{"id":266,"date":"2010-06-22T09:36:49","date_gmt":"2010-06-22T16:36:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scotshonor.com\/?p=266"},"modified":"2010-06-22T09:36:49","modified_gmt":"2010-06-22T16:36:49","slug":"mcchrystal-ball","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scotshonor.com\/?p=266","title":{"rendered":"McChrystal Ball"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are missing something here.\u00a0 McChrystal has a long record of breaking things where ever he was posted.\u00a0\u00a0 His command post in Iraq was a black ops operation, where he was famous (infamous) for hunting down key terrorists.\u00a0\u00a0 He also was in charge of the prison at Camp Nama, where much of the alleged prisoner abuse took place.\u00a0 This is one hard guy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.time.com\/time\/politics\/article\/0,8599,1897542,00.html\">http:\/\/www.time.com\/time\/politics\/article\/0,8599,1897542,00.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then, he takes over in Afghanistan and starts pushing rules of engagement that are limp wristed and silly.\u00a0 He fervently enforces them.\u00a0 There is nothing about McChrystal\u2019s background that would suggest he would go soft on anyone.\u00a0 My guess is that the Obama administration ordered him to \u201csell the soft war approach\u201d and it stuck in his craw.\u00a0 \u00a0It just may be that McChrystal couldn\u2019t take it any more:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/blogs\/beltway-confidential\/mcchrystals-real-offense-96873364.html\">http:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/blogs\/beltway-confidential\/mcchrystals-real-offense-96873364.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It will be extremely dangerous for Obama if McChrystal is required to testify before congress.\u00a0 I am sure the Obama administration will try desperately to prevent that.\u00a0 I am not sure they can succeed, because this is far too public and just too juicy to ignore.\u00a0 Perhaps McChrystal lost one too many good men because of the rules of engagement demanded by a Commander in Chief he cannot respect.<\/p>\n<p>TDM<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are missing something here.\u00a0 McChrystal has a long record of breaking things where ever he was posted.\u00a0\u00a0 His command post in Iraq was a black ops operation, where he was famous (infamous) for hunting down key terrorists.\u00a0\u00a0 He also &hellip;
