The Canadian Free Press has some interesting articles.\u00a0 They despise Obama so I generally read their articles with a grain of salt.\u00a0\u00a0In this particular case, however, everything they are reporting is consistent with known facts:\u00a0<\/p>\n

This story has the potential to be beyond explosive.\u00a0 The NRA is one of the strongest political forces in this country.\u00a0 They not likely to be amused!\u00a0 Just think about this.\u00a0 During the last election John Kerry had a picture taken of himself pretending to duck hunt.\u00a0 John Kerry?\u00a0 Duck hunting?\u00a0 Please!\u00a0 It was so bad that even David Letterman could not resist a shot:<\/p>\n

“John Kerry went duck hunting and he’s doing that to fulfill his campaign pledge to hunt down the ducks and kill them wherever they are. Kerry did pretty well; he came back with four ducks and three Purple Hearts.” \u2014David Letterman<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Kerry did that because, like a lot of Democrats, he knows he cannot afford to be targeted by the NRA.\u00a0 Harry Reid only won re-election because of NRA support.\u00a0 Even if you\u2019re a democrat, being targeted by the NRA in much of the country is a fast track to retirement.<\/p>\n

The danger to the Obama administration has increased exponentially because of the obvious cover-up.\u00a0 As with most political scandals, the cover-up often does more harm than the underlying event.\u00a0 The best example of that was Watergate.\u00a0 It was, after all, all about nothing.\u00a0 Some people got caught bugging DNC headquarters.\u00a0 Who cares?\u00a0 Does anyone really think Democrats would have passed up on the opportunity to bug the RNC.\u00a0 (Remember Democrats actually got caught wiretapping Newt Gingrich\u2019s cell phone.)\u00a0 But the cover-up led to the resignation of Richard Nixon.<\/p>\n

Brett Hume is one of the most respected reporters in Washington.\u00a0 He is an experienced and careful man.\u00a0 Following are his comments on this issue:<\/p>\n

Hume: This is a real scandal. And once again we have the classic question \u201cwhat did the Attorney General, for example, know and when did he know it.\u201d This Obama Justice Department reminds me of nothing so much as the Nixon Justice Department. You have the scent of high level knowledge, of serious wrongdoing, and you have the smell of cover-up and I think the stench of cover-up on this gunrunning operation is very strong indeed.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0This is one time when the Canadian Free Press \u00a0big bang theory may have some real merit.<\/p>\n
