Donald Trump recently said we are at war. He wasn\u2019t talking about a foreign country; he was talking about the \u201cdeep state<\/strong>\u201d establishment desperate to remove him from office. Colonel Ralph Peters was famously a Fox News expert commentator. His reason for resigning is significant:<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, I feel that Fox News is assaulting our constitutional order and the rule of law<\/u>, while fostering corrosive and unjustified paranoia among viewers. Over my decade with Fox, I long was proud of the association. Now I am ashamed<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

He actually was\u00a0 Lieutenant Colonel. He clearly hates Trump, but he also hated Rumsfeld and Obama. Yesterday on CNN he said the following:<\/p>\n

\u201cOne word, sedition. Trump is inciting violence against the legitimate government of the United States and the constitutional order. And, Anderson, that is a grave crime. You can argue about the meaning of treason, what constitutes it, what doesn\u2019t. Sedition is very clear cut, and you can ask your lawyers. To me this is as bald and plain as it could be.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cYou see Republicans on Capitol Hill just covering, just covering, afraid of Donald Trump, this bloated old charlatan who never served this country in any capacity and these Republican Patriots who served. They\u2019re running to make excuses for him, cringing.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ironically, Peters did great harm to his own cause. This is an admission that the deep state, the entrenched establishment, believes it is \u201cthe legitimate government of the United States and the constitutional order<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

They are out to destroy Trump, because they fear, correctly, that he is out to destroy them. It must be pointed out that this war was started by Democrats. MSNBC host Donny Deutsch admitted this on Friday, July 26, 2019.<\/p>\n

Trump responded by telling a private event that \u201cWe\u2019re at War\u201d \u201cThese people are sick.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Democrats fired the latest shot by leaking the whistle blower complaint. Now the IG for the State Department is apparently going to testify before congress. He is allegedly bringing documents and one would suspect that they are all negative about Trump and Pompeo\u2019s activities in the Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Democrats are convinced that they have a winning hand here, because Trump is asking for foreign assistance to investigate corruption. They are oblivious to the consequences if he finds exactly that. They believe that he has no right to fight back against the legitimate government, the unelected establishment elite.<\/p>\n

We all better hope and pray they fail, or we will simply lose our democracy. Regardless of one\u2019s personal feelings about Donald Trump, he is the duly elected President of the United States. That is what the establishment simply cannot accept. They can\u2019t accept the reality that yes, our constitution, puts full executive power in an elected official, a civilian. Combine that with someone who ran with a pledge to drain the swamp and the results are predictable.<\/p>\n

They have been fighting back from day one. Trying to destroy him with constant leaks to their liberal supporters in the MSM. This president has been under attack from the day he was elected. They have never expressed any interest in accepting his election and have never even considered trying to work with him.<\/p>\n

But now we are in a very different place. Many of the players in the conspiracy are out of power. Trump has assembled his own team, with people who are highly skilled and loyal to him. The Ralph Peters of this world have self-identified and removed themselves from positions of influence. Trump\u2019s team, which has incredible resources, is on this. Those who weren\u2019t up to the task are gone. He now knows that he must destroy them, or they will not stop until they destroy him. He is not fighting just for himself, he is fighting for the office of President of the United States. Trump is a man clearly hesitant to go to war. He knows that any war has casualties on both sides. But he is also a man ready, willing and able to defend this country against all enemies, foreign and domestic. The problem with the liberal left is that they failed to understand the consequences of being an enemy of our constitution and our way of government.<\/p>\n

This is going to get very ugly. The attacks on Donald Trump will escalate rapidly. His enemies will move fast and viciously to destroy him. They are likely to strike some blows and do some damage. But in doing this, they have self-identified. They are exposing themselves as the real enemies of this country and like all other such enemies, they will be destroyed. Ironically, their hatred of Donald Trump is the only thing that made it possible for him to destroy them. It is almost impossible to get rid of the establishment. It is hard to fire them, and it is even hard to know who they are or what they are doing. As recently as this spring, The U.S. Ambassador to the Ukraine appears to have been deliberately sabotaging our efforts to investigate the obvious interference in the 2016 election. She is now gone.<\/p>\n

This reminds me of the Tet offensive. The Viet Cong with support from the NVA attacked U.S. military installations all across South Vietnam. At first, it looked like a smashing success. They did manage to kill a lot of people and definitely terrified the establishment media. But they had stupidly launched an all-out assault on the most powerful military in the world, and in doing so they exposed themselves. The result was catastrophy for the Viet Cong. They killed about 1,300 U.S. military personnel. The U.S. destroyed over 25,000 of them and annihilated their chain of command. They never recovered, other than in the delusional minds of people like Walter Cronkite and liberal democrats in congress.<\/p>\n
