Sherriff Arpaio held a press conference today where he said there is probable cause to believe that Obama\u2019s birth certificate is a fraud.\u00a0 Sheriff Arpaio is no dummy.\u00a0 He chose his words carefully.\u00a0 He did not say that he doubted where Obama was born.\u00a0 What he said was that he had probable cause to question the authenticity of the documents.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0Naturally the folks at WND.com are hyperventilating:<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, this is far from conclusive.\u00a0 I suspect that everything the Sheriff says has some merit and I am equally convinced that in the end, we will find out that Obama was born in Hawaii.<\/p>\n

No matter what document Obama produces, it generates more questions than answers.\u00a0 His supporters try to spin this as a racist witch hunt by wild-eyed zealots who would never be satisfied with any documentation.\u00a0 They are probably right about some of the birthers, but there are legitimate questions about the documents that have been released.\u00a0 These problems are all too real.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t help that the main stream media is incapable of reporting this story straight up.\u00a0 The following CBS report is typical:<\/p>\n

The entire article is based on a premise that is not true.\u00a0 CBS claims\u00a0that \u201cHawaii officials have repeatedly confirmed Obama\u2019s citizenship. \u201c\u00a0 They pretend there are no legitimate concerns regarding the documents released by Obama.\u00a0 Actually the State of Hawaii has given conflicting and misleading comments on several occasions.\u00a0 And there are legitimate concerns with regard to the documents released by Obama.\u00a0 No official from Hawaii has ever handed out a document and said:\u00a0 \u201chere is Obama\u2019s birth certificate.\u201d\u00a0 No official from Hawaii\u00a0has ever said that the document released by Obama is a true and accurate copy of his birth certificate.\u00a0 If they did, this story would be done.\u00a0 This is\u00a0more complicated than the main stream media is reporting.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The pattern is clear.\u00a0 The documents released by Obama never completely pass the smell test.\u00a0 Eventually he produces another copy of another document.\u00a0 But he never releases the actual document; instead we get a \u201cphoto copy\u201d or a blurred picture.\u00a0 This is like watching a sleight of hand magician.\u00a0 They are brilliant at making it appear like they are showing you the real thing, while actually showing you nothing at all.\u00a0 The only \u201cwitnesses\u201d ever called up on stage are either people chosen from the audience who are clearly too stupid to ask the right questions, or shills in on the act.\u00a0 This is the identical strategy used by Obama.\u00a0 No one competent ever gets to see the real document.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I believe that Obama was born in Hawaii.\u00a0 Not because of these documents, but because that\u00a0makes the most sense.\u00a0 The theory of him being born in Kenya has\u00a0more holes than his birth certificate.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t make sense, because his parents never lived together as husband and wife.\u00a0 Based on what we know about Obama\u2019s father, the last thing he would have done is bring his white wife back to Kenya to deliver her baby.\u00a0 For one thing, he already had a wife in Kenya.<\/p>\n

One must assume that the people handling this for Obama are somewhat competent.\u00a0 They could easily produce a clear copy of his birth certificate.\u00a0 But they never do that.\u00a0 Instead they always release another photo copy or picture that leaves more than ample room for doubt.\u00a0 I believe this is deliberate.\u00a0 I suspect it is either because they want the story to go on, or because they have something really important to hide.\u00a0 Otherwise, this is just silly.\u00a0 They may be Kool-Aid drinking left-wing socialist radicals, but they are still sharper than this.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While I believe that Obama was born in Hawaii, I cannot ignore the obvious fact that there has been a deliberate and sustained cover-up.\u00a0 At best, this is merely a blatant disregard for the American public.\u00a0 At worst, Obama is desperately trying to hide \u201csomething\u201d that really matters.\u00a0\u00a0 I don\u2019t know which is worse.<\/p>\n
