While the nation is fixed on the debate over the debt ceiling, a far more serious problem for the Obama administration is the Fast and Furious fiasco.\u00a0 This government, which is famous for micro-managing everything, is pretending they were not involved in this major operation.\u00a0 As you can see from this article, even the folks at CBS are not buying it anymore:<\/p>\n

Darrell Issa is handling this brilliantly.\u00a0 He is on the case, he is focused and he is not backing down.\u00a0 There are only three possibilities here:\u00a0<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0A bunch of rogue employees were running this massive scheme without knowledge of their superiors.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  2. This plan was developed and managed by senior ATF management without the knowledge or consent of the White House.\u00a0<\/li>\n
  3. This plan was developed, managed and directed by the Obama administration.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If 1 or 2 are true, then Eric Holder should be fired for incompetence.\u00a0 However, it is hard to believe either of the scenarios for several reasons.\u00a0 There would seem to be no real motive for such a scheme, other than plain stupidity.\u00a0 In addition it is becoming increasing clear that this program involved several governmental agencies with competing agendas.\u00a0 Anyone familiar with these agencies knows they are extremely competitive and they don\u2019t play well together unless someone gives them a direct order.<\/p>\n

    There are, unconfirmed, reports that this was ginned up by the White House, possibly even to the level of Obama, as a way to create a better case for gun control.\u00a0 The theory is that if the White House could show that guns from the U.S. are being used by the Mexican drug cartels there would be sufficient public outcry to finally get support for the gun control laws demanded by the liberal left.\u00a0 Anyone remotely familiar with Mexico knows that there are far easier sources of military guns and equipment from other parts of Central American than from the U.S.\u00a0 So there was an inconvenient lack of a problem.\u00a0 The solution was to create the problem, then take credit for fixing it.<\/p>\n

    So this is either a bizarre liberal leftist plot to force gun control laws down our throat, or it was just a record level of stupidity and incompetence.<\/p>\n

    The police have done this for years, so this is not new.\u00a0 Child pornographers are routinely caught by specially trained operatives who lure pedophiles into illegal acts.\u00a0 I am not criticizing that, it seems to be working pretty effectively and innocent people are not attracted by child pornography.\u00a0 But it is a far different matter when guns are given to criminals knowing they will be used to kill people.<\/p>\n

    This case is heating up rapidly.\u00a0 Every day there are new revelations and all of them are pointing more and more at top levels of the White House.\u00a0 Darrell Issa is a very dangerous man, because he is handling this professionally and efficiently.\u00a0 He isn\u2019t taking cheap political shots, like Henry Waxman, but he also isn\u2019t backing down.\u00a0 There is a well-trained blood hound on the scent and the rabbits are in deep trouble.<\/p>\n

    It appears to me that the Obama administration is desperately trying to stall the investigation to get them by the 2012 election.\u00a0 The only thing certain is that there is a massive cover-up in process.\u00a0 It is too bad the main stream media has shown such little interest in a very serious story.<\/p>\n
