http:\/\/www.nicholasm.com\/_mgxroot\/page_10680.html<\/a><\/p>\nIt is extremely important to understand the impact of Maslow\u2019s triangle on elections.\u00a0 History has taught us this on many occasions.\u00a0 Liberalism never works.\u00a0 Liberals always raise taxes.\u00a0 This never works.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Liberals always increase entitlements.\u00a0 That works brilliantly in terms of keeping them in power.\u00a0 There is always an oversupply of people willing to take free stuff.\u00a0 But eventually liberals make promises they cannot keep.\u00a0 They delay in recognizing the obvious, so they borrow more money and pretend the problem is solved.\u00a0 The result is less revenue, more debt, and more people demanding free stuff.\u00a0 Ultimately, this doesn\u2019t work either.\u00a0 Liberals always increase regulation.\u00a0 They believe that true fairness in society is only possible when the benevolent government decides who wins and who loses.\u00a0 The net result is those who actually do things are ripped off so those who don\u2019t benefit.\u00a0 Eventually we run out of those who do.\u00a0 \u00a0In every country where the government tried to solve problems with more regulations, the economy has eventually tanked.\u00a0 So, increased regulation never works either.\u00a0 Nothing liberals do actually works.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At some point the failure of liberalism is undeniable.\u00a0 \u00a0People are often fooled, for a while, by the pipe dream of liberal promises.\u00a0 But ultimately none of this matters when people fall into the lower two tiers of Maslow\u2019s triangle.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Margaret Thatcher, who came to power as the result of a failed liberal government, said it very well:<\/p>\n
\u201cSocialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess.\u00a0 They always run out of other people\u2019s money.\u00a0 It\u2019s quite a characteristic of them.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\nObama has run out of money.\u00a0 Gas prices are going to skyrocket and he can\u2019t do anything to stop it.\u00a0 He may release the strategic oil reserves, but that will have minimal impact.\u00a0 He may try to increase the tax on oil company profits, but that won\u2019t work either.\u00a0 Obama can\u2019t tax his way out of this and he doesn\u2019t have the money to pay for everyone\u2019s gas.\u00a0 The simple truth is that we can\u2019t come close to producing the oil we need.\u00a0 Our current production is up solely because of decisions made during the Bush administration.\u00a0 Even so, we still get about half of our oil from other countries.\u00a0 Obama has blocked new drilling and his ban on deep water drilling resulted in oil rigs being moved to places like Brazil.\u00a0 These are very expensive rigs and they can\u2019t be built over night.\u00a0 It will take years to recover from the blunders of the Obama administration.\u00a0 Even if Obama woke up overnight, started relaxing environmental rules and gave tax incentives to oil companies, it is too late.\u00a0 We are out of time and soon we will be out of oil.<\/p>\n
We are going to see $5 a gallon gas in the near future and it could get worse.\u00a0 In addition, there are likely to be shortages.\u00a0 Just imagine people sitting in their cars, waiting for hours, so they can buy gas at $6 a gallon.\u00a0 In the meantime they will be listening to people on the radio, like Rush Limbaugh, explaining why it\u2019s Obama\u2019s fault.\u00a0 If you think I am imagining things, then reflect back on the Carter years.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I call it the \u201cMaslow Toss Rule.\u201d\u00a0 When liberal muck things up bad enough, even the entitlement crowd realizes you can\u2019t eat false promises.\u00a0 This is why Liberals always get voted out of power in the end.\u00a0 It is why liberals were voted out of power in Canada.\u00a0 It is why they were voted out of power in Great Britain.\u00a0 It is why they were voted out of power in France.\u00a0 It is why they were voted out of power in Germany.\u00a0 It is why they were voted out of power in Wisconsin, and Michigan and Ohio and Louisiana.\u00a0 It is why Republicans ran the table in 2010.\u00a0 As recently as 2008 Democrats had increased their majority in the House, they had secured a veto proof majority in the Senate, and they had elected Barack Obama President of the United States.\u00a0 No one, I repeat, no one, would even estimate when Republicans might once again get a sniff at power.\u00a0 But liberals are always liberals, which means they never learn and they always try to govern as liberals.\u00a0 That is why they always fail.\u00a0 The only question is how long this will take and how much damage is done in the interim.\u00a0 It is why even Republicans with their traditional ability to try and seize defeat from the jaws of victory, will still do well in 2012.\u00a0 Obama is not only going to lose, he is going to get trounced.\u00a0 Maslow Toss.<\/p>\n
