door briefing on Wednesday regarding urgent information about the Ukraine. They thought they had Mike Pompeo on the ropes. Instead, the IG confronted them with documents they would have preferred to ignore.  Here is the MSNBC report on that meeting:

I knew something went off the rails because there were zero leaks about this meeting. If there had been something damaging to Trump it would have been leaked immediately. Instead, there was silence. Now we know why. The State Department IG delivered a packet of documents regarding Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, U.S. Ambassador Yovanovich and crowd strike. According to Bob Menendez, this:

“appear to contain long-debunked theories and false statements about the former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and one of President Trump’s political opponents.” “These documents provide further evidence of a concerted, external effort to conduct a disinformation campaign against a career U.S. ambassador who had been the subject of baseless attacks, including by the President himself.” Eliot Engel, Adam Schiff and Elijah Cummings released a joint statement saying the briefing and documents “raise troubling questions about apparent efforts inside and outside the Trump Administration to target specific individuals.”

They tried to dismiss these as an “irrelevant distraction from the matter at hand.”

The truth, actually quite obvious, is that Democrats came into this meeting expecting dirt on Trump and were confronted with documentation of misdeeds by Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Ambassador Yovanovich.  Even as recently as yesterday, some in the MSM reported that the IG was disclosing an attempt by Pompeo to intimidate staffers from providing information. Instead, the IG delivered documents gathered by Rudy Giuliani. It would have taken months for Giuliani to get congress to accept these documents. This was the ultimate sting. They stupidly sat on their high chairs like the fools they are and had no choice but to accept the documents they were terrified to receive. There was no attempt to validate or even investigate these documents, they were just immediately dismissed as irrelevant. Congressional representatives managed the impossible. They have lowered their personal credibility to a point below unbelievable.

It gets worse. In addition to lying on national TV, Adam Schiff may have put himself and the whistle blower in legal jeopardy. It is really quite simple. Few things in this government are more classified than a private conversation between a President of the United States and a Foreign chief of state. It was illegal for that whistle blower to release that information to congress or anyone else, other than through very carefully defined channels. It is also illegal for a member of congress to accept classified information that is obtained outside of those channels. That is why Adam Schiff said he didn’t know about this until he got notice from the IG. Now that it has been verified that the whistle blower contacted the intelligence committee directly, outside of approved channels, and they referred him to an attorney to assist in getting this filed properly. This is clear evidence of a very serious crime.

There are signs that even the fawning MSM is sick of this stuff. They still want to destroy Trump, but they are tired of eating crow. It is bad enough when Trump calls them fake news and the corrupt media. It is even worse when Democrats, through stupidity and incompetence, help him make the case. It seems inevitable that while the MSM will still avoid reporting honestly on Trump, they will be equally hesitant to trust anything said by these Democratic congressional representatives. Since the whole plan was to try this in the media, it looks more and more like the entire impeachment boat is blowing up before it was even launched.

There are few things worse than waiting there with bated breath, only to discover that it was actually baited breath and all you get is a whiff of your own bad breath.

Donald Trump recently said we are at war. He wasn’t talking about a foreign country; he was talking about the “deep state” establishment desperate to remove him from office. Colonel Ralph Peters was famously a Fox News expert commentator. His reason for resigning is significant:

“Today, I feel that Fox News is assaulting our constitutional order and the rule of law, while fostering corrosive and unjustified paranoia among viewers. Over my decade with Fox, I long was proud of the association. Now I am ashamed.”

He actually was  Lieutenant Colonel. He clearly hates Trump, but he also hated Rumsfeld and Obama. Yesterday on CNN he said the following:

“One word, sedition. Trump is inciting violence against the legitimate government of the United States and the constitutional order. And, Anderson, that is a grave crime. “You see Republicans on Capitol Hill just covering, just covering, afraid of Donald Trump, this bloated old charlatan who never served this country in any capacity and these Republican Patriots who served. They’re running to make excuses for him, cringing.”

Ironically, Peters did great harm to his own cause. This is an admission that the deep state, the entrenched establishment, believes it is “the legitimate government of the United States and the constitutional order.”

They are out to destroy Trump, because they fear, correctly, that he is out to destroy them. It must be pointed out that this war was started by Democrats. MSNBC host Donny Deutsch admitted this on Friday, July 26, 2019.

Democrats fired the latest shot by leaking the whistle blower complaint. Now the IG for the State Department is apparently going to testify before congress. He is allegedly bringing documents and one would suspect that they are all negative about Trump and Pompeo’s activities in the Ukraine.

Democrats are convinced that they have a winning hand here, because Trump is asking for foreign assistance to investigate corruption. They are oblivious to the consequences if he finds exactly that. They believe that he has no right to fight back against the legitimate government, the unelected establishment elite.

We all better hope and pray they fail, or we will simply lose our democracy. Regardless of one’s personal feelings about Donald Trump, he is the duly elected President of the United States. That is what the establishment simply cannot accept. They can’t accept the reality that yes, our constitution, puts full executive power in an elected official, a civilian. Combine that with someone who ran with a pledge to drain the swamp and the results are predictable.

They have been fighting back from day one. Trying to destroy him with constant leaks to their liberal supporters in the MSM. This president has been under attack from the day he was elected. They have never expressed any interest in accepting his election and have never even considered trying to work with him.

But now we are in a very different place. Many of the players in the conspiracy are out of power. Trump has assembled his own team, with people who are highly skilled and loyal to him. The Ralph Peters of this world have self-identified and removed themselves from positions of influence. Trump’s team, which has incredible resources, is on this. Those who weren’t up to the task are gone. He now knows that he must destroy them, or they will not stop until they destroy him. He is not fighting just for himself, he is fighting for the office of President of the United States. Trump is a man clearly hesitant to go to war. He knows that any war has casualties on both sides. But he is also a man ready, willing and able to defend this country against all enemies, foreign and domestic. The problem with the liberal left is that they failed to understand the consequences of being an enemy of our constitution and our way of government.

This is going to get very ugly. The attacks on Donald Trump will escalate rapidly. His enemies will move fast and viciously to destroy him. They are likely to strike some blows and do some damage. But in doing this, they have self-identified. They are exposing themselves as the real enemies of this country and like all other such enemies, they will be destroyed. Ironically, their hatred of Donald Trump is the only thing that made it possible for him to destroy them. It is almost impossible to get rid of the establishment. It is hard to fire them, and it is even hard to know who they are or what they are doing. As recently as this spring, The U.S. Ambassador to the Ukraine appears to have been deliberately sabotaging our efforts to investigate the obvious interference in the 2016 election. She is now gone.

This reminds me of the Tet offensive. The Viet Cong with support from the NVA attacked U.S. military installations all across South Vietnam. At first, it looked like a smashing success. They did manage to kill a lot of people and definitely terrified the establishment media. But they had stupidly launched an all-out assault on the most powerful military in the world, and in doing so they exposed themselves. The result was catastrophy for the Viet Cong. They killed about 1,300 U.S. military personnel. The U.S. destroyed over 25,000 of them and annihilated their chain of command. They never recovered, other than in the delusional minds of people like Walter Cronkite and liberal democrats in congress.

There was an interesting comment recently by Carl Bernstein. Bernstein was one of the Watergate reporters and he is virulently anti-Trump. He says that he is hearing reports that Barr has directed John Durham to investigate the origins of the Russia collusion hoax and the appointment of Robert Mueller. Jerry Nadler is hearing the same thing and said he considers this part of a “plot to dirty up the intelligence community, to pretend there’s something wrong with the beginning of the Mueller investigation and to persecute and bring into line the intelligence agencies.”

Dan Bongino said that Democrats are terrified because “the (Democratic) Party is starting to panic as the possibility of being linked to illegal spying, as the Department of Justice inspector general prepares to release his report on the matter.” When you see people on both sides of an issue reaching the same conclusion it is time to pay attention.

This latest fiasco reeks of desperation. The person who leaked information resulting in the whistle blower complaint came very close to committing treason. There are few things more secret than the private conversations between a President and a Foreign chief of state. This secrecy was already breached in the past, when conversations between Trump and other heads of state were leaked. That is the primary reason the current practice is to store the transcripts of those conversations on a secure server with extremely limited access.

Yet, someone with access, clearly leaked details. He or she got many of them wrong, but they at least tried to leak them. We can be certain that there is a 5-alarm search for whoever leaked those details and for the CIA agent that filed the whistle blower report.

There is more. There is evidence that whistle blower requirements were changed to allow reports based on hearsay evidence just before this report was received. There are reports that Adam Schiff got this report in August and sent people over to the Ukraine to investigate. The report itself, in addition to having glaring errors, sure appears to have been written by legal counsel.

The actual transcript shows Trump asking for nothing more or nothing less than for someone to investigate Joe Biden. His justification is beyond obvious. Biden is on public record bragging about forcing Ukraine to fire a prosecutor before he would release $1 billion in aid. It is not disputed that Hunter Biden was appointed to the board of Burisma two weeks after being discharged from the Navy for drug abuse. It is not disputed that he was paid $50,000 per month. It is not disputed that Burisma was definitely under investigation. The liberal left has tried to deflect this by saying Hunter Biden could not be held responsible for things that happened before his appointment, which is why they say Hunter Biden did nothing illegal. But, if Joe Biden got a prosecutor investigating corruption fired because someone paid his son $50,000 to sit on a board, that is corruption. That is particularly true when no one has another explanation for why Hunter Biden was worth this amount of money. There are reports that Chris Heinz, stepson of John Kerry, personally warned Hunter Biden about this and split up their partnership as a result.

So, that begs the question. Why? Why go all in on something so paper thin and something guaranteed to be discredited. The answer is because the alternative was even worse. That is what Bongino is saying. He says that the IG report is going to be so devastating that they are desperate to distract from it. What, may you ask, could be that bad. Bongino told us that too. Remember that Bongino was a Secret Service agent which means he probably still has a very high security clearance. He could learn things not available to anyone else. He says the IG report will say action was taken “in collusion with foreign governments.” That would be the ultimate bombshell.

Bongino is making a career out of publicly supporting Trump. He is as partisan as they come. But that does not mean he got this wrong. This is perilously close to a direct quote from the IG report which is on the verge of being released to the public. My hunch is that the IG report will be released almost simultaneously with indictments and arrests. In fact, the indictments and arrests could come first. That is what is done when there is a report that recommends criminal prosecution. The findings are given to the DOJ (already done) along with a referral for criminal prosecution. The most common reason for the DOJ to refuse to release information is that it is being used in a current investigation. They want the chance to interview witnesses etc. before the persons of interest even know they are being targeted. This the period of time when search warrants  are issued, and secret grand juries are impaneled. In other words, what Bongino says makes perfect sense and cannot be dismissed as partisan hype.

We will know shortly. One thing is very clear. Donald Trump views this as an assault on the office of President of the United States and he is going to fight back with his full arsenal. He believes he is not just protecting his own political future; he is protecting the office itself. Unlike his opponents who are counting on people like Jerry Nadler, Adam Schiff and their fawning supporters in the MSM, Trump has a team of very serious professionals on his side.

Congress is now in recess. My best guess is that this will explode while they are back home patting themselves on the back. At lot of people should be afraid, very afraid.

Geraldo Rivera knows all about making foolish assumptions resulting in massive public humiliation. Gerald learned about a “secret vault” located in the Lexington Hotel once owned by Al Capone. Geraldo was desperate to resurrect a failing career. He had been fired by ABC in 1985 after he criticized the network for cancelling a report regarding the alleged affair between John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe. The fact that the affair was actually true was irrelevant. Anyone who dared hint at criticizing John F. Kennedy had no future working for any network.

So Geraldo signed on to host a major TV special called “The Mystery of Al Capone’s Vaults”. It was a two hour special broadcast on April 21, 1986. After a massive build up, including arranging for a medical examiner in case they found bodies and agents from the IRS in case they found money, Gerald breathless reported on the opening of the Vault on live television. They didn’t find any bodies or any money. The found mostly dirt and some empty bottles. After several attempts to dig a bigger hole by trying to go further into the vault, Gerald finally admitted defeat and apologized to the viewers. Incredibly 30 million people were watching as Geraldo said: “Looks like we struck out.”

On April 20, 2016 Geraldo talked about this on “The Five” on Fox News. He admitted he went right across the street, drank himself silly, then went back to his hotel room and put a “Do not disturb” sign on the door. He described it as “tequila drunk.” He blamed this: “All because of a silly, high-concept stunt that failed to deliver on its titillating promise.”

That public humiliation will pale in comparison to what awaits the Democratic Party. The problem is that what Trump did was actually quite reasonable under the circumstances. That would be bad enough, but what makes this worse is that Democrats did far worse. In addition to the corruption of the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, Senators Robert Menendez, Dick Durbin and Patrick Leahy wrote a letter to the Ukraine.  Here is a copy of that letter:

In other words, these Senators did the same thing they falsely accuse Trump of doing. They asked a foreign government to investigate a U.S. President. If Donald Trump should be impeached, shouldn’t a United States Senator who did this be impeached? My favorite line is: “we believe that our cooperation should extend to such legal matters, REGARDLESS OF POLITICS.” They should have added, as long as you are investigating Donald Trump and not a Democrat like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden.  They are the ones who put politics in this. We “are disappointed that some in Kjiv appear to have cast aside these principles in order to avoid the ire of President Trump.”

This time, when Democrats open the “Impeachment Vault” they will not just find an empty room. They already achieved that with the Mueller Report. No, this time when they do break through and really open that vault, they are going to be greeted with an explosion that has the potential to destroy the Democratic Party. Odds are, they will still be too distracted by pure hate to notice and will just keep on digging, ultimately finding more bodies, all directly linked to prominent Democrats.

Another difference is that this time a lot more than 30 million people will be watching and the people putting on this show will be too stupid to at least follow Geraldo’s lead, admit their mistake and apologize. They are far more likely to double down on stupidity and compound the error.

Rudy Giuliani was on fire tonight during an interview with Laura Ingraham. This was so far over the top that he is either insane, senile or he was telling the truth. If he was telling the truth, the entire DNC leadership has fallen into a major trap from which there is no escape.

We may never know all the facts but consider the following. It is well documented that Trump was extremely angry about people in his administration leaking sensitive information to the press. He even fired his personal assistant for that. Now suppose that the loyal members of the administration discovered who was spying on them and leaking information. What would they do? They could confront this person and fire him or her. That would be fun, but what if they used this person to set a trap? What if they leaked details of a conversation between Trump and the President of the Ukraine? Only this person did not get a transcript of that call and did not actually listen to that call. He or she was relying on other people telling them about it. They wanted this person to leak this information, so they made it too juicy to ignore. The whistleblower thought he or she had the information needed to destroy Trump.

When, predictably, this person leaked his story to the MSM they swallowed it hook, line and sinker.  Nancy Pelosi literally made a public call to impeach Trump and almost every candidate for the DNC nomination immediately stood up to salute. They should have smelled a trap. This fell into the category of too good to be true. They failed to see the warning signs, such the whistleblower admitting he or she had not actually heard the conversation and had not seen a transcript of the conversation. But the Trump haters were too overjoyed to take a pause. They went all in, based on a whistleblower they don’ know, regarding a story they have not seen, about  a conversation he or she did not hear. It was insane. There were other warning flags that were ignored. The fact that the foreign minister of the Ukraine immediately discredited the report. That fact that Trump said he would consider releasing a full unredacted transcript. Then the biggest red flag of all, Republicans in the Senate voted to demand release of the whistleblower report. Unlike Democrats, at least some of them know exactly what is in that report. Some of them have also seen the transcript of the conversation. The liberal left stupidly assumed that the senators had turned on Trump. What if they got that backwards.

Then two things happened today. One is that there is a report that the IG has information that this person was a supporter of one of the DNC candidates and was prejudiced against Trump. That has the potential to totally discredit this report. What if the report contains material allegations, that are totally unsupported by the actual transcript. The Trump administration did this before with the allegations about Donald Trump, Jr. and the WikiLeaks release. Information was leaked with the wrong date. No one bothered to verify the date and it quickly turned out that the correspondence by Donald Trump Jr was after public release of those e-mails by WikiLeaks.

Now enter Rudy. He is on the Ingraham angle and he says the Democrats have fallen into a trap. He says he has documented evidence proving criminal acts by both Hunter Biden and Joe Biden.  He says he was asked by the state department to go to the Ukraine and get the documents. He even held up his phone and told Laura he could show the text messages verifying this.

We already know things that make this beyond credible. One is that there is literally a video of Joe Biden bragging about how he intimidated the Ukraine to fire their prosecutor.  The other is, well, Hunter Biden. He enlisted in the Navy when he was 44 years old. Two years later he was discharged when he tested positive for cocaine. When his brother Beau Biden died, Hunter divorced his wife and started an affair with his brother’s widow. He even admitted buying crack from homeless people. He cheated on his brother’s widow and married a South American model he only knew for a short time. Oh, he was also allegedly caught with drug paraphernalia in his car. He signed on the board of Burisma Holdings, Ukraine’s largest gas production and was paid $600 k a year. He recommended his own law firm, Boies, Schiller and Flexner to represent Burisma to protect against corruption. Right! Hunter has no experience in the energy field. He does not speak Russian and does not know the Ukraine. The least likely explaination for this appointment is that Hunter was a valuable asset.  It seems more likely that his sole value lay in his ability to ask his father for help.

The MSM made a token investigation and said there was no evidence to pursue. How convenient. But, if Rudy is telling the truth, he has that evidence. There have been numerous reports that people in the Ukraine were desperately trying to get this in the right hands. They did not trust the FBI. Who can blame them? The U.S. Ambassador delayed getting them visas. Trump fired the Ambassador and Giuliani was dispatched by the State Department to travel personally to the Ukraine to get his hands on the documentation. Last night he told Laura Ingraham he has this in spades.

If Rudy is right and he has undeniable evidence of blatant corruption by Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, that will go off like a bomb. What makes this worse is he says he has more information on the entire Obama administration, including Hillary Clinton.

With the decision by Nancy Pelosi and others to accuse Trump of a crime worthy of impeachment, Democrats now have to put up or shut up. That is bad enough, but all they may have done is make it impossible for the MSM to continue to ignore the Biden chronicles.

It is simple, if Trump was demanding that Ukraine investigate Hunter Biden for corruption, because he had hard evidence that Hunter Biden was corrupt then Democrats are about to experience the ultimate public humiliation.

We will know more tomorrow when that transcript is released. It sure looks like Democrats thought they had Trump on the ropes, and he countered with a vicious right cross.  Who knows, but we do know this. So far Democrats seem to have no facts supporting any of their theories while Trump just may have a mountain of evidence.  A lot of people, who should be smarter than this, just may have fallen into a trap from which there is no exit.

NOTE.  The transcript has been released.  CNN has already parsed this and views this as smoking gun evidence. But, the full transcript has been released and a lot of people will read it.  Certainly during an impeachment trial, the entire transcript will be introduced as evidence.  The president of Ukraine is the one who brought up corruption and said, like Trump, he was going to drain the swamp. Trump did ask him to investigate Biden, but his reason for this was Biden’s public admission that he got the Ukraine prosecutor fired.  Watch CNN try, but fail to ignore that. Trump also said that some of the inference in our 2016 election appeared to have come from Ukraine and he mentioned CrowdStrike.  CrowdStrike famously made a false report about Russia hacking Ukraine artillery.  To an objective reader, Trump wasn’t asking the Ukraine to interfere in our election, he was asking them to investigate whether or not it did that in 2016.  The MSM will spin like mad, but this is actually easy to understand for most people. That is going to be a huge problem for the liberal left.  This transcript actually does speak for itself and that will soon drown out the noise generated by the MSM. Trump’s opponents keep making the same mistake.  They are too obsessed by hatred to actually listen to him.

The most astonishing thing for me to understand is the incredible stupidity of the liberal left. So, let’s imagine for a second that the House really does vote to impeach Donald Trump for asking the Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden.

The opening argument for Trump might go something like this:

“The United States gave billions in foreign aid to the Ukraine. There have been numerous reports that at least some of that money was illegally diverted, some of it to U.S. citizens. One of the potential recipients was Hunter Biden. We do not know if those reports are accurate. That is not the question before you today. The only question is what a President of the United States should do under such circumstances.  Should he just ignore this and continue to approve giving massive amounts of aid with no attempt to verify that those funds are used appropriately? How, exactly, would that benefit the United States of America? Even if the alleged recipient of the funds is a relative of someone who may or may not be a political opponent, would that be grounds to just ignore this? That would seem to be the worst possible decision. Wouldn’t the fairest decision be to request a fair and impartial investigation based on evidence. That is exactly what the President requested.

Perhaps a better question is why would anyone think such an investigation is a bad idea? How could this possibly be a threat to our democracy? How could this possibly harm national security? Should the relative of a candidate for President be immune from any investigation of possible criminal acts? Would you have the same answer if that person was Donald Trump, Jr.?

Opponents of this President have conducted continual investigations regarding Donald Trump and his family before, during and after the 2016 election. Ironically, those who never hesitated to launch an investigation, based on zero evidence, for purely political purposes, now want to impeach a President and remove him from office for requesting an investigation of alleged serious criminal activity where there actually is evidence.

Democrats in the House of Representatives should be ashamed of this petition to impeach. It is nothing more or less than a flagrant abuse of power, perhaps influenced in part as an attempt to cover-up real misdeeds by their own candidate.

The point is that if Democrats did decide to impeach, based on this narrative, it would be a huge political blunder. Smart Democrats know this, which is why they will huff and puff, but will desperately try to avoid blowing their own house down. However the problem is that there may not be enough smart Democrats to stop those who are hell-bent on rushing full-speed ahead on the path to self-destruction.

One thing is certain. Democrats have shown little or no concern over the permanent damage to the United States caused by their irresponsible behavior. This is just further evidence regarding why they can never be trusted with absolute power. I am not sure, at this point, that they can be trusted with any power at all.

William Shakespeare warned about this in Hamlet. Hamlet had discovered a plot on his life by Claudius and resolved to let the plotter be “hoist with his own petard.”

The petard was an early version of a mine, which had to be lit with a fuse. If the fuse was set too short, the person placing the mine was blown up themselves. Since Hamlet was written around 1603, this is hardly a new concept.

The Democratic Party and its supporters in the liberal left are repeating this mistake. Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it. From day one Democrats have relentlessly attacked Donald Trump. They have accused him of lying, of colluding with Russia, of abuse of power etc. None of the accusations were based on anything resembling evidence. None of the previous assaults worked, which is why they quickly jumped on the whistle blower allegation. At last, they thought, we have the scoundrel where we want him. We have him colluding with the Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election.

It turns out the whistle blower didn’t actually have a whistle. CNN admitted the whistle blower didn’t even listen to the actual conversation. None of the people who actually did listen thought Trump did anything wrong. The Foreign Minister for the Ukraine says that they didn’t think Trump was applying pressure to them. I wouldn’t be surprised if the President of the Ukraine releases a statement saying they were the ones to bring up the subject because they were already investigating Hunter Biden.

This story will produce bombshell results; the explosion will impact Democrats more than Donald Trump. He may not be impacted at all. For the first time at least some members of the MSM are actually investigating actions taken by Hunter and Joe Biden in the Ukraine. Ultimately this will lead to asking some serious questions about actions taken by the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton.

The facts are out there, they have just been ignored. Hillary tried to go there in 2016 and perhaps intimidated Biden into not entering that race. Others have been reporting on this for over a year, but the MSM did not care. Some have suggested that the MSM would eventually report on this anyway. I personally think the MSM would have continued to ignore this. They would have just yawned, said there is no evidence and moved on without bothering to investigate.

That all changed with the decision by the usual suspects to go all in on the whistle blower story. The problem is that they can’t investigate Trump without investigating why he did this. This time the fuse was way too short and the people who planted this fake news story only blew up themselves. They should have paid more attention to Hamlet.

I thought that the liberal left was making a huge mistake by running wild with this whistleblower story. To my surprise, it is even worse than predicted. At this point, I even wonder if Trump might not have leaked this story himself. This may have been the only way to get the MSM to actually investigate the abuse of power by the Obama administration.

The true story is rapidly emerging. The Ambassador to the Ukraine was an Obama appointee.  She was recalled by the Trump administration in May. The Washington Post blamed this on:

“Trump family members and conservative media that have accused U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, without firm evidence, of being part of a conspiracy that involves anti-corruption probes in Ukraine and efforts by the Trump team to investigate ties between Ukrainian officials and the Hillary Clinton campaign.”

Of course , there is never any evidence, if no one looks and any attempt to investigate is blocked. It turns out that the Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. was reaching out to the Trump administration.

“Last month, Ukraine Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko opened a probe into the so-called “black ledger” files that led to Manafort’s abrupt departure from the Trump campaign. The investigation commenced after an unearthed audio recording showed that a senior Ukrainian anticorruption official apparently admitted to leaking Manafort’s financial information in 2016 — including his ties to pro-Russian actors in Ukraine — to benefit Clinton.

Ukrainian law enforcement officials said earlier this month they had a slew of evidence of collusion and wrongdoing by Democrats and were trying to share the information with U.S. officials in the Justice Department.

A Ukrainian court recently ruled that the Manafort document leak amounted to illegal interference in the U.S. election by parliamentarian Serhiy Leshchenko and Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU).”

Newsweek actually had the facts, they just ignored them. It reported in May of 2019 that Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko claimed in March that:

“U.S. ambassador Marie Yovanovitch had given him a list of individuals who should not be prosecuted.”

Newsweek was too busy trashing Trump and Giuliani to notice that this was actually a bombshell accusation that DEMANDED immediate investigation.

If they had done any investigation at all, they would have discovered something important. They would have learned that Ambassador Yovanovitch denied visas to Ukrainian officials who wanted to travel to the U.S. allegedly to deliver evidence against Obama administration misconduct.

John Solomon was reporting this in the Hill, but the MSM just ignored it.

She didn’t explicitly deny our visa, but also didn’t give it to us.’”

The list of allegations published by John Solomon in April of 2019 is astonishing. Yet the only one to give Solomon the chance to tell his story was Sean Hannity. In retrospect, the entire country may owe Sean Hannity as massive public apology and a standing ovation for standing up for the truth when no one else would.

• Sworn statements from two Ukrainian officials admitting that their agency tried to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election in favor of Hillary Clinton. The effort included leaking an alleged ledger showing payments to then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort;

• Contacts between Democratic figures in Washington and Ukrainian officials that involved passing along dirt on Donald Trump;

• Financial records showing a Ukrainian natural gas company routed more than $3 million to American accounts tied to Hunter Biden, younger son of then-Vice President Joe Biden who managed U.S.-Ukraine relations for the Obama administration. Biden’s son served on the board of a Ukrainian natural gas company, Burisma Holdings;

• Records that Vice President Biden pressured Ukrainian officials in March 2016 to fire the prosecutor who oversaw an investigation of Burisma Holdings and who planned to interview Hunter Biden about the financial transfers;

• Correspondence showing members of the State Department and U.S. Embassy in Kiev interfered or applied pressure in criminal cases on Ukrainian soil;

• Disbursements of as much as $7 billion in Ukrainian funds that prosecutors believe may have been misappropriated or taken out of the country, including to the United States.

To make this worse, Ukrainian official said they didn’t want to give the evidence to the FBI because they don’t trust the FBI.

There is actually video of Joe Biden bragging about pressuring the Ukraine to fire that prosecutor.

Of course, this pales in comparison to the abuse of power demonstrated by Donald Trump when he discussed firing Robert Mueller, who refused to investigate any of this and was instead spending millions investigating alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. An investigation which found no evidence at all. If Trump actually had obstructed that investigation, he would have doing the country a favor.

The problem for the liberal left is that ANY investigation of Trump asking the Ukraine to investigate this will expose the real cover-up conducted by the Obama administration with the fawning support of the MSM.

This is so bad that some ambitious member of the MSM is likely to seize the day with the potential to becoming the re-incarnation of Edward R. Murrow. Someone with the guts and the skill to just report the obvious facts just may become a national hero.

In spite of their best efforts, the cover-up has been permanently shredded.  The MSM has absolutely refused to even consider the possibility of wrongdoing by the Obama administration because they were too obsessed with destroying Donald Trump.

There is none so blind as those who refuse to see. Soon and very soon the truth will be obvious to almost everyone. Facts, are after all, stubborn things.

Few things in life are certain, but some things are easy to predict. One is that Adam Schiff is always loud, obnoxious and wrong on almost every subject. Incredibly, no matter how often he is exposed as a complete fraud, like the Energizer Bunny, he keeps coming back and CNN keeps dreaming the impossible dream.

His latest stunt ranks among one of the dumbest political ploys in American History. The MSM is hyperventilating over the alleged whistle blower who caught Donald Trump making irresponsible deals with a foreign government. Apparently they thought everyone would gasp at the horror of this and rush to join the impeachment chorus. But in their haste to do the job, they missed a couple of things that really matter.

One is that the President of the United States actually has the authority to make deals with foreign leaders. The person leaking details of such a deal is coming perilously close to committing treason.

Another is that if you point the finger at someone, you need to do some research to make sure you are not guilty of the same or worse. Just ask Justin Trudeau how that works. In this case the allegation is apparently with regard to the Ukraine. That would be the same Ukraine where Hillary Clinton went to seek dirt on Donald Trump.

They also failed to realize that if you report on Trump requesting something, you have to report what Trump was requesting and why. Oops. If you do that it soon becomes obvious that the real story is about corruption involving Joe Biden’s son and includes the very real possibility that Joe Biden accepted a bribe.

Finally, and you can’t make this up. It turns out that it wasn’t just Joe Biden’s son; it was also John Kerry’s stepson and their BFF James Bulger. James Bulger is the son of Massachusetts state senator Billy Bulger who named his son after his beloved brother, James “Whitey” Bulger. That would be infamous Boston gangster; “Whitey Bulger.” Has anyone ever heard the expression: “Like father like son?” In this case it may be a struggle to determine who is more corrupt, the sons (nephews) or the fathers(uncles)?

This was guaranteed to blow up in the MSM’s face. That has already started with the interview of Rudy Giuliani by Chris Cuomo. The MSM was too thrilled to learn that Giuliani admitted he asked the Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden to consider why he asked them to investigate Hunter Biden. It was because there is evidence Hunter Biden committed a major crime, duh. Giuliani quickly threw this back at Chris Cuomo asking why he didn’t investigate this. Does CNN only investigate corruption if it is allegedly done by Republicans? Rhetorical question.

To those liberals who don’t grasp the concept, this is actually simple. The MSM has been investigating Trump for things that are not actually crimes based on information that does not exist. There is a big difference between that and investigating someone for something that clearly is a crime and for which there actually is evidence. The cultured elite may not be able to grasp this concept, but most of the rest of us understand.

This couldn’t come at a worse time for Democrats. We have all these Hollywood Elites who got caught red-handed cheating to get their kids into college. The amounts spent are staggering. This is insane. Why on earth would why someone would pay $500,000 to get their kid, who doesn’t appear to even want to go to college, enrolled in USC. That is not just corrupt, it is stupid.

People are sick and tired of people buying their way into positions they have not earned. To heck with the non-existent white privilege, the real problem is green privilege. Other than the influence peddled by their fathers, it is hard to imagine why anyone would be interested in hiring Chris Heinz or Hunter Biden to do anything. What was so appealing about partnering with James Bulger, other than his personal experience with a notorious gangster who knows all about gaming the system.

This is so bad that the MSM may actually investigate this, if only to save face. They also might view this as the opportunity to get Biden, who they consider to be a big loser, out of the picture sooner rather than later. The least likely outcome is that this has any negative impact on the original target, Donald Trump. In his haste to take on Trump, Schiff may have instead landed the deadliest possible catch.

Self-inflicted wounds are often the most painful. That has never been truer with regard to the New York Times decision to run the latest hit piece on Brett Kavanaugh. Virtually everyone, including a lot of liberals, was immediately skeptical. The story fell apart almost immediately. This is not even a new allegation; it is a previous allegation that had been thoroughly discredited. The only people who took this seriously are people like Kamala Harris trying to breathe life into her failing presidential campaign. That was a major mistake, because it just made them look even more desperate. Kamala Harris then doubled down on stupid when she said just because there is no evidence doesn’t mean it never happened.

The few people willing to even attempt to defend this are trying to blame the FBI for not doing a thorough investigation. They are too stupid to realize that this is actually an admission that there never was any evidence; they just wanted another never-ending investigation to run out the clock on the Kavanaugh nomination. Fortunately even the RINO republicans like Jeff Flake stood up to that nonsense.

This was so obvious that even the ladies on the View shredded the New York Times. Joe Scarborough, yes that Joe Scarborough, sent out a tweet criticizing the stunning omission of a central fact. Then, to make this perfect, the Washington Post said we knew about this, but the story was too weak to publish. Ouch!

The real problem here is that it has destroyed the last remaining shreds of credibility for the New York Times and the liberal left. When even the people who have blindly supported you in the past start booing, the end is near. In the ultimate irony, the authors of this article claim the New York Times Editors deleted the exculpatory information they included in their book. That is probably true, because it was in their book. They would have little incentive to discredit their own work.

When these reporters were interviewed by MSNBC, they debunked everything. With each interview, it got worse. During an interview on “Mornings on the Mall” they said the following:

“felt like we were doing right by him and suggest the book details how good of a person Kavanaugh is.”

Seldom do we see anyone go to such great lengths to destroy their own credibility. It reminds me of a story told to me by a friend who was a prosecutor. The defendant was the alleged driver of a get-a-way car used in an armed robbery. He claimed he did not even know the two people he drove to the bank, they were just strangers he gave a ride. The prosecutor showed him a picture of a woman, not the actual bank robber, and asked him if he recognized her. He said: no, Lilly is much prettier than that! The entire court room burst into laughter. The Jury was out only long enough to write down guilty on the jury form.

I believe that we will see drastic action by the New York Times. When you go from the Grey Lady to the only media source with less credibility than CNN, the end is near. The fact that this is a self-inflicted wound from an unforced error just makes it more painful. It really doesn’t get any worse than this and that is now obvious to everyone paying attention.
