Donald Trump is threatening to boycotting the Fox News debate Thursday:<\/p>\n

“I probably won’t be doing the debate. I’m going to have something else in Iowa,”\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

His campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, confirmed that Trump would \u201cdefinitely not\u201d<\/strong> participate in Thursday\u2019s Fox News Debate.<\/p>\n

This could be a game changing decision.\u00a0 This is strong evidence that Trump\u2019s arrogance has reached the point where he thinks he is invincible.\u00a0 This is consistent with his argument that he\u00a0 could shoot somebody on 5th<\/sup> avenue and no one would care.<\/p>\n

I am absolutely certain that Chris Wallace, Brett Baer and Megyn Kelly are seething with anger at this.\u00a0 They are all professionals and they will try to hide this, but the anger will be there.<\/p>\n

Fox has already responded with the following:<\/p>\n

“We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president. A nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Those people opposed to Donald Trump were just handed a major gift.\u00a0 The chink in his armor.\u00a0 Notice that Fox News is taking the position that Donald Trump is afraid of them.\u00a0 The man who is bragging about standing up to everyone is apparently terrified of Megyn Kelly.\u00a0 Ouch!<\/p>\n

Some in the media think this will help Trump, because the debate will be all about him and he won\u2019t have to say anything.\u00a0 They could be right about that.\u00a0 But I suspect a lot of people will recognize that this behavior is childish and immature.\u00a0 It is fun to watch, as a celebrity candidate.\u00a0 It will not be fun to have a President of the United States even more thin-skinned and childish than the current one.<\/p>\n

I wish everyone in the Debate Thursday night would just ignore Trump, but of course that won\u2019t happen.\u00a0 Trump thinks that ratings will go way down because he is not there.\u00a0 That may not happen either.\u00a0 In fact, the opposite may occur.\u00a0 People may tune in just to watch the fireworks.\u00a0 If that happens, this was a huge blunder by Trump.<\/p>\n

I learned this when I was eight years old.\u00a0 If someone gets mad, picks up his ball and goes home the ultimate revenge is to play the game without him and have a great time.<\/p>\n
