In 1925 Tennessee passed the Butler Law.\u00a0 It prohibited the teaching of evolution in our public schools.\u00a0 John Thomas Scopes was convinced by the ACLU to challenge the law in court.\u00a0 The result was a very public show trial with Clarence Darrow, a famous criminal attorney representing Scopes and William Jennings Bryant, a dying politician, assisting in the prosecution.\u00a0 It was a fiasco from start to finish.\u00a0 The following link provides interesting details on the trial:<\/p>\n
http:\/\/xroads.virginia.edu\/~ug97\/inherit\/1925home.html<\/a><\/p>\n The typical liberal spin on the case is that Clarence Darrow carried the day by humiliating Bryant:<\/p>\n “You have given considerable study to the Bible, haven’t you, Mr. Bryan?” The sad reality is that largely as a result of this fiasco, our children have been force-fed the theory of evolution for decades.\u00a0 Clarence Darrow has been deified and William Jennings Bryant dismissed as an ignorant, out-of-touch right-wing Christian buffoon.\u00a0 One will note that Clarence Darrow was literally picking on a dying man.\u00a0 Bryant died five days after the trial was over.<\/p>\n During the 2008 primary season Republican candidates were constantly questioned about their view of evolution.\u00a0 The New York Post ran a major article about this, as did most of the main stream media:<\/p>\n http:\/\/nymag.com\/daily\/intelligencer\/2011\/08\/evolution_gop_candidates.html<\/a><\/p>\n For example:\u00a0 Rick Perry was dismissed as too stupid to be President because he said that:\u00a0 <\/i><\/b>\u201cevolution is merely a theory that\u2019s out there, with some gaps.\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n The New York Post was: \u201cShocked to witness a Presidential candidate question the validity of one of the most basic and universally accepted tenets of science?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n This is mind boggling stupidity here, by the New York Post.\u00a0 Our children are taught that all of life started when a couple of amino acids accidently bumped uglies setting off a miraculous chain of events.\u00a0 Scientists are not sure how this happened, but they are absolutely certain that no creator was involved.\u00a0 This miraculous conception was followed by millions of other undocumented and high improbable miracles resulting in the magnificent world we see today.<\/p>\n In reality evolution itself is evolving because every time they find a new fossil they have to revise the theory to make up for inconsistent facts.\u00a0 The latest example of this was found in the following New York Times article:<\/p>\n http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2013\/12\/05\/science\/at-400000-years-oldest-human-dna-yet-found-raises-new-mysteries.html?_r=0<\/a><\/p>\n Notice how scientists are now \u201crethinking\u201d<\/i> <\/strong>human evolution over the past few hundred thousand years.\u00a0 They even propose that there may be many extinct human populations that scientists have yet to discover.\u00a0 Oh how easy it is for scientists to assume that all the gaps in any unproven theory is explained by things yet to be discovered. \u00a0Please!<\/p>\n I believe that if a Scopes trial was held today and an evolutionist was put on the stand and questioned by someone like Clarence Darrow they would make William Jennings Bryant look like a Rhodes Scholar.\u00a0 The reality is that in spite of academia preaching the gospel of evolution for decades the vast majority of Americans aren\u2019t buying it.\u00a0 According to the following article only 21% of Americans believe that modern humans evolved without some kind of divine intervention:<\/p>\n http:\/\/today.yougov.com\/news\/2013\/07\/22\/belief-in-evolution-up-since-2004<\/a><\/p>\n The majority of folks aren\u2019t buying this crap because the vast majority of them recognize crap.\u00a0 I wish just one Republican candidate for President would have responded by saying:\u00a0 \u201c<\/i><\/b>what an incredibly stupid question.\u00a0 Perhaps a better question is why you believe in evolution in spite of the overwhelming evidence against it?\u201d\u00a0<\/i> <\/i><\/strong>Why do Republicans get defensive when asked really stupid questions?\u00a0 Granted the majority of the main stream media swallows evolution hook line and sinker.\u00a0 They also swallow global warming hook line and sinker.
