The liberal left is waking up to a world class hangover.\u00a0 It started with Harvey Weinstein.\u00a0 Everyone knew he was a disgusting pervert, but they didn\u2019t care as long as he brought them fame and fortune.\u00a0 Now that his ability to deliver fame and fortune has disappeared, the truth about him is on full display and his strongest supporters are running for the exits.\u00a0 All it took was for one news organization to report the truth.\u00a0 A New York Times reporter, Jodi Kantor, got permission to investigate this and report on it.\u00a0 Once that happened, Weinstein was toast.<\/p>\n

When the Weinstein story broke, a lot of people finally sobered up, realized who they were actually sleeping with, threw up and for the first time in decades actually looked at themselves in the mirror.\u00a0 It was a life changing experience.<\/p>\n

Now those same people are looking around and seeing things clearly for the first time in forever.\u00a0 Bill and Hillary Clinton are just as disgusting as Harvey Weinstein with the added component that they literally sold our national security for 30 pieces of silver.\u00a0 They also lied to everyone, including those who were stupidly willing to believe them.\u00a0 It is an irredeemable breach of trust.<\/p>\n

The Clinton cover-up continued, until this week.\u00a0 That all changed overnight.\u00a0 Suddenly the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Associate Press and many other news organizations are reporting the facts about the Clintons and the facts are really ugly. Perhaps this is a carryover from the Weinstein effect.\u00a0 What triggered it is a letter from Matthew Gehringer, General Counsel for Perkins Coie, LLP to William W. Taylor III at Zuckerman Spaeder, LLP:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis letter confirms that: To assist in its representation of the DNC and Hillary for America, Perkins Coie engaged Fusion GPS in April of 2016 to perform a variety of research services during the 2016 election cycle<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

KABOOM<\/p>\n

As recently as last week, Fusion GPS officials were pleading the 5th<\/sup> Amendment to resist testifying under oath before a congressional committee.\u00a0 They were also resisting subpoenas from a congressional committee to avoid admitting who funded this research.<\/p>\n

\u201dOne of the arguments used to resist these subpoenas was: \u201cthe records would reveal the identities of all of Plaintiff\u2019s clients, contractors and vendors, most of whom have zero relevance to [the committee\u2019s] Russia investigation.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Perkins Coie called their bluff.\u00a0 Anyone involved with litigation for a major corporation is very familiar with Perkins Coie.\u00a0 This is one of the largest and most respected law firms in the country.\u00a0 This letter, written by the General Counsel for Perkins Coie is obviously intended to distance themselves from Fusion GPS, the DNC and the Hillary for America campaign.\u00a0 They literally threw everyone under the bus.\u00a0 This is nothing short of a public divorce.\u00a0 Anyone remotely familiar with Perkins Coie and how they operate will recognize the significance of this event.<\/p>\n

This is a major bombshell and it is always hard to estimate the full extent of the damage.\u00a0 All we know at this point is that this is far too big to ignore.\u00a0 I wouldn\u2019t be surprised if Robert Mueller is confronted with bi-partisan requests for his resignation and a bi-partisan demand for a truly independent counsel to investigate this.\u00a0 Robert Mueller sure looks a case study in hiring the fox to guard the hen house. Even the most character challenged Democratic rat has to be looking for the easiest exist from this rapidly sinking ship.\u00a0 Democrats will try and fail to pretend there is still a need to investigate alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia but under the circumstances that looks absurd.<\/p>\n

This is as devastating as it gets.\u00a0 Immediate action is required to restore faith in the Department of Justice.\u00a0 The main stream media should be more than embarrassed, they should be humiliated.\u00a0 I expect them to turn on the DNC and Hillary Clinton with unstrained outrage.\u00a0 Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned or a complacent media lied to continuously and sanctimoniously for the last year.\u00a0 Actually they\u2019ve been lied to for eight of the last nine years.<\/p>\n

CNN, of course, will desperately try to ignore this story and then downplay the significance while simultaneously pretending some trivial thing done by the Trump campaign is smoking gun proof of the crime of the century.\u00a0 That hasn\u2019t worked all year and it won\u2019t work now.\u00a0 The longer they continue ignoring what is now more than obvious the more damage they are doing to their network.\u00a0 If only I cared.<\/p>\n
