November 4, 1979, Iranian \u201cstudents\u201d seized the U.S. Embassy and detained more than 50 Americans. They were detained there until January 20, 1981; coincidentally the same day Ronald Reagan gave his first inaugural address.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was humiliating to see our Embassy overrun, Embassy employees held in captivity, and our President, Jimmy Carter, seemingly incapable of doing anything about it. He did authorize a rescue mission, \u201cOperation Eagle Claw<\/em>.\u201d It was a miserable failure, much like the rest of the Carter Presidency.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The CIA was involved in the overthrow of Iran\u2019s government in 1953 putting the Shah of Iran in power. Iran was a great ally of ours until the Iranian revolution in1979. Jimmy Carter visited Iran in 1977. He called Iran an \u201cIsland of Stability<\/em>.\u201d When the Iranian revolution broke out in 1979, the U.S. did not intervene. Carter even refused to allow the Shah to visit the U.S. for medical treatment. But later he changed his mind and let the Shah come anyway. That is what triggered the American Hostage fiasco.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Iran became the number one sponsor of terrorism in the world. It has supplied weapons to terrorist groups in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Gaza, and several other places. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Iran is famous for calling the U.S. the \u201cGreat Satan<\/em>\u201d and threatening to destroy both Israel and the U.S. It enabled attacks by terrorist groups it supports that have killed U.S. military personnel. To make things worse, Iran has been determined to obtain a nuclear weapon. While several nations have nuclear weapons, the only nation to use a nuclear bomb was the U.S. That happened in 1945 at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. President Truman ordered the use of atom bombs to convince Japan to surrender.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since then, no country has used a nuclear weapon because no sane person wants to see a war involving nuclear weapons. Many people fear that Iran would either use the threat of a nuclear weapon to hold Israel and the United States hostage or it would use such a weapon to destroy Israel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

American Presidents have been expressing concern regarding Iran getting a nuclear weapon for decades. It is obvious that Iran has been putting maximum effort into getting a nuclear weapon and has been working on developing ballistic missiles capable of delivering a nuclear weapon. Iran is run by people who believe that Israel must be destroyed. <\/strong><\/p>\n

This is why Israel attacked the nuclear facilities in Iran. It is why President Trump just ordered U.S. B2 bombers to attack Iran\u2019s nuclear facilities. Most people support this, because having a country like Iran in possession of a nuclear weapon is unthinkable. It is hard to imagine a more serious threat to our national security.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The mission ordered by President Trump was a tremendous success. The entire world watched in awe as our military strength was put on full display. No one knows what will happen next. Iran predictably launched another missile attack against Israel, but it is running out of missiles. Israel targeted the Iranian military chain of command and the results are stunning. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Before Democrats and RINO Republicans try to impeach Trump, they might want to do some research. Barack Obama attacked Libya without congressional approval. He routinely ignored the War Powers Resolution. He just sent a notification letter to Congress announcing that he was restarting the 60-day limit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even POLITICO admitted Obama\u2019s decision to intervene in Libya, while ignoring Iran, was a huge mistake. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cRather than helping the United States combat terrorism, as Gadhafi did during his last decade in power, Libya [began to serve] as a safe haven for militias affiliated with both al – Qa i da and the Islamic State of Iraq (ISIS). The Libya intervention has harmed other U.S. interests as well: undermining nuclear nonproliferation, chilling Russian cooperation at the U. N., and fueling Syria\u2019s civil war.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The difference between the decision made by Obama and the one made by Trump is enormous. Trump was facing a real, imminent threat to Israel and the rest of the world if Iran was able to obtain a nuclear weapon. Obama was responding to a UN resolution. Libya was a lot of things, but not a threat to the U.S. or its interests. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Russia is warning the U.S. about dangerous escalation. But the facts are that these strikes just told Moscow their air defense systems cannot defend against a U.S. attack. In addition, they admitted that Iran was working toward a nuclear weapon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dmity Medvedev admitted that: \u201cThe enrichment of nuclear material \u2013 and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons \u2013 will continue.\u201d <\/em>He also said that nations are prepared to give Iran a nuclear weapon. It is hard to imagine any nation that stupid.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He also said there was only minor damage to Iran\u2019s nuclear facilities. The pictures tell a vastly different story. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Russia has recently been threatening to use nuclear weapons. But if Russia used a nuclear weapon, anywhere, it would face an immediate threat of massive retaliation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Donald Trump knows exactly how to respond to a threat by anyone of using a nuclear weapon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kim Jong Un got the message. He later met directly with President Trump. With this attack on Iran, Trump just sent a strong message to Russia, Iran, China, and North Korea. We have the military capacity to take out their facilities. Trump is not intimidated by people who make hollow threats. He does not seek war with China, Russia, North Korea or even Iran. But the best way to maintain the peace is to show the world Trump can and will give the order to use our tremendous military assets if that becomes necessary. <\/strong><\/p>\n

If we learn anything from history, hopefully China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran will learn from Kim Jong Un and decide the United States may not be our friend, but they cannot risk making us an enemy.<\/strong><\/p>\n
