This op-ed should be required reading for liberals:<\/p>\n

Ms. Liebau didn\u2019t want to be selected because of affirmative action.\u00a0 She considered that to be an insult.\u00a0 This is a prime example of how really smart people overcome barriers.\u00a0 Ms.\u00a0 Liebau understood that if she wanted to be treated as equally capable she needed to compete on a level playing field.\u00a0 If she had gained her way on the Harvard Law review through an affirmative action program, it would have meant nothing.<\/p>\n

Hmmm.\u00a0 President Obama was President of the Harvard Law Review.\u00a0 How did that happen?\u00a0 It seems pretty obvious that this was the result of the affirmative action program based on race and ethnicity described by Ms. Liebau.<\/p>\n

It is interesting to note that she won a position as a Clerk for Daniel Sentelle of the DC Circuit.\u00a0 She was very specific in saying that the fact that she had earned her position on the Harvard Law review was important to this judge.\u00a0 She feared that if the judge knew she got there under an affirmative action program, he would have questioned her actual capability.<\/p>\n

Prior to Barack Obama, the President of the Law Review went on to clerk for a Circuit Court Judge for a year and then for a Supreme Court Justice for a year.\u00a0 But, that changed with Barack Obama.\u00a0 He went back to Chicago to work for a private law firm.\u00a0\u00a0 Perhaps those Circuit Court Judges and those Supreme Court Justices had the same opinion as Ms. Liebau.\u00a0 \u00a0If you got the name without the pain it ain\u2019t the same.<\/p>\n
