President Trump gave a press conference today. The main stream media was there in force. It is too bad they didn\u2019t bother to listen. Trump did something extremely rare in the history of the U.S. Presidency. He told us the unvarnished truth, without regard to the political consequences.<\/p>\n

Contrary to what is reported in the main stream media, Trump did not hesitate to denounce the KKK, White Nationalists and any other white supremacy group. He did not offer any excuse for them or their behavior.\u00a0Trump\u00a0also condemned the man who\u00a0drove his car into the crowd. But he refused to\u00a0ignore the violence by the alt-left groups like Antifa. He pointed out that\u00a0a lot of people on the alt-left came there looking for a fight. He asked why they should\u00a0be held to blame for their actions. Trump pointed out, correctly, that not everyone protesting the removal of the statute of Robert E. Lee is a white supremacist.<\/p>\n

What Trump said was the truth. It was truth the liberal left did not want to hear, but it was still the truth. There is a serious problem with violence by alt-left groups like Antifa. The main stream media was so busy ripping Trump with regard to Charlottesville they ignored violent protests organized by Antifa against a pro-Trump prayer meeting in Washington State just like the ignored the violence in Berkeley and other places.<\/p>\n

In 1770 John Adams lead the defense team for the British soldiers accused of murder during a riot in Boston. Just imagine trying to defend the British soldiers who participated in the Boston Massacre. John Adams did just that and his words are more than appropriate today:<\/p>\n

\u201cFacts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Trump said the same thing today. No one disputed the facts, they just didn\u2019t care. However, a lot of people saw this press conference and my hunch is the media will be shocked to learn that many of them agree with Trump. Facts indeed are stubborn things and at some point even the main stream media might figure that out.<\/p>\n
