GOOD GRIEF

One of the problems with liberal Democrats is that they are often incapable of seeing reality.  We saw a perfect example of that last night.  Navy SEAL Ryan Owens was killed in Yemen on January 29, 2017.  Liberal Democrats, who never pass up an opportunity to trash Trump, without regard to the facts, pounced immediately.  These are the same people who ignored combat deaths while Obama was President.  Trump was accused of make a snap judgment to order a raid in Yemen that accomplished nothing.  They even exploited the death of this young man by goading his father into trashing Trump and demanding an investigation.  When Trump pointed out that the raid was planned during the Obama administration, it did not matter to the rabid left.  The Hill even reported that Trump tried to distance himself from this disaster by blaming his generals:

Actually, Trump was merely answering a question truthfully and honestly.

“This was a mission that was started before I got here, “  Trump said.  “This was something that was, you know, just – they wanted to do.  They came to me and they explained what they wanted to do, the generals, who are very respected.  My generals are the most respected that we’ve had in many decades, I would – I believe.  And they lost Ryan.”

Last night, Trump brilliantly put this in perspective and in doing so he created one of the most emotional and captivating moments in the history of speeches by an American President.  His words were beyond eloquent:

We are blessed to be joined tonight by Carryn Owens, the widow of a U.S. Navy Special Operator, Senior Chief William “Ryan” Owens. Ryan died as he lived: a warrior, and a hero – battling against terrorism and securing our Nation.

I just spoke to General Mattis, who reconfirmed that, and I quote, “Ryan was a part of a highly successful raid that generated large amounts of vital intelligence that will lead to many more victories in the future against our enemies.” Ryan’s legacy is etched into eternity. For as the Bible teaches us, there is no greater act of love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Ryan laid down his life for his friends, for his country, and for our freedom – we will never forget him.

The camera focused on Ryan Owens widow and the raw emotion she displayed touched all our souls.

Then Trump went off script and the result was pure magic:

“Ryan is looking down right now, you know that, and I think he’s very happy because I think he just broke a record.  Ryan laid down his life for his friends, for his country, and for our freedom.  And we will never forget Ryan.”

No one, who watched that moment, could fail to realize that Trump is truly a kind and compassionate man.  President Obama never had a moment like this during the entire eight years of his Presidency, because with Obama everything was always only about him.

In the blink of an eye the mythical monster called Donald Trump, created out of whole cloth by the main stream media, disappeared in a flash of brilliance.  Donald Trump became the President of the United States and that changes everything.

All those people who have been shoving each other aside to take the cheapest possible shots at this man now lay humiliated at his feet unworthy to even approach his shadow.  The Democrats, out of touch, appropriately on the left side of the chamber looked pathetic and out of touch.  The Nancy Pelosi squad, dressed in white and sitting on their hands, looked beyond foolish and irrelevant.  Those “A” list celebrities who trashed Trump at the Oscars merely exposed themselves as silly and self-absorbed fools.  It was a beautiful thing.

Even Van Jones, who was booted out of the Obama administration because of his communist background and who is one of Trump’s most vicious and vocal critics figured this out:

“During his address to Congress, Trump ‘became President of the United States.’”
