I have spent a lot of time in New York and as a result New York values are pretty obvious to me.\u00a0 Both Ted Cruz and Donald Trump have it part right and part wrong.\u00a0 Cruz describes New York values as the liberal positions taken by the Democrats currently running New York.\u00a0 Donald Trump describes New York values as the fireman responding to 9-11.\u00a0 Both opinions are based on facts, but neither accurately explains \u00a0New York values. There is definitely are New York values that affect how New Yorkers view the world and how they make decisions.\u00a0 That was on full display yesterday.\u00a0 New Yorkers all know the words to \u201dNew York, New York\u201d<\/u><\/strong> and this reflects their true value structure.\u00a0 They love their city, they think it is the center of the universe and if someone succeeds any place other than New York, it doesn\u2019t matter. They view everything and everyone from New York as bigger than life and certainly far more important than anyone from anywhere else.<\/p>\n

New Yorkers will always go for \u201csomebody\u201d<\/strong> rather than \u201cnobody.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 If the \u201csomebody\u201d<\/strong> is from New York, nothing else matters.\u00a0 Donald Trump is \u201csomebody\u201d<\/strong> and he is from New York.\u00a0 Ted Cruz is \u201cnobody\u201d<\/strong> and he is not from New York.\u00a0 Nothing else matters.\u00a0 Hillary Clinton is \u201csomebody\u201d<\/strong> and she is from New York.\u00a0 Bernie Sanders is \u201cnobody\u201d<\/strong> and he is not from New York.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump had a great win in New York and it may give him momentum that sweeps him to the nomination.\u00a0 It may not.\u00a0 If Trump starts behaving like an adult, he could win.\u00a0 If he keeps talking about \u2018Lying Ted\u201d<\/strong> and insulting people, not so much.\u00a0 He would be smart to ignore Cruz, but I don\u2019t think he is capable of that level of self-control.<\/p>\n

It really depends on three states, Pennsylvania, Indiana and California.\u00a0 If Cruz gets wiped out in Pennsylvania the way he did in New York it will be hard for him to recover.\u00a0 But if Pennsylvania is even close and Cruz wins in Indiana and California, which is more than possible, he is the one likely to win the nomination. It is a lot like sports.\u00a0 Timing is everything and peaking too early happens all the time.\u00a0 If Trump does not have enough delegates to win on the first ballot, then all the delegates will focus on the second ballot.\u00a0 If Cruz comes in having won a lot of states and has just won big in Indiana and California he is going to look like he is peaking at the exact right moment.\u00a0 The early wins by Trump in January and February and even April will fade into oblivion.<\/p>\n

This means, that California is very likely to be the state that decides the Republican nomination.\u00a0 The Trump campaign knows that.\u00a0 The Cruz campaign knows that and the main stream media will eventually figure that out.\u00a0 The Calfornia Primary will be held on June 7th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Brace yourselves, because we about to be invaded with wall to wall campaigning.\u00a0 We will be inundated with political ads at a level never seen before.<\/p>\n

As for now, there is a significant chance that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee. \u00a0Few people have actually heard Ted Cruz speak other than in 30 second responses asking stupid questions during poorly coordinated debates.\u00a0 His message has been drown out by the non-stop free media coverage of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Very few people even know Rafael Cruz exists, but it turns out he has a lot to say.\u00a0 Following is from an interview by Ted Cruz\u2019s dad.\u00a0 Are you sure he got this wrong?<\/p>\n

\u201cLiberalism is not the answer and neither is Donald Trump.\u00a0 We need to realize that we are in the problems we are today because of all these corrupt politicians.\u00a0 We don\u2019t really need a deal maker.\u00a0 We are where we are in American today because of all the corrupt deals that have been made behind closed doors at the expense of the American people and Donald Trump represents the other spectrum of that.\u00a0 Donald Trump is one or one of the ones that has been funding all these corrupt politicians.\u00a0 He is the other end of the corruption.\u00a0 He is the ultimate crony capitalist.<\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We don\u2019t need a deal maker.\u00a0 We don\u2019t need a bully.\u00a0 We don\u2019t need another imperial president like we have today.\u00a0 We need a statesman.\u00a0 We need someone that will take American back to the Constitution, to the rule of law, to limited government.\u00a0 We need, more than anything else, we need a servant of \u201cwe the people.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
