During November 2015 a little more than 2.2 million people bought a gun requiring a National Instance Criminal Background Check.\u00a0 So far, there have been over 19.8 million checks this year.\u00a0 This is not exactly a new trend.\u00a0 There were over 21 million checks during 2013.<\/p>\n

While the liberal left is screaming for gun control, honest citizens all over the country are buying guns.\u00a0 We should put this in perspective.\u00a0 During the November 2012 election there were approximately 235 million eligible voters and a little more than 129 million people actually voted.\u00a0 In order to win an election, a candidate needs to collect 50.1% of the vote.\u00a0 This means it will probably take a little over 65 million voters to win the next national election.\u00a0 \u00a0About 1\/3 of that total bought a gun this year<\/strong>.\u00a0 Since the 2012 election, close to 60 million people have bought guns.<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0Even if we assume a lot of duplicates, that is a lot of people buying a lot of guns.<\/p>\n

It is really quite simple.\u00a0 If you wait for the police to get arrive on scene and save the day you are likely to end up dead. In San Bernardino the police responded in 4 \u00bd minutes.\u00a0 By the time they got there the shooters were gone, 14 people were dead and many more injured.\u00a0 The police got there they found a lot of people hiding in another room.\u00a0 They were afraid to make an entry because they feared these people were being held hostage. Those of you watching this play out on the news will remember the \u201cactive shooter\u201d<\/strong> reports etc.\u00a0 If there had been an active shooter, it might have been quite a while before police determined it was safe to make an entry.\u00a0 So, how long would you be willing to wait?<\/p>\n

What would have happened if there had been someone there with a CCW.?\u00a0 One thing is certain.\u00a0 It could hardly have been worse.<\/p>\n

The liberal left is convinced that a gun owner is more likely to shoot themselves than a criminal.\u00a0 That is nonsense.\u00a0 It ignores the simple reality that in most cases when an armed citizen draws a gun in self-defense the bad guys leaves. Most of the shootings are gang related. If you doubt that, watch the news for shootings in your area.\u00a0 Check out how many are \u201cgang related.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now tell me about the last time you heard about someone being shot with their own gun.\u00a0 Don\u2019t remember?\u00a0 Tell me the last time you heard about a CCW holder shooting an innocent bystander.\u00a0 Don\u2019t remember that either.\u00a0 If that was happening, you would know.\u00a0 The liberal left would jump to exploit that the same way they reacted to the Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown cases.<\/p>\n

The question is this: \u201cIf you were trapped in a building and there was some terrorist shooting everyone in sight, would you rather have a gun or not?\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 Last month more than 2 million people answered that by buying a gun.<\/p>\n

A lot of those people are going to vote.\u00a0 Democrats are rapidly running out of stupid people.<\/p>\n
