The fight is on.\u00a0 We are about to witness the political fight of our lifetime.\u00a0 This is totally unprecedented and this is going to be interesting to watch.\u00a0 For the first time, since the Revolutionary War, the American people are totally fed up with the political establishment.\u00a0 In 1776, it was England and King George.\u00a0 Just think of the issues that drove the revolution so many years ago.\u00a0 People were fed up over getting more and more taxes from a government that ignored their interests.\u00a0 They called it Taxation without Representation.\u00a0 They were also upset over being ruled by an arrogant aristocracy that felt it was entitled to make the rules for the little people.\u00a0 They were furious as restrictions on our personal liberties imposed by a government that did not believe in equal opportunity and self-determination.\u00a0 The same issues are what drive discontent in 2010.\u00a0 That is why so many people have joined the \u201ctea party.\u201d\u00a0 We have a congress full of incumbents in both parties that feels entitled to power.\u00a0 The only thing that is saving Republicans is that right now Democrats have complete control, so they get the lion\u2019s share of the blame.<\/p>\n
Two years ago people wanted change.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Foolishly, many people thought that Obama was the leader who could deliver real change.\u00a0 But they were not prepared for someone whose idea of change was to make everything even worse.\u00a0 \u00a0I believe the real message delivered yesterday in Delaware and New York was that people are fed up and they no longer want<\/strong> change, they demand<\/strong> change.\u00a0\u00a0 The only tea party endorsed candidate who lost was the one in New Hampshire, and she was endorsed by Sarah Palin.\u00a0 It is interesting to note that the only Republican RINO Senator to survive the primary this year was John McCain, after he was endorsed by Sarah Palin.\u00a0 It would be foolish to underestimate Sarah Palin.<\/p>\n I really think Delaware just woke up the Republican establishment.\u00a0 They can no longer pretend that this is just people upset with Obama and Democrats in general.\u00a0 The American people have revolted, only they are doing it at the ballot box rather than the battle field.\u00a0\u00a0 This year we are going to see a lot of candidates, true outsiders, promising real change.\u00a0 Notice how candidates like Carly Fiorina are not even bothering to shift to more acceptable liberal positions on subjects like gay marriage and abortion.\u00a0 I saw the Republican candidate for Governor in New York interviewed on CNN.\u00a0 They asked him about Gay marriage.\u00a0 He said:\u00a0 \u201cno.\u201d\u00a0 No spin, no \u201cexplanation\u201d no backpedalling, just \u201cno.\u201d\u00a0 For the past twenty years and more, liberal positions on social issues was often the deciding factor for independents.\u00a0 This year, independents want real change and they are going to vote for whoever they think is ready, willing and able to deliver it.\u00a0 The Republican establishment on Monday was saying Christine who?\u00a0\u00a0 On Tuesday night they were saying \u201cno way Jose.\u201d\u00a0 On Wednesday morning, they started saying \u201chow quickly can we get on board.\u201d\u00a0 They aren\u2019t doing this because they like her or they like her message.\u00a0 They are doing this because the people running political polls have warned them that a political storm is developing and it is growing out of control.\u00a0\u00a0 If they don\u2019t move, they will be swept out with the tidal wave of public opinion.\u00a0 When threatened with a storm of this magnitude, you either get out of the way, you go with the flow or you just go.<\/p>\n The only hope Democrats have now is to find so much dirt on some of these \u201cnewcomers\u201d that they will become unelectable.\u00a0 They tried that with Rand Paul by pretending he was a racist.\u00a0 It didn\u2019t work.\u00a0 But they will continue to try it with people like Christine O\u2019Donnell, because they have nowhere else to go.\u00a0 Watch for one of the most vicious, dirty, no holds barred political dog fights in our nation\u2019s history.\u00a0 \u00a0Like in any war, it is impossible to predict what will happen.\u00a0 But, right now, it is real easy to see who has momentum and who is running for their lives.<\/p>\n TDM<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The fight is on.\u00a0 We are about to witness the political fight of our lifetime.\u00a0 This is totally unprecedented and this is going to be interesting to watch.\u00a0 For the first time, since the Revolutionary War, the American people are … Continue reading
