http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-2172593\/Mitt-Romney-deliberately-got-booed-NAACP-appeal-white-racists.html<\/a><\/p>\nThe liberal left\u00a0and liberal media tried to spin this as racism.\u00a0 That is their standard assault on Republicans.\u00a0 They immediately came up with a bizarre theory that Romney wanted to get booed, so that he could appeal to all those racism tea party members.<\/p>\n
In reality, Romney did something remarkable, particularly for someone accused of flip flopping on issues.\u00a0 He explains his reasoning:<\/p>\n
‘I don’t give different speeches to different audiences, alright. I gave them the same speech. When I mentioned I am going to get rid of Obamacare they weren’t happy, I didn’t get the same response.”<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n‘That’s OK, I want people to know what I stand for and if I don’t stand for what they want, go vote for someone else, that’s just fine.”<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n\n\u00a0<\/div>\n
Romney didn’t pull the typical RINO tactic of only saying politically correct things when talking to the NAACP.\u00a0 Most Republicans merely talk about their committment to equal rights, while\u00a0looking terrified at the thought of saying anything that could possibly\u00a0be considered racist.\u00a0 Of course they are always slammed by the liberal media regardless of what they actually say.\u00a0 There is also no indication that any of these politically correct speeches had any positive impact.\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Romney broke the pattern.\u00a0 He did not back down from his positions, he did not bother with the standard politically correct speech \u00a0and he flat out challenged the NAACP.\u00a0 He pointed out that the minority communities have been devastated by the Obama economy.\u00a0\u00a0 Romney challenged those in attendance to look at the results rather than the rehtoric.\u00a0 Then he reminded\u00a0them that his\u00a0father, George Romney was marching with black leaders in Detroit during a time when Democratic Senators were blocking civil rights legislation.\u00a0 He told them his belief in racial equality is rooted in his religious beliefs.\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
The NAACP understood.\u00a0 Romney\u00a0received a standing ovation at the end of his speech.\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Democrats should be very afraid of Mitt Romney.\u00a0 He is making the argument Republicans should have been making all along.\u00a0 While Democrats talk about helping the little guy, the reality is that minorities typically pay the highest price for failed Democratic policies.\u00a0 While Democrats try to paint Republicans as racists, the reality is that it was the Democratic Party that institutionalized racism for much of its history while it has been the Republican Party that stood up for civil rights.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Finally a\u00a0Republican had the guts to look the\u00a0people at the NAACP straight in the eye and challenged them to seriously consider who is their real friend.\u00a0 I suspect at least some of them will listen.\u00a0 It won’t take much.\u00a0 When 96% of a group are already against you, it doesn’t take all that much to improve.<\/div>\n

By the way, Obama didn’t even bother to attend the NAACP convention, because of a scheduling conflict.\u00a0 Big mistake!<\/p>\n
