I do not know how to speak Russian.\u00a0 I do know that \u201cDo svidaniya!\u201d means goodbye.\u00a0 But then they say something else that I really don\u2019t understand.\u00a0 So I came up with the phrase Do syvidaniya! Virginia Sneaky.\u00a0 I doubt that this is close to accurate, but it sounds good to me.\u00a0 Please keep in mind that I am also hard of hearing so my chances of hearing anything correctly are rather marginal.\u00a0 I do believe that \u2018Virginia Sneaky\u201d<\/strong> actually is a pretty good description of the governor\u2019s election in Virginia.<\/p>\n

Democrat, Terry McAuliffe will probably win by a big margin.\u00a0 For one thing he has outspent his opponent by several million dollars.\u00a0 In addition, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden have traveled to Virginia to campaign for him.\u00a0 Democrats have been running the traditional smear the Republican campaign against his opponent, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli. \u00a0Democrats are convinced that once again the abortion issue will trump everything else.<\/p>\n

Even the Republican Establishment is rooting for Cuccinelli to lose, because it fears a victory by him will inspire Tea Party Candidates to take on RINO Republicans.\u00a0 The Republican establishment remains convinced that compromise is the pathway to victory.<\/p>\n

As recently as this weekend, all the polls showed McAuliffe leading by a big margin.\u00a0 A couple of recent polls have shown the race tightening \u201cwithin the margin of error\u201d<\/strong> but that almost always means the Democrat still wins.\u00a0 So, it would be foolish to predict that Cuccinelli pulls this off.<\/p>\n

But, recently, Cuccinelli has been running solely on the issue of ObamaCare.\u00a0 He points out, correctly, that McAuliffe wants to expand it and as Attorney General Cuccinelli sued the federal government to try and stop it.<\/p>\n

He has only been doing this for about six minutes, so this is the ultimate political \u201cHail Mary\u201d pass and is unlikely to work.\u00a0 But what if it does work?<\/p>\n

This is one election where Republicans have everything to gain and nothing to lose.\u00a0 If McAuliffe wins it will only show that money and a well-coordinated smear campaign can still win elections.\u00a0 McAuliffe is the odds on favorite.\u00a0 He is expected to win.\u00a0 But if Cuccinelli wins it will send a shock wave throughout the country. \u00a0No one really expects Cuccinelli to come close. \u00a0It will tell every Democrat who voted for ObamaCare that they are in serious trouble.\u00a0 It will send the same message to every RINO Republican in congress.<\/p>\n

Seismic political events of this magnitude are impossible to predict because they are very rare. \u00a0I am hardly predicting it now. \u00a0But at soon, the disaster of ObamaCare will be so obvious that no one can ignore it.\u00a0 At some point every Democrat who voted for this will pay a steep price.\u00a0 We are not there yet, but we are getting close.\u00a0 What Virginia will really tell us is \u201chow close.\u201d\u00a0 It Cuccinelli somehow pulls this off, it will be proof positive that this is already happening and people will be stunned at the speed of the transformation.<\/p>\n
