It is now crystal clear that the Obama administration is totally clueless with regard to the duty and responsibility of a President.\u00a0 The occasion called for a memorial service.\u00a0 Instead we got the kick-off to Obama\u2019s 2012 Presidential campaign.\u00a0 The Obama administration clearly recruited a crowd of avid supporters and directed them to fill the hall with loud applause.\u00a0 It was pathetic demonstration of supercilious sanctimony.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On October 25, 2002, Senator Paul Wellstone was killed in an airplane crash.\u00a0 Democrats, who simply cannot resist exploiting any tragedy replaced him as a candidate with Walter Mondale.\u00a0 They then took over his memorial service to run a Campaign Rally.\u00a0\u00a0 While Democrats thought this went really well, the people in Minnesota were appalled and it backfired.\u00a0 Mondale was trounced.\u00a0 Of course left wing blogs continue to report conspiracy theories of how Republicans killed Senator Wellstone.\u00a0 They fail to acknowledge that one of the reasons Wellstone was flying in such bad weather is that he was way behind in the polls.\u00a0 They had no reason to kill him, he was destined to lose.<\/p>\n

It is too early to get the full impact of Obama\u2019s performance at the Tucson Memorial service, but it sure looked like a repeat of the Wellstone fiasco.\u00a0 I was stunned and appalled.\u00a0 The wild cheering and rapturous introductions of the Democratic participants was just plain awful.\u00a0 No matter how the main stream media tries to spin it, the memorial service was turned into a campaign rally.\u00a0 It was beyond poor taste.\u00a0 It was just another shameless exploitation of tragedy.\u00a0 I would feel exactly the same if the participants had been Republicans.\u00a0 The contrast between this pep rally and the national prayer service put together by Bush after 9-11 could not be starker.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The main stream media is trying to spin this as a great performance by Obama.\u00a0 But, my guess is that a high percentage of people were just as disgusted as me.\u00a0 The campaign slogan tee shirts draped over each chair added a whole new level of weirdness.\u00a0 Have any of you been to a funeral lately where they handed out tee shirts with campaign slogans?<\/p>\n

Obama also droned on and on and on.\u00a0 He repeated himself several times and he was his usual arrogant self.\u00a0 The man cannot give a speech without thrusting his jaw out every time he pauses, in breathless anticipation of the adoration he deserves.\u00a0 I suspect that the KoolAid drinkers will continue to drink it in, but everyone else will be unimpressed.\u00a0 There were no great moments, no soaring rhetoric, just the same boring monotone Obama reading predictable clich\u00e9s.\u00a0 His greatest moment turned out to be a lie.\u00a0 Gabrielle Giffords opened her eyes Sunday, long before Obama got around to visiting her.\u00a0 Perhaps Obama really believed she had only opened her eyes after his visit, but it sure looked like a staged theatrical stunt.\u00a0 The problem is that this was obviously not true.\u00a0 Dr. Rhee reported on Sunday that she could open her eyes, but could not speak.\u00a0 The Sonoran Chronicle carried the story, but pulled it down after Obama\u2019s speech.\u00a0 Fortunate an alert blogger kept a screen print of the article:<\/p>\n

Naturally the main stream media continues to report the miraculous eye opening shortly after Obama\u2019s visit.\u00a0 Some have even stooped to referring him as the great healer.\u00a0 Please!\u00a0 I am very glad she can open her eyes, but the exploitation of this woman is mindboggling.<\/p>\n

Obama did say that political rhetoric had nothing to do with this incident.\u00a0 Some broadcasters felt that was a brave thing for him to do.\u00a0 That is nonsense.\u00a0 It was the very least he could have done.\u00a0 What he should have done is said that it is a national disgrace that people viciously attacked Sarah Palin when there was no evidence to support those attacks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since Democrats have already demonstrated a total lack of shame, I predict that soon we will have some kind of gun control legislation proposed by Democrats with Gabrielle Giffords name attached.\u00a0 Does anyone remember the \u201cBrady bill?\u201d\u00a0 The Giffords bill is soon to follow.\u00a0 Any legislation proposed by Republicans will be challenged by Democrats as failing to honor the tragedy.\u00a0 I Democrat will demand that the health care repeal vote and any other \u201ccontroversial\u201d legislation be suspended until she is able to return to office.\u00a0 Bills proposed by Democrats will be done in her honor.\u00a0 Of course when a Republican is temporarily unavailable Democrats just try to cram through legislation without them.\u00a0 The most recent example was with Senator Kirk from Illinois.\u00a0 Democrats tried to delay swearing him in until the last possible moment so they could shove more legislation through the lame duck congress.<\/p>\n

After watching Obama\u2019s performance one thought went through my mind, in addition to pure disgust:\u00a0 \u201cIf the American people are too stupid to see through this garbage, we are doomed.\u201d<\/p>\n
